Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

We are different

Is it wrong if me to feel like there are differences between men and women and that's what makes us human?

Aside from equal pay debate (I believe same job, same pay) and similar- I do believe that there are inherent, natural differences between men and women. But it doesn't seem ok to think this or say it anymore?!

I also feel like a lot of 'feminists' use that umbrella to man- bash. Don't get me wrong, I have known a good few awful men, I've also known a good few awful women. We can't tar everyone with the same brush?!

Thoughts?

Titanic/mammoths/mines/women in my country aren't nice so that's why I had to procure a mail order wife...

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 24/08/2018 23:09

Odd how Lang's Weetabix banana Horror suddenly sounds quite appealing

Umm

Am I allowed to drench it in flavoured gin?

sociopathsunited · 24/08/2018 23:10

I would share my toast with marmots any day. Marmots are great!

AngryAttackKittens · 24/08/2018 23:11

Then you'd have soggy bits of Weetabix floating in gin, and that sounds even worse.

Wilhamenawonka · 24/08/2018 23:11

Yay! I'm accepted.

In that case let me introduce you to...
Carrot cake porridge
Bakewell tart porridge and
Lemon pie porridge

You're probably not ready for savoury porridge yet (i get bored easily of breakfast recipes)

AngryAttackKittens · 24/08/2018 23:11

Kind of like a thick gin soup.

Datun · 24/08/2018 23:12

I was told by my father that if feminists wanted change they should do something about it and stop whining.

That's hilarious.

AllDayBreakfast · 24/08/2018 23:14

Ok, maybe it was a bit of a rant! But I find it difficult to fathom the hate so many posters on here seem to have for men - I can honestly say that I don't see the equivalent from men, and I work in one of the most outdated, backwards, male-dominated industries going - plenty of wolf whistling knuckle draggers but they don't hate women.

I did state several times that male suicide isn't women's problem, but posters are still pondering "why do men have to insist women deal with it?", which is not what any man on this thread is doing. What I said is that it doesn't help men open up about their feelings when women continually tell them that they (women) have it worse.

Wilhamenawonka · 24/08/2018 23:14

Datun I know but where to go with that?
That sheer level of pig headed refusal to even talk about anything. Is there any solution.
I end up a spluttering incoherent wreck

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 24/08/2018 23:15

Then you'd have soggy bits of Weetabix floating in gin, and that sounds even worse

I might not remember it in the morning though

sociopathsunited · 24/08/2018 23:15

Golden syrup. Perfect on porridge.

AllDayBreakfast · 24/08/2018 23:16

....and I think what you might actually have heard is "what about the Alpen?"

LangCleg · 24/08/2018 23:17

Carrot cake porridge
Bakewell tart porridge and
Lemon pie porridge

Definitely stick around!

Datun · 24/08/2018 23:18

What I said is that it doesn't help men open up about their feelings when women continually tell them that they (women) have it worse.

It's not a competition.

It's just that it's nothing to do with feminism how bad men have it.

Neither has anyone on this thread said they hate men. That's only come from people who disagree with women on this thread!

And if you haven't seen it how much some men hate women here, have a gander...

Men have generally been the ones responsible for protecting our society from threat and they still continue to. The argument levied against this always seems to be "yeah, but the threat is male violence."

I was going to go with the fact that men deprived women of the opportunity to get an education or to defend society, including executing women for having the temerity to defend themselves from men.
Still, I thank you for the sake of the lurkers for reminding us of how utterly impossible it is for most men to view women as people.

LangCleg · 24/08/2018 23:18

Apropos of nothing once again, I find myself musing on my belief that Kleenex will never go out of business.

sociopathsunited · 24/08/2018 23:19

Or raspberry jam and a wee drop of almond extract. Delicious.

Datun · 24/08/2018 23:20

Wilhamenawonka

Stick it on a T-shirt. And wear it round his house, every time. Without saying anything.

Datun · 24/08/2018 23:21

musing on my belief that Kleenex will never go out of business.

Kleenex!

Wilhamenawonka · 24/08/2018 23:21

I find that if i put the children and myself in boiler suits then we don't need kleenex to mop upthe porridge disasters.
Then a quick wash in a mixed load at 40 and we're ready for tomorrows breakfast adventures

thebewilderness · 24/08/2018 23:22

2nd rule of misogyny: Women saying no to men is a hate crime.

Wilhamenawonka · 24/08/2018 23:23

Instead of almond essence try ground almonds and almond milk for bakewell tart porridge

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 24/08/2018 23:23

But I find it difficult to fathom the hate so many posters on here seem to have for men

Dont be silly

thebewilderness · 24/08/2018 23:25

Not only did he fail to stick the flounce but he just can not stop digging!

LangCleg · 24/08/2018 23:25

**

Well, you know, probably the need for quantity makes it more like Tesco Value.

whispers "under Bird's Eye" in Datun's direction and runs off sniggering
