Posie Parker is just in make-up and about to go up against Mr Harrop. Please tune in and send her lots of good vibes!

Get in Posie.

And the last word. Fucking fantastic.

IfNotNowThenWhen1 · 26/09/2018 16:57

I think the interviewer was very goady to Posie actually-bringing up that shes banned on Twitter etc, makes her sound like a terrorist!
Posie did V well I thought.

ChilliPowderMild · 26/09/2018 16:57

Give that adult human female a large g & t

OvaHere · 26/09/2018 16:57

Is it wrong that this is making me laugh. It's like Twitter came alive on on the TV Grin

Dr Harrop is such a nasty man. He can't even hide that side of him for a sky news appearance.

I was loving the spat about Dr vs Mrs.

JuneOsbourne · 26/09/2018 16:57

Great that Posie got the last word though. Solid point made there and that should hopefully be the take away.

Alltheprettyseahorses · 26/09/2018 16:57

I really liked it. Posie's dead straight and authoritative while Harrop is dug himself into a right hole. As if it'd be any different with him.

littlbrowndog · 26/09/2018 16:57

Nopes she was very good.
Said again and again what is wrong with woman adult human female

MipMipMip · 26/09/2018 16:58

I am so proud of Posie right now. I feel like pointing out to the world that I have spoken on Twitter to this marvellous, articulate woman who stands up against bullies for her entire sex. And she got the last word! Grin

heresyandwitchcraft · 26/09/2018 16:58

Mate... How the fuck can you go on TV to defend demanding the censorship of the dictionary definition of "woman." Absolutely insane.

SwiftNC · 26/09/2018 16:58

Best finish there for posie - what an absolute fud that harrop is.

fishfingersandketchup · 26/09/2018 16:58

Wow that was awesome! I'm usually a lurker but just happened to sit down to MN at the right time and catch that. Fan bloody tastic.

SomeEnchantedEaring · 26/09/2018 16:58

So glad to see that Posie got the last word!

Melamin · 26/09/2018 16:58

Jeez he looks totally deranged I think he just is - that is why he spends so much of his time hounding women on twitter. You would think A&E would be taking his time up.

IfNotNowThenWhen1 · 26/09/2018 16:58

I'm not always a fan of Posie but I think she fucking schooled him.

Knicknackpaddyflak · 26/09/2018 16:58

Posie brilliant finish. I only caught the last minute, but Harrop, leaning forward, lecturing her as if she was a naughty five year old, talking over her, looking that patronising, is going to have peaked plenty. He was illustrating precisely what Posie was saying. Posie got the last word and no one with a grip on reality could argue with a word of it.

Lazypoolday · 26/09/2018 16:58

What a creepy man he is. I can't imagine how uncomfortable he must make his patients feel if that's how he usually addresses people

MediocreOne · 26/09/2018 16:58

Posie you are a legend.

GulagMilkMonitor · 26/09/2018 16:58
Shock
rememberatime · 26/09/2018 16:58

wow - he loves saying people's names doesn't he...? and quizzically raising an eyebrow

BadasIwannaB · 26/09/2018 16:58

I love her but I wish she had explained more clearly why it's important not to let the term 'woman' be redefined - i.e. the loss of female-only spaces and what that means for our actual safety given male violence and male sexual violence, the loss of other initiatives and protections for women that were introduced to combat sexism (e.g. women only shortlists), etc. etc.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 26/09/2018 16:58

My favourite bit was when he accused Posie (and by extension women) of appropriating the dictionary definition of woman Grin

Although they were talking over each other a lot I think Posies voice cut through really well, and TBH she came across as sane and thoughtful to me. Harrop seemed to be floundering rather. Not sure he's going to make it in media...

doctorbarbie · 26/09/2018 16:59

"Appropriating the word 'woman'" was an amazing own goal. Too right we're appropriating the word.

AncientLights · 26/09/2018 16:59

It started around 16.47 for anyone catching up. Oh I so want to make personal comments about Ade that would probably get me banished. I love that Posie left us with the idea of men being afraid of words on a bill board. How many sexist and nasty posters have there been about women over the years, ones that have made us feel unsafe to be out and about? Well done Posie, you got the boy riled.

LittleBittyKitty · 26/09/2018 16:59

It was good that Posie was allowed to get the last word in. It must have been tough for her. Shame it didn't go on longer as she was just getting into her stride at the end. I'm so proud of her, she's very brave.

He on the other hand is absolutely horrid, he appears deranged. Wonder what his NHS bosses think of all this.

SlimDogMillionaire · 26/09/2018 16:59

Brilliant. She kept it together and showed him for the fool he is.
