Tiny lump on labia majora 8 months inside

Bex4567 · 27/01/2026 14:33

I have a small hard lump on my labia majora on the inside near hair ridge not the hair on the outside.

It's been there for about 8 months skin coloured feels like a hard lump under skin.
Can see it slightly on surface but mainly under skin.

Only sore if I squeeze it repeatedly.
Worried as I have persistent hpv on smear

Anyone else had this not changed in size or colour ...
GP said cyst but not convinced due to being there so long .

It’s rock hard, attached to the skin so doesn’t move. Size of a very small pea. I don’t think it itches.

Is yours under the skin that's where mine is on my labia majora...
Ivevtried to pin it but unable to its hard and deep under skin

I agree it's probably a wee cyst, have you tried a super hot flannel on it to see if it helps raise it to the fur face.

Edit: my fucking god this is tablet, I promise I wrote surface! 😀

Edited

Fur face made me laugh as a cute euphanism 😂.
OP i'm unfortunately i've had a bartholomews cyst. It was really bad about ten years ago. Still have a little bump.

It’s attached to the skin of that makes sense, about 1/4 of it as a lump above the skin with the rest below.

It’s just above the clitoral hood.

OP in the gentlest of ways, repeatedly asking the same questions days on from your OP is doing nothing to allay your fears due to your HA.
You’ve seen your doctor and he has given an opinion. You’ve now got 2 options: accept that and forget about it, or seek another opinion from a different GP. If they say the same, then you really have nothing to worry about.

I’ve had a bartholins cyst on and off for 30 years! It has been checked by gp. Doesn’t really feel hard more like a squishy but solid lump. I had one in my 20s that grew painful and huge and was surgically drained but returned soon after and it changes shape throughout the month but gp assures me as long as not painful all ok but I would always get lumps checked out

Oh really thankyou for your reply.
What was your like please how long did u have it...mines quite hard so don't no if I could get tweezers to it itvdont have a head just sort of white ish when u stretch skin

Maybe only around 3-4 months. Like you I couldn’t settle. I did book another appointment for the practice nurse but attacked it a few days before. I found the hot flannel a couple of times helped to see what was going on. It’s just a very awkward place 🤦🏼‍♀️

I thought your username looked familiar OP. I commented on your thread when you thought you had breast cancer last year.

You really, really need treatment for your health anxiety.

Excuse me....that's rude....u don't no its my health anxiety do you... it could actually be something sinister...I don't think u should judge or even comment unless u have the same issue as me

It is your health anxiety. It's not normal to still be searching for more and more cyst anecdotes days after your original post and interrogating everyone who answers about the shape, size, and itchiness of their cyst.

You do need help with this.

I do know it's your health anxiety.

Have you been diagnosed with breast cancer yet? You were convinced you had it last summer and you were rude to me and some other posters who have had breast cancer and were trying to reassure you.

Okay, maybe not rude then, maybe dismissive of our experiences of actually having had breast cancer. Which thinking about it is rude.

But you've not got breast cancer I assume? So this latest lump is vanishingly unlikely to be anything bad. You need proper help with your health anxiety.

I was in no way rude to anyone ..my ultrasound was fine they saw nothing but 40 this year so ill get a mammogram soon....
You can really say it's nothing ..I mean having hpv increases the risk of having vulva cancer...so it's only natural to worry more than a normal person who dosnt have it...
I'm mearly asking what others are like to compare there's to mine...

As obv there's are ok..I'm not doing any harm and don't feel I'm being rude to anyone

You have been reassured on here many times. Book a GP appointment for your health anxiety.

Idontspeakgermansorry · 03/02/2026 08:43

You're doing harm to yourself because this isn't healthy.

Bex4567 · 04/02/2026 14:00

Coz I've got pain in my food and back if it was cancer could it of spread to my bones ect...I'm freaking out.

Docter has checked it and said its a cyst but i don't believe them

In that case , if you won’t accept what a professional says, why ask random posters on here? You’ve been told what it is. Now put it out of your mind, unless it causes problems.

Seriously, none of us can answer any of this. You're feeding your anxiety here but you need to speak to a doctor about it.
