I've just received a PM from ShroedingersMew directing me to a website where, apparently, I am being bitched about.

I haven't bothered even to click on the link. But I just wanted to let the other feminists on here know in case something similar happens to them.

I would say the best thing to do is ignore the link, ignore the website altogether, and not let them have the traffic.

There are two things abusive men hate: being laughed at, and being ignored.

I agree with BoF.

There is a very wide range of views on the Feminism topic on almost any issue. Apart from the very core of "men and women should be equally treated/valued/respected", on nearly everything else you could find someone to disagree with you. There are posters who I often agree with and those who I often disagree with. I don't see the need to try to close down a forum because I disagree with people on it nor do I choose to personally insult people just because they have views that differ from my own.

i do...however this is because i feel that taking the piss sometimes[for me]is a outlet for frustrasion.[in general]
this board has been over run with trolls lately.
i dont mind talking to anyone and im always interested in theyre views but when someone starts making stupid blogs ect against others....theyre cause goes down in my estemation.[who ever it is]
the sad thing is....theres been people on here that i havent agreed with/not quite understood or have tryed to talk about some emotive stuff[i feel]...and i would of liked to talk to but because ive felt that they was trolls with only one motive and one motive only....obviously not worth bothering.
the other side of it[for me]has been...theres been men on here who i have been very interested with getting into a discussion with..but ive not been able to make out what theyre motives are/have been[if any]...and they might of been genuine.
these guys are not only not helping theyreselves[mra]...they are doing the men on here no favours.
[it goes without saying that im pissed off with them keep trolling the women]

Interesting. The thread (and maybe the whole section) where the photos were posted has disappeared. Someone had posted about enfringement of Intellectual Property in the photos and quoting MN Ts&Cs and getting sued so maybe that's why or maybe it's just been hidden from guests.

If he's the same person who owns the MN sucks page on FB, he still only has 38 people liking that page and I think that's only because you have to like it to comment.

I haven't even checked his Twitter. (mainly because I am shite with Twitter and really don't understand it.)

I am enjoying the sockpuppet names, especially 'PassingStranger'. You know, he's just this guy, he was just passing and happened to notice this dangerous maverick taking on MN feminists. But he's a stranger and is in no way good old Organic or whatever he's called.

Oh and guys, there are a lot of people using the name Organic, he says, which explains the varied responses. It's nothing to do with how much he's drank/how long he's been banging his head against the keyboard in a frothing, impotent rage/if his mum's calling him down for dinner.

There's a comment on the MN sucks FB page by the owner saying it's good someone is keeping the page active while he is busy elsewhere. Then in brackets it says (Mum is making me clean my basement)

I don't know about age but my guess is that he's going through the family courts, probably representing himself and making a complete mess of it. Judging by the rubbish he's written on that website, it's easy to imagine how that could happen. He may or may not be getting a raw deal but he's become unhinged and needs someone to blame. Alternatively, he may just be an idiot.

You're missing the point SWC - you get freedom of speech if you have (or are) a dick.

If you are female - you get the hoover and you keep your gob shut.
