Tiny lump on labia majora 8 months inside

Bex4567 · 27/01/2026 14:33

I have a small hard lump on my labia majora on the inside near hair ridge not the hair on the outside.

It's been there for about 8 months skin coloured feels like a hard lump under skin.
Can see it slightly on surface but mainly under skin.

Only sore if I squeeze it repeatedly.
Worried as I have persistent hpv on smear

Anyone else had this not changed in size or colour ...
GP said cyst but not convinced due to being there so long .

I had this for about 18mths. Did the needle thing a few times and it went smaller temporarily, then would harden to the same size again. Final time I needled it, I wiggled the needle and hooked a hair, which turned out to be an ingrown hair of no joke, about 4 inches long, all coiled up. Went in about 24hrs after that was pulled out.

Wernt the docters concerned by it

how Do I know what, OP? That you’ve got health anxiety or that it’s a cyst?

I know you’ve got HA as all you’re doing now is seeking reassurance over and over again. You’re feeding the anxiety. You say you’ve been told it’s a cyst or something pretty much unremarkable yet your brain isn’t allowing you to accept this

you need to see a dr about the real issue here - your anxiety. And try and stop continually asking and asking about how people know it’s a cyst etc. You merely make yourself worse

This.

I meant how do u no its a cyst...
Im mearly trying to get comparison and experiences from other people.. i clearly have health anxiety im sure the majority of people on here do ..

Im just asking if anyone has the same to make me feel better which I'm sure the majority of people do when they write these posts

Not everyone has health anxiety. I did. I dont anymore. And i can guarantee no matter how many times you ask people the same question, it wont go away or change the fact you have something on your body that is not usually there.

You need to speak to someone regarding anxiety and if you cant take the reassurance on here or from your GP, go to a gynaecologist. This might come across harsh, but no one on here is going to be able to help you.

Hi OP,

I have two one is a small lump and the one next to it feels like a pin prick lump! Both on the inside right next to each other. I’ve had them for about 9 years, they are painless and right under the skin. I did go to the gp when I first found them and she wasn’t concerned and said they were cysts and would eventually pop….9 years later they are still there and still the same size!

Mine is on the inside too! It never gets inflamed or any bigger it’s sort of just stayed the same for the past 9 years! I always forget it’s there.

I hope you’re a little reassured from that Smile

Please just go back to the GP. Nobody else's anecdote has any bearing on whether your cyst is just a benign harmless cyst, or something more sinister. All the questions and searching for reassurance aren't actually doing you any good.

They're not because they have no effect on your cyst. Theirs could be fine, yours could be not.

If you want to be properly reassured, go back to the doctor.

So go to the doctor and you'll feel better after being checked by an actual medical professional. That's the only way to know 🤷‍♀️

I know. Get a second opinion, like I said in the first comment on this thread, and be done with it.

I have one OP, about 1cm forward of my clitoris. I saw the GP about it who said it was nothing to worry about.

One had it for about 3 years now, never changed. Almost came up over night.

I would like for it to disappear so may get a needle out! I had to explain to DH that it was nothing to worry about. Blush

I had one for months that dr said was a cyst. Sometimes it felt like it was gone ie first thing in the morning but as the day went on I could feel it again. I got a hot flannel on it and got the tweezers out. Was a blocked hair follicle. The white bit your describing is very similar to mine.

It’s rock hard, attached to the skin so doesn’t move. Size of a very small pea. I don’t think it itches.
