Breathless lying down could be silent reflux

Innocenta · 19/11/2021 10:28

How are you doing today, OP? Thanks

Welshandpro · 19/11/2021 15:15

@Innocenta hi I'm in more pain which is getting worse it feels a bit like early labour pains

I'm so sorry, @Welshandpro Sad Would you consider going back to A&E? It sounds like you're suffering so much, and sometimes a new pair of eyes can really help.

Welshandpro · 19/11/2021 17:30

@Innocenta I waited 7 hours in a and e on Monday .. but I will admit the pain is more severe .. so may phone gp out of hours later

Please call the GP! You deserve to be helped.

IncessantNameChanger · 19/11/2021 18:51

I feel so awful for your OP. Being in pain and discomfort is awful. You've been completely let down to have to push to be seen and then have to wait

MissSmiley · 21/11/2021 23:10

@Welshandpro I just can't believe your GP isn't taking this more seriously, when my friend presented like this she say GP Monday morning, was having a scan the next day, fluid drained in hospital within hours and a diagnosis by the end of the week, I'm so worried about you :-(

BruiserWoods · 22/11/2021 09:50

A full week to go still?

I dont mean to be annoying here but was there q facility to put yrslf down to go sooner if anybody before you cancelled?

You must be so sick of not knowing.

Welshandpro · 22/11/2021 10:16

@BruiserWoods yes still one week to go until my scan .. I have put myself down on the cancellations list but nothing yet .. just called gp to call me back to see if they can give me anything for the pain .. they said they will call me the afternoon

@Welshandpro
Apologies, forgot to reply!
It showed up as a large abdominal mass on the MRI scan. An ultrasound confirmed it was attached to an overy, I also had a smaller cyst on my other one.
I honestly had no other symptoms apart from my large stomach which I put down to being fat (I was/am very overweight generally)
I had back pain which was put down to sciatica.
Unfortunately the surgery has left me with permanent muscle damage and I'm in constant pain

Welshandpro · 22/11/2021 13:25

Hi all - I've just got off the phone to the gp and has prescribed stronger pain killers .. he said the CRP levels last week were ok ( no infection ) .. does anyone know If ovaries / fibroids cysts etc show infection in the blood ? He said it might be IBS but I've got no problems in the toilet dept ? He said just wait for scan on Monday

that's what I thought about IBS a lot people said gp says it is and changes their mind ... plus I have no change in toilet habits .. the pain is getting worse each day and now starting to feel sick .. Monday can't come quick enough

Sorry to hear you're still waiting OP. I hope you get some answers on Monday.

OhForGoodnessSake1 · 23/11/2021 21:59

Sorry jumping in the thread late. It does sound quite like what I had with fibroids. Definitely issues with bladder control due to the weight, I was measuring 5 months pregnant when they sent me for a scan, and yes, had pelvic pain. Hope your scan gives you the answers quickly.
