I'd just thought of a reply to our latest drop and run when you inconsiderate lot went and took all the spaces up on the last thread (ah, I see what you did there Grin) and I think it needs saying to our regular drop ins - I figure this is the sort of thread that will draw their virtuous wrath/ illiterate sympathy.

Anyway...

Too many posts to read but I agree with the OP - the transphobia on this website is shocking. A penis is just that, a penis, a sex organ, not an indicator of gender and if you can't get your head around that I suggest you repeat it to yourself daily until you do

Why can none of the posters who pop on here to scream transphobia maintain concentration long enough to actually read anything they are spurting their glittery virtue at?

I on the other hand, can actually read (I know, go me! Grin) so I'm curious. If this site (and I'm sure you are aiming at this particular section) was even a fraction as transphobic as the people who can't read think...why am I happy to be here, reading and replying? Why is the only place that my own concerns aren't met with derision or hatred?

Don't worry, I don't expect an answer. I suspect I lost you after the first syllable.

joek I think the OP was replying to a rather impolite poster on the MikePeterson thread who basically called everyone a transphobe if they don't believe a man with a penis who says he feels like woman should be allowed into all women spaces. The OP was defending women against the silly boy/pretendladymen who in reality actually hate us violently.

I think one of the things happening to many of us on here is that we keep looking for rationality and reason in this debate to find a way through, and then we're shocked and confounded when there is none (rationality and reason, I mean), but yet they keep 'winning' ( or whatever the hell you want to call it ). How can they keep winning when they have no rational argument?

I had another question on a different board, but it didn't get picked up, so I wondered if anyone here could answer it... How the heck are schools (esp Universities, as they are really under the microscope) teaching biology now? Are they really changing actual biology to suite this agenda, and what words can/can't be used?

In our universities I do know that Women's Studies Courses are gone and have been replaced by Gender Studies. Anybody else know of big changes like this?

I feel like I'm getting more shocked instead of less shocked everyday. I'm sure in the next few months I will just seethe and become a stone cold bitch. I look forward to it.

I'm posting this here...it's from the thread about the Oxfam sex abuse scandal....and I've just done some reading on the massive abuse of trafficked women in warzones by UN "peacekeepers" and I feel this is relevant.

They can't even be trusted in fucking warzones, when they are being paid to protect people, where they are supposed to be saving peoples lives, where they are supposed to be bringing "peace"

Why the actual fucking fuck would I trust them in a refuge or toilet???

I mean.'..they literally can't stop raping and exploiting women, even trafficked, terrified abused underage girls who have been through immense trauma

But yeah, if they stick on a fucking dress that makes it all so fucking hunky dory

A pp was mentioning calling men cis-men which I thought was a great idea. Another thought... calling ALL men, women. After all if dicks are now female than that means ALL men are female. How long would real men go being identified as women?

Also noted the men's club have gotten away with men's only without repercussion. How can anyone look at this blatant double standard and think 'yeah, that's perfectly acceptable'?

I'm still new to all this info, so apologies if I'm a bit rant-yBlush

I don't have a spare 5K to stump up! But I do think it is interesting, and if we could find backing, does anyone else think there would be interest in a Spartacus political party? One that recognised biological sex and had women's interests at heart.

Women are in the walking on eggshells stage of the abusive relationship with transgender advocates.
The cryptic remarks that derail conversations coupled with the "you know what you did" routine are common on forums.
DARVO is also a common tactic with these abusive males. Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender.

Yes to Lana's comment about peacekeepers and war zones. There is no outfit that a man can wear that tells you that that particular man is no danger. Even with extensive hormone treatment and cosmetic surgery most trans women don't pass. So, there you are in a space where you're vulnerable, and a male person appears. You're supposed to go "oh, wearing a frock with flowers on, this particular male person is no threat"? Really? Even after you find out what AGP is and how common it is?

It's just not a reasonable expectation, and the blithe dismissal of women's concerns coupled with the "oh well it's not like it will open the floodgates" comments makes it clear that the people arguing in favor regard at least some increase in attacks on women and girls as acceptable collateral damage.

The problem is that culturally we don't regard attacks on women and girls as a problem at all. They're regarded as entertainment and wank-fodder. Why aren't more of us appalled by the rapey nature of mainstream porn? By the relentless menu of fictionalised rapes and murders of women and children on mainstream television? By our more-or-less total failure to prosecute rape or dv?

Women have trained themselves not to see it. Men just don't think it's a problem.

I think the current push to make things easier for predators via self-ID may be a lightbulb moment for a lot of women who have trained themselves not to see it.

This is literally all about men still thinking they have ownership over us.

It's not a problem until it's a woman you "own".

Women are fair game unless it's "your" wife/girlfriend/sister/mother.

It's still, and always about ownership and power.

I know I shouldn't be surprised, because I know that transactivism does attract the authoritarian types ,who would dearly love for women to be "re-educated" into more "acceptable" attitudes towards men, but bloody hell...
