I am about to ID as a man

In 1.5 hours, I will be identifying as a gay man who does not conform with male gender stereotypes. I expect my local leisure facility to comply with the Swim England guidelines and agree that I am entitled to access the men-only swimming sessions, the male showers and toilets and to wear swimming trunks. I also expect them to re-educate any other man who objects to any of the above.

In other words, I have a meeting with the local swimming pool at 10 to see whether or not I’ll be resorting to topless swimming and public nudity tonight in an effort to prove my point that the Swim England guidelines are ridiculous

You can’t be ‘fluid’ with the your gender, just like you can’t be ‘a bit’ bisexual. You either is or you isn’t. Pick a team already!

Consult with women on proposals to enshrine 'gender identity' in law

The government proposes to amend the law to allow people to self-identify as men or women, and to stop allowing organisations in sensitive situations to exclude people of the opposite birth sex. We call for women to be consulted on how to protect women and girls' rights, safety, privacy and dignity.

We call for:

• Respectful and evidence-based discussion about the impact of proposed changes and for women's voices to be heard.
• The government to consult with women’s organisations on how self-declaration would impact on women-only services and spaces, data-gathering, and monitoring of sex-based discrimination.
• The principle of single-sex spaces to be upheld – and where necessary extended.

Thank you for organising. This is like some sort of cult and I don't want to be seeing historic cases many years down the line saying people knew and did nothing.

Petitions need five signs to go live so maybe why? In the confirmation email to sign you do get what the petition is and I can copy that bit of mine to give people confidence that it is legit?
