Right now!

Yours was the best comment on that thread.

HavingALittleBabyToolshed · 04/09/2018 23:54

drradfem

I thought your post was terrific.

UpstartCrow · 04/09/2018 23:54

Sorry that was to drradfem.

KatherinaMinola · 04/09/2018 23:58

You can't magic up an end to misogyny through grandstanding proposals on the one hand while simultaneously working with people who are doing everything in their power to row back the scant rights women have secured.

Abso-bloody-lutely.

drradfem, could you re-post your comment here? I thought it got to the heart of the issue too.

SturdyEarmuffs · 04/09/2018 23:59

Stella is on twitter responding to a TRA troll, claiming she's been trying to post on the now disappeared thread but can't.

BettyDuMonde · 05/09/2018 00:02

She’s welcome to post it here instead!

AngryAttackKittens · 05/09/2018 00:02

In case my comment also gets deleted for talking back to teacher, I'll summarize it here as "we shouldn't need hate crime legislation to ban upskirting, as upskirting should already be a crime in its own right".

Vickyyyy · 05/09/2018 00:03

You got replies venice..

'"When did men's sexual perversions become socially acceptable and progressive? What are the Labour Party going to do about this? " ... Are you implying that viewing, creating, enjoying pornography should be a hate crime? Or made illegal?'

and

'I love the atheist feminist lesbian activist Greta Christina, she's produced a lot of BDSM porn. I know she is based in the US but I don't think she'd be happy with her sisters in the UK being banned from producing porn because "drradfem" thinks it is "perverted"...'

Carrrotsandcauliflower · 05/09/2018 00:03

It’s a go-around; you can’t presumably charge a trans woman with mysoginy against a woman if you redefine woman, get mysoginy listed as a hate crime and anybody under the new woman umbrella can say what they like to women and girls. Not that they aren’t just doing that now anyway in droves. What a shame Mums net didn’t allow the thread to run on too.

How convenient that the Stella comes back right when the thread goes poof. I bet shes also not going to be around to reply tomorrow when its reinstated either Grin

Carrrotsandcauliflower · 05/09/2018 00:05

misogyny sorry I’m crap at spelling.

BettyDuMonde · 05/09/2018 00:05

Have we got an umbrella as well now?

I invariably leave mine in the pub. Can’t be trusted with it.

I prefer a plastic rain bonnet, actually. Channelling me Nan.

Carrrotsandcauliflower · 05/09/2018 00:07

Ha ha I beleive we are being given an umbrella-but I’m not taking it. I’m northern and completely impervious to rain.

BettyDuMonde · 05/09/2018 00:14

I’m transnorthern - born in the Home Counties, living in Manchester. The first winter I was here I got chilblains. I thought they were something from a Dickensian novel or an empty threat (like failing your 11 plus and having to work in a lampshade factory) but it turns out they are real!

And they hurt!

drradfem · 05/09/2018 00:18

It was a long comment about how porn culture makes women unsafe and how men's paraphilias have become socially acceptable and that it's progressive to defend them.

I'm so angry about this atm. What fucking world are we living in when we can't define misogyny because nobody dares define what a woman is? How can exhibitionist perverted men accuse US of 'slut shaming', 'kinkshaming' and MISOGYNY?

deepwatersolo · 05/09/2018 00:19

I strongly suggest to heed Lisa Muggeridge‘s advice.
We know who we are. We are women, adult human females, and nobody gets to define our boundaries for us. This very fact is a narcisstic injury to those, whose false identity we do not validate by asserting our boundaries. The only thing left to do is let their narcisstic rage play out (they can‘t help it), calmly document and record their male pattern abusive behaviour and on this basis hold decision makers‘ feet to the fire regarding protection from male abuse. E.g. Posting that pic of a post partum woman? This guy will never pass as a woman. It is typical male abusive behaviour. They are so pathological, they even feel compelled to invade a chatforum for mothers. to realize they feel compelled to do so...
We are Winning this. By simply asserting our boundaries as women.

drradfem · 05/09/2018 00:22

'"When did men's sexual perversions become socially acceptable and progressive? What are the Labour Party going to do about this? " ... Are you implying that viewing, creating, enjoying pornography should be a hate crime? Or made illegal?'

I certainly think that violent pornography should be made illegal. And we should bloody well kinkshame till the cows come home.

drradfem · 05/09/2018 00:25

'I love the atheist feminist lesbian activist Greta Christina, she's produced a lot of BDSM porn. I know she is based in the US but I don't think she'd be happy with her sisters in the UK being banned from producing porn because "drradfem" thinks it is "perverted"...'

I DGAF what pornographers think about me

HavingALittleBabyToolshed · 05/09/2018 00:25

I saved your comment Drradfem (to send to my MP) if you would like me to post it?

HavingALittleBabyToolshed · 05/09/2018 00:26

Have we got an umbrella as well now?

The umbrella has been widened so much it’s a bloody gazebo.

BettyDuMonde · 05/09/2018 00:28

I’m definitely not being held responsible for getting a gazebo back home from the pub!

Please do repost it, Dr Radfem- it was a great comment.

Stella C might even have time to pop by and read it.

Datun · 05/09/2018 00:29

I don't agree there is any such thing as kink shaming. If it's not shameful, then they shouldn't be worried.

It's a new word to stop women condemning perverts and misogynists.

Well I condemn. And judge.

And if asked, I can quite easily say why.

And if that's offensive, so what?

AngryAttackKittens · 05/09/2018 00:31

I mean, if someone attempted to shame me for liking long hair on men I'd just be confused, because what's shameful about that? If the things you like involve hurting people, otoh...

Carrrotsandcauliflower · 05/09/2018 00:32

BettyDuMonde
That cracked me right up. Takes a couple of Dickensian winters to climatise.❄️❄️❄️
