Razor blades and stickers again

A twitter account is saying that stickers in Manchester Oxford Road station have razor blades behind them put there by TERFS. If you are terfblocked you won't be able to view.

I guess women concerned about the current consultation in the UK are meant to have flown out to the US to put stickers in public toilets there despite the British government not much caring what Americans think about their consultation.

Its late, so just checking I have this straight:-

Zoey - lives in USA. Reported to a business owner that they had been badly hurt by razor blade hidden behind a sticker they were removing. Reluctantly later reported incident to CMPD - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. No hospital treatment required, just disinfectant - ouch, must have hurt. Has photos but refusing to post any because mums netters are reading their twitter. Currently revelling in new found twitter followers suggesting they should do leg pics (?).

Meanwhile, Erin in the UK - posts a warning of razor blades under stickers all over Manchester Oxford Road train station but doesn't report this to the police (were these stuck in public toilets, i don't recall this being specified?). Someone else replies to Erin's tweet and tags in Gtr Manchester BT Police who respond asking for further details and they will investigate. I've had a quick google and I can't see police warnings about this which is a bit concerning given the danger - nothing on either their twitter or ManchesterOxfordRoad twitter feeds. Erin later posts photos of Erin's left hand fingers saying "my hands are fine". Anyone notice Erin doesn't actually say anything about how or when the cuts across those fingers actually happened. Good to see they're healing nicely though.

That's pretty much it.

The tweets initially claimed "badly cut" and then went to "minor cuts" - which really does remind me of my children. You know "He ht me! My arm's broken!" - "there! there! see that mark!" Me: "you'll live."

What I'm confused about is this. For this to make sense T*RFs must wish transpeople and allies harm. Like fascists wish PoC and others harm. But is that the case? Actual literal (not 'literal') physical harm? Of course not. It's simply not logical. And as Judge Judy says "If it doesn't make sense, it's not true."

Please do pop along to BTP, because, well, just because we don't believe any woman would do this. We just don't. We're not violent. We're feminists and a lot of us are parents. We want to raise awareness of the changes to the GRA, but we wouldn't inflict violence on users of Manchester toilets, on cleaners, or other women and girls. Or transwomen, come to that. So come on.

Oh, and now the tweets are protected. Righteo.

Hmm, I've just realised Erin does say razor blades under stickers were "plastered all over the toilets".

Still shocked though given the danger to so many innocent users of the facilities that Erin chose to announce to twitter followers rather than report. Although given it's so late I could have missed the tweet where Erin claims to have carefully removed said offending stickers and blades, presumably disposing of them carefully in a sharps bin and thus avoiding a repeat of Zoey's appalling injuries. Pics would have been nice for the press though.

Erin and Zoey's tweets both protected. Maybe the police ARE investigating?
