This does look like you're defending the far right groups here @Alltheprettyseahorses (which I'm sure you weren't), you're saying that they hold 0% of the responsibility.

It's completely, totally, 100% down to the anti-woman activists

Not how I read it at !
Posie was accused of encouraging the far right white supremacy groups and All stated that the far right encouragement does not come from Posie/womens groups but comes 100% from anti-woman activists. Nowhere in that statement does All absolve the far right of any wrong doing.

Any reason you didn't post the whole sentence oldenbrown
It's completely, totally, 100% down to the anti-woman activists giving fuel to the far right with their horrendous behaviour.
Of course you didn't, the part you copied wasn't a defence of the far right in the slightest, the rest completely destroys the ridiculous allegation.

CrossStichQueen · 24/06/2022 20:16

Come on olden you are doing just the same thing as cookie!

So Tommy R chooses to support KJK and that's her fault how exactly?
Has she thanked him for his support?
Does she encourage him to support her cause?
Invited him to her rallies?
I don't think it's "her fault" so much as being aware of what "side" you're on.
All the far right shit that's aligning with feminism, I can safely say I'm glad I'm on the side where all women's rights are important.
Nowhere right now does me seeing my points sitting right just because someone far right said the same thing as me once.
Why?
Why are they amplifying your voice on this?
Not for women's benefit, that's for sure.

CrossStichQueen · 25/06/2022 05:10

All womens rights are important yes however you are on the side that will and does put the wants of males who believe they are women above the needs of females....that ain't feminisim.

What exactly do you want KJK and other womens rights support groups to do exactly? Stay silent because some on the far right also agree males cannot be women? I suppose silencing women is exactly what you and your side want.

Helleofabore · 25/06/2022 08:04

Stay silent because some on the far right also agree males cannot be women?

I read this as being exactly what some people want. That is why the ‘look at who you are aligning with’ arguments get rolled out all the time.

Of course, when ‘look at who you are aligning with’ gets rolled out… it never seems to be symmetrically applied. There really is not awareness either that if it was applied symmetrically, those people point fingers in this way, must logically be aligning themselves with people who at the very least make hateful statements towards women, or much worse.

She's on one side and that's on the one where women and girls are those of the female persuasion. Not men or boys.

That's it. There is no right or left.

And some right wing men are going to agree for their own reasons. .

The fact that you go for the KJK and not the men agreeing with her shows you also know exactly who the women are.

It's preposterous.

CrossStichQueen · 25/06/2022 08:57

Mens violence is always womens fault apparently.

I don’t even agree with all the women on FWR and I’m 99.9% positive that (in one of janets previous lives) janet and i agree on many of the issues

this ‘you’re on the side of ????’ Is tiresome, lazy and fucking stupid

Discovereads · 25/06/2022 09:18

I think the ban should stand.
It’s not just far right agreeing with Posie Parker/KJK, there is a lot of evidence that she is actively seeking them out and building alliances with the far right:
libcom.org/article/bonzo-goes-oslo-christian-fundamentalists-and-far-right-strike-new-pose

has been funded by Hands Across the Aisle Coalition, which is a collection of US radical feminists and the Christian right. It was set up, “to challenge the notion that gender is the same as sex”. Yet its co-founders are Kaeley Triller Harver, who advocates for the criminalisation of abortion, and Emily Zinos, who campaigns to repeal gay rights. They aren’t everyday conservative women and mothers: they are highly skilled female operatives of the theocratic Right.

  • She went on a trip to attend speeches by the Womens Liberation Front hosted by the Heritage Foundation. The Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF), meanwhile, is a US radical feminist organisation “dedicated to the total liberation of women and girls”. But it has extensive ties to the religious Right in the states. WoLF filed a joint Amicus brief (legal documents filed in appellate court cases by non-litigants with a strong interest in the subject matter) with the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) in an attempt to curb trans rights, which would also lead to the dismantling of lesbian and gay anti-discrimination laws. (ADF is largest right-wing evangelical Christian non-profit law firm in the US.) The Women’s Liberation Front, has been described as a “fake feminist front” after critics noted the extent of their connections to the conservative right, including a joint lawsuit with Focus on the Family, an appearance on alt-lite personality Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show, participation in an event organised by the Christian conservative Heritage Foundation, and a $15,000 grant from the Alliance Defending Freedom, another religious right group which aims “to recover the robust Christendomic theology of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th centuries.”
    • This desire of KJK to build alliances with the conservative-funded Women’s Liberation Front and the reactionary Heritage Foundation led to a serious dispute with other activists who’d previously been supportive of her project. In her account, “Why I won’t be ‘standing for women’”, Jean Hatchet described how she came to drop out of the project. “When I was told [about the links with the Women’s Liberation Front] I researched a bit. I read about Kara Dansky seeking and gaining $15,000 from Alliance Defending Freedom which is a right wing religious group strongly against abortion. I read their reasons for doing so...I raised my hand to object to pairing with them. I was ignored. I raised it again. I was ignored. I thought I must be wrong because everyone else was fine with this. I kept asking about these right wing links. My questions were either ignored or met with "It's not a problem for me". Posie said she is happy to work with anyone and will freely say so. I am not. On a personal level it is hard to go on a trip with women when you are the only one not doing things. I began to feel isolated from the group for saying I disagreed with the political decisions of other women...” (there’s more if you care to read it).
    • Parker/Keen-Minshull’s attempts to build bridges with the far-right, the situation really escalated with the next leg of the trip, where she spoke at a conference called Mot Dag, and ended up posing for photos with Hans Lysglimt Johansen, a leader of the far-right Alliance party who holds extreme anti-Jewish and anti-LGBT views, including holocaust denial, and has stated that his party probably has some overlap with the membership of the Nordic Resistance Movement. Parker/Keen-Minshull responded by saying that she didn’t know who Lysglimt was, but this doesn’t answer the question of why they were at the same event in the first place.
    • Then there’s her 80minute video entitled “Being Female with Posie Parker”,with Jean-François Gariépy. JFG is a prominent far-right YouTuber who calls for a “white ethno-state” and has made videos with neo-Nazi Richard Spencer, the white supremacist who shouted “Hail Trump!” in front of a crowd seen celebrating Trump’s 2016 election win with Nazi salutes. In videos attempting to prove white superiority and calling for all-white separatist states and a crackdown on immigration, Gariépy’s guests have included former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke and known neo-Nazi Mark Collett. During his livestream with Gariépy, Duke made several anti-Semitic comments. www.pinknews.co.uk/2019/10/15/gender-critical-posie-parker-interview-jean-francois-gariepy-mumsnet/
    Discovereads · 25/06/2022 09:29

And let’s not forget her YouTube video from 2019
”Bye Bye Miss American rights..... the left is dead to me” in which she states many reasons why she is not left wing, it is “dead to her” and so obviously, she is now right wing. m.youtube.com/watch?v=mEHECbENefo

And her appearances in Fox News with Tucker Carlson…a well known right wing news outlet.
    m.youtube.com/watch?v=acit4EcGUzE

To say Posie Parker/KJK is neither left or right wing is not true at all. She’s been right wing for years. Which isn’t a problem by itself, it’s the above alliances with and accepting funds from the far right that is the issue.

I agree 100%. She has even said that it’s worth it if abortion rights are decimated because she sees the trans issue as more serious/important. Not in my name.

In relation to the photo at the Mot Dag conference its my understanding that this was a leftist gathering and the right winger attended and asked for a photo as I am sure he did with many that day. I suppose people should start doing background checks on everyone who asks for a selfie 🤷‍♀️

I had a right winger in one of my teams once, he was a genuis and a thoroughly nice guy so I couldn't sack him and nor should I because it isn't ILLEGAL to be right wing. He knew I was a leftie, I knew he was a rightie - we worked very well together and when I ended up being his boss from him being the one that originally mentored me, he was over the moon for my promotion.

Half the USA is right wing. A fair amount of the UK is now right wing.

Not really a left wing conference as we understand left wing. Although there’s not much English-language material on Pål Steigan and the Mot Dag conference he organised, it is documented that Steigan has a long history on the anti-imperialist left, including having met with Pol Pot and Enver Hoxha. His current project appears to be a sort of “red-brown convergence squared”, as his conference brought the anti-trans axis represented by Keen-Minshull together with Eva Bartlett, Vanessa Beeley and Patrick Henningsen, three figures who’ve played a high-profile role in the international pro-Assad conspiracy theorist milieu.

All three have extensive connections to the far-right: Eva Bartlett has done interviews with holocaust deniers such as Kevin Barrett and Ryan Dawson, and writes for Global Research, a major red-brown website which also promotes the views of Lyndon LaRouche, Alexander Dugin and Infowars. Patrick Henningsen started out as an Associate Editor on Infowars, and has been a contributor to Red Ice, a Swedish alt-right project with extremely antisemitic politics. Henningsen has also interviewed Nick Kollerstrom, another Holocaust denier who used the interview to promote his book, “Breaking the Spell: The Holocaust: Myth & Reality”. Henningsen now runs a website called 21st Century Wire, which Vanessa Beeley is a frequent contributor to; other than writing articles praising Hungary’s far-right Prime Minister Orban for standing up to George Soros on a website run by an Infowars/nazi-linked conspiracy theorist, Beeley also contributes to other right-wing projects such as the Ron Paul Institute, the British Constitution Group, and was recently seen promoting an article on the Yellow Vest movement that argued:

“The French Confederation of Labour (CGT) is completely co-opted by the oligarchy; it defends mass immigration; global warmism; ecologism, homosexualism and just about every over elite-power, anti-labor obsession… President Donald Trump is the only world leader who understands what climate change nonsense would do to the working man...As I have said before, leftists are useful idiots of the oligarchy’s three key agendas:
1 Mass immigration and population replacement to turn human beings into capital.
2 The normalization of sexual perversion so as to break down the resistance capacities of the human individual.
3 Global warmingism which will provide the basis for a centralized global state apparatus controlling every aspect of our lives.
It’s the Cursed Trinity of the New World Order: Human capital is the Father, gender confusion is the Son and Co2 is the Diabolical Spirit.”

This sheds some light on why a far-right nationalist like Lysglimt felt so comfortable attending a supposedly left-wing, pro-feminist conference, as the inclusion of Bartlett, Beeley and Henningsen made it plain that antifascism was not on the agenda, and that antisemitic conspiracy theorists would be welcomed with open arms.

abortion rights have been decimated anyway and trans rights rights activists are destroying women’s rights from the Left.

Obviously Posie does speak to broadcasters from the Right but she also has support from the Left, Catherine Stock spoke up for her, Magdalene Berns did interviews with her and without a broad conversation between all women we cannot win this fight.

I mean, the innocent “I didn’t know so and so was far right” should only work once right? It’s happened several times now and honestly how can she argue that planning and going on trips specifically to meet with far right organisations is an “I didn’t know …hah hah little old innocent me”
