What is the quickest way to heal a sore vagina??

So at the weekend had a very err active sex session… but I am sore! In the entrance to my vagina on one side I have a sore, I think probably like a friction burn? What is the quickest/best way to heal it?? I’m keeping it clean especially after I have been to the toilet but it hurts! Don’t really want to go to GP as I don’t think they can do much other than suggest something over the counter? I have sudocream, germolene, tea tree oil… any suggestions please??

@BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz

Did you use condoms?
Doesn't sound like it....

I’ve been thinking about your vadge OP - could you try the yellow metanium nappy rash cream on it? It heals anything fantastically quickly and should create a barrier to stop the stingy wee’s? It’s literally designed for the nether regions too…

TolkiensFallow · 13/01/2022 21:09

If it hurt instantly it doesn’t sound like herpes…

BiscuitLover3678 · 13/01/2022 21:14

I hope you’re ok op and have spoken to the Dr now.

Your opening line made me laugh! Grin

@thebigpurpleone

Have you told him? You both need tests for herpes
They can only accurately test active sores - doesn’t sound like the other party has any. However, TOTALLY agree that the OP needs to get tested while she can and not dismiss it as rough sex wounds.

There was a thread a while ago that started like this…it was herpes. Let me see if I can find it.

Sound like a sex bruise to me, I’ve had similar when I’ve gone straight to sec when I was quite ‘ready’, in any case a trip to the GP for a check up would soon put your mind at ease.

DustyMaiden · 14/01/2022 00:08

@Ouchmy
Not really I think it has anaesthetic and is medicated.

Just popping back as I have seen GP. She said def not herpes, it is just ‘trauma’. Gave me a lecture about lube Blush Grin lesson learnt! She said it will heal itself and not to do anything with it. She said salt bath will irritate it… needs to hurry up and heal!

You should still get it swabbed. If you read the other thread that was linked on here, that other person was also told by her GP that it's not herpes and then she had it swabbed later on and it was. Better to be safe and rule out all causes!

TolkiensFallow · 15/01/2022 08:35

@ABitOfAShitShow @Whitegrenache I aim to please!

Glad you’re ok OP! And congratulations on the cracking sex life

Ouchmy · 17/01/2022 13:12

I’m back Blush so I had swabs and they are all negative so no herpes or anything. I’m still sore though. GP said literally only advice was use aqueous cream in the shower…. But I want to be trying to get it to heal ASAP! I’m still sore having a wee and still uncomfortable! What hasn’t helped is for some strange reason after going to the toilet I have piles that I didn’t have yesterday. Fucks sake!!! It was itchy yesterday and looked like thrush was also beginning, great! So last night did a canesten pessary and the cream. So not itchy that much today but seriously give me a break!!!

Are there any nurses or anything on here that can help? I want to be proactively doing everything I can to help promote healing ASAP!! Just want my poor normal vagina back. I will not take it for granted ever again!!

Not a nurse or anything but it sounds like you're doing all you can. There is a risk to upsetting the natural balance of the self cleaning process so I would just leave it to heal on its own accord and aired as much as possible.

Ouchmy · 17/01/2022 14:29

@Crumbs22 that’s what I’m worried about! Is there anything I can take to help the natural balance??

Inthesameboatatmo · 17/01/2022 16:17

See if you can get some medical manuka honey. That worked on a wound I had when nothing else did

Crumbs22 · 17/01/2022 16:59

I think it's literally just to leave it alone and use plain water to wash. Hope you'll be all healed soon!

Ouchmy · 17/01/2022 19:08

@Inthesameboatatmo sticky pants! Didn’t know you could get medical honey…

Can’t believe I have got sodding piles as well. For no reason at all!!

@TangoWhiskyAlphaTango

I slap Sudocrem on anything sore and it seems to work on most occasions.
We do this. Except we call it butt cream. Grin
Inthesameboatatmo · 17/01/2022 19:15

@ouchmy. Ask the pharmacy they might have it. It really is good imo.
Poor you though with the piles.
Hope it all clears up soon

Ouchmy · 17/01/2022 19:18

My dc call it butt cream Grin

I’ll try the pharmacy. I have some germaloids coming tomorrow, that better work!!! Can’t believe i have to deal with that too.

I was prescribed medihoney barrier cream to protect my sore vulva (so sore it was bleeding) after weeks of trying so many things. It really helped and you should be able to buy it from a pharmacy. www.amazon.co.uk/Medihoney-Derma-Cream-50g/dp/B003CHEZ8G/?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Ouchmy · 17/01/2022 19:44

Thanks @MrsPnut, do you know if it is safe for more internal?? The sore I have got is just at the entrance!

gluenotsoup · 17/01/2022 19:47

Have you tried a thick layer of bepanthen, the nappy ointment, covered by a thick layer of Vaseline? It was my go-to for sore bums when the kids were little and works miracles. It’s less drying and dragging then Metanium or sudocrem. 🍷💐
