How do we get this seen more?
It’s so difficult for many of us to share on social media because of legitimate fear of attack. Millions of people use this site and only 7000 have signed. I that number and the admirable work of so many women is amazing but I truly think we need to hit 100,000 for it to be taken seriously. At 10,000, we will just get a “we’ve read your petition, noted” reply.

We need 500 signatures per day to reach 100,000 by the end of the 6 months.

Which celebrities will back this?
What about Julia BH? JK Rowling? Graham Linehan? Gillian Anderson? Germaine Greer?

definitely. do not understand at all.

No one will tweet the link at the moment as its likely to get them discredited. That’s the truth of it. However nicely worded it is, I think high profile people are worried about whether or not the people behind it (A Woman’s Place etc) are legit and not just the front for far-right extremists.

I think there is definitely an element of be careful what you wish for. The wrong person would be damaging.

Ricky Gervais hovers on the line for me, to be honest. I’d love Abbie Burdess and Robert Webb personally. But I just think it’s unlikely anyone will publicly align themselves.

Just keep putting it out there. The wording is fine - they are probably just wondering why, if it sounds so reasonable, it is not mainstream and all their friends aren't doing it. One day they will work out there is nothing wrong with it and sign.
