You've made me all nostalgic for a good British pub.

When I was learning to drink, my go to was Pernod and black; til I went home with a boy I really really fancied and puked purple all over his white shag pile rug ahhh good times

Maybe I should try a negroni - looks similar but healthy what with the orange peel.

OK, so I went out, tried and very much enjoyed the negroni. And I’ve also now had wine, so maybe hitting the Dark and Stormies too hard.

It is also very late here and maybe I should stop reading but it’s so hard!

Are we winning? Even a little? Sometimes I think so, and when I go out and talk, I meet receptive people.
Other times, sheesh, I feel so old. It feels like we’ve only just started to make inroads into being seen. And now - well it can also feel like a fire sale of women’s rights. Except we’re not the ones making the money.

I’ll name change tomorrow and start again.

I think we're winning! And we're getting plenty good practice for the next fight.

I don't know if we are winning, I think the race started without us so there was a lot of lost ground to cover, but I think we at least can see the other runners now.
The above makes complete sense to me but I have just completed the 100 days no drinking challenge, and have had three sips of prosecco.

Girl I worked in a pub many years ago and we had a vomit situation, it was clearly Pernod and black so when the collective company lied about the vomit I was able to tell them that only one person was drinking Pernod and black currant. I was in charge of the bar so their bullshit didn't really hold true. I don't like liars and that's why I'm very uncomfortable with the current situation regarding Women's rights. I've never posted on this thread before because there are so many erudite women and because of my lack of education I feel a bit intimidated. Having said that, I've learned so much

I had an immoderate amount of rosé wine last night, so much so that I didn’t even see the Bluestocking reappear on the board.

Glad to see the blue stocking back. Ive stopped drinking alcohol coz it just makes me ill for days after. Im really enjoying fruit smoothies just now. Does the pub do these?

It's a wee bit early for booze and gin is my preferred summer spirit, so I'll have a large frothy coffee and sit and ponder the strangeness of the boards these past few weeks..is it the weather/summer holidays/BoJo/Brexit...any ideas?

Loving the idea of BST - very similar to what Nigella's says about airport lounges and Christmas Day, it's fine to drink at any time.

The Bluestocking provides any drink you desire, at whatever time of day.
It's for me, mostly. It's a place where you will never be looked at askance for your choices or coerced into more alcohol than you want, and certainly safe from spiking.

I'm having coffee with home-made breads rolls and jam from the blackberries I picked on Thursday.
