If you're not familiar with this supposed physician (yes, really), then you need to get over to Twitter and see this.

Harrop seems to spend most of his time harassing and insulting natal women whilst unquestionably supporting trans women. He is hiding behind his "medical expertise" and using it to shout women down.

It's both hilarious and terrifying!

There are a number of mass (terf) blockers. I think saw somewhere that an option on one of them would block anyone who followed a designated number of accounts which were already on the (terf) block list.

He blocked me too. My account is on private. I hadn’t tweeted him, merely liked a tweet questioning whether he’s in the right profession. Seems he doesn’t like the fact that these uppity women don’t agree with him.

More likely he's trying to minimise the damage he's done by making it harder to see his tweets. Or he thinks it's clever and funny to block people. I'm sure he realises that blocking someone can't stop them reading your tweets and it's very easy to do so. Either with another account or logged out.

I've also been blocked by him and I'm only just learning how to Twitter so haven't made any tweets, just liked and retweeted some gender-critical stuff.

I expect he's using a snowflake block list for those who don't like to be exposed to the opinions of people they disagree with.

It's really not on that he's in favour of women receiving death threats to "teach them a lesson".

I mean stepping back from this, with all sorts of stuff on the net, there's so much unpleasantness. But what he has said is really over the line. No-one deserves to get death threats, and he's not neutral, he's pleased, and hopeful that she will be so scared she will toe the line in future.

Oh, and the stuff about child brides is unfathomably vile as well (until you understand that people with opinions like this don't see women and girls really as people, and then it makes perfect sense).

He might have finished training and decided to locum before getting a permanent job. Everybody in GP world locums first. It's not odd at all, it's normal. It's a buyer's market - why settle down when you can take time to pick and choose.

Lot's of GPs never do anything else and stay as professional locums.

You can't criticise him on this score.

The funny thing I find about twitter is that if someone blocks you then you just sign out.
