A twitter account is saying that stickers in Manchester Oxford Road station have razor blades behind them put there by TERFS. If you are terfblocked you won't be able to view.

Anyone who puts razor blades behind stickers to hurt the public deserves to be prosecuted.

Absolutely.

And it's all so made up.

I will apologise if the BTP find a GC feminist has put razor blades behind stickers at Manchester Oxford St station, and the police report it.

heresyandwitchcraft · 06/09/2018 00:01

Yes - where are the threads about that. I didn't come across any when assembling the FAQs. Funny enough, haven't even seen any posters here clamouring for that knowledge, either.
All I seem to get is delicious recipe suggestions. For actual food. Not violence.

heresyandwitchcraft · 06/09/2018 00:03

My last post was a reply to Toe - apologies for cross post.

ToeToToe · 06/09/2018 00:04

They were both me, heresy

But good work on the twitter timeline of the person who posted about this. Strange indeed.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 06/09/2018 00:07

But even if any razor blades were to be found behind stickers ( Hmm ) surely the fact that they’re in public women’s toilets that could be accessed by anyone and tampered by anyone means nothing to link the original person who put the sticker up in the first place.

heresyandwitchcraft · 06/09/2018 00:12

Toe
(facepalm) Sorry, slow typer/reader.

thewitchofwentworth · 06/09/2018 00:15

If this were true they would be posting pictures everywhere of the razor blades they'd found. This is 100% fake.

Yambabe · 06/09/2018 00:16

I'm confused.

Why on earth would you try and peel a sticker off anywhere with your fingers? As anyone who has DC who have stuck them to walls, doors, windows and furniture instead of the books they are meant to go in (yes I'm looking at YOU DS, even 25 years later!) knows, you lift a corner with a nail and if it comes up you tug down (or up, depending on corner) and away. If the corner doesn't lift you try another corner.

Assuming any blade used would have to be a) small and b) away from the sticker edges to remain hidden it seems very unlikely to be able to injure someone before they could see (and therefore avoid) it.

I sincerely hope this is a hoax and nobody has been hurt (can't see Erin's photo, I'm blocked) but if not - what sort of sicko does something like this? There's something rather unfemale about the whole idea isn't there?

ToeToToe · 06/09/2018 00:16

heresy Smile You're not though didn't mean it like that Smile

ToeToToe · 06/09/2018 00:19

Yes yambabe, excellent point. How on earth would peeling off a sticker giver a paper cut as per that photo?? I just can't visualise it.

Turph · 06/09/2018 00:20

I sincerely hope this is a hoax
I'd put money on it.

ToeToToe · 06/09/2018 00:23

"A cheap spade" is being recommended on twitter at the moment for dangerous sticker removal. Sorry, but Grin

BettyDuMonde · 06/09/2018 00:24

They’ll need a ruddy big handbag.

LightofaSilveryMoon · 06/09/2018 00:30

Am reminded of Monty Python, Holy Grail film, the "Burn the witch" bit!

TRA and MRA delusions and confusion!

We know what women are. We are women. No other descriptor necessary.

Ereshkigal · 06/09/2018 00:34

Betty

Shon Faye can lend them one.

Datun · 06/09/2018 00:36

Astonishing that these kids who photograph their every waking moment, can't manage to photograph a razor blade behind a sticker.

These twits are utter children. My eight year old nephew could come up with something more plausible.

AngryAttackKittens · 06/09/2018 00:38

I used to think my excuses for doing stuff I wasn't supposed to as a child were a bit shit, but compared to this...

Turph · 06/09/2018 00:39

The worrying thing is that now they are going to try harder next time, maybe a staged pic, or fake blood, and it will be a massively viral image. We've basically told them where they've gone wrong!
This has been a brilliance thread though.

Turph · 06/09/2018 00:39

Brilliant sorry

Yambabe · 06/09/2018 00:42

Even Shon peeled off from a corner. In one of their photos you can see that the first corner they tried didn't lift and was left mangled and unpeeled!

If the corner lifts you grip it with thumb and finger in a pincer movement to do the rip away, you don't run the tips of all your fingers across it. Hmm

BettyDuMonde · 06/09/2018 00:43

Erin is very unlucky - this isn’t even the first time that Erin has found a razor blade under a sticker!

Considering this has been doing the rounds as seemingly no more than urban myth for 4 decades, for Erin to have experienced it twice at the tender age of 19 - well, life isn’t fair!

Statistically, you’d think cleaners and janitors would be way more likely to be hurt this way* than 19 year old transgender people?

*which is why feminists would never even consider doing it.

Staffori · 06/09/2018 00:45

I was in that particular station Wednesday morning, went to the loo and all. Did not see a single sticker anywhere. So they certainly weren't "all over Machester Oxford Road station" between about 9 and 9.30 am.

I call BS.

BettyDuMonde · 06/09/2018 00:46

Oxford Road isn’t very far from Media City, perhaps the BBC will do a report...

AngryAttackKittens · 06/09/2018 00:55

Friend of mine just pointed out that the individual with the pink hair looks remarkably like a grown up version of the alarming child in this image. (Tagline when it was posted was "fetch me a TERF").

thecatfromjapan · 06/09/2018 00:57

But these twitter people are based in the US?

I'm confused.

I checked because I was going to make a police complaint on their behalf.

Just in case somehow it hasn't made its way to the police, despite (seemingly) having been reported.

The Manchester thing never.happened.
