Period Problems After Covid-19 Vaccines?

W3STY17 · 11/10/2021 23:05

I know this seems to be quite common but I wanted to ask on here.

Has anyone had problems with their periods since having the covid vaccines?
If yes what problems have you had?

My periods have disappeared, LMP was 23/06/21.
I have PCOS but that's all the doctors seem to put it down to.

This isn't normal for me even with the PCOS, which I've been diagnosed for a number of years.

I have done endless pregnancy tests. Every time I speak with the doctors this is what they ask me to do? But always negative.

I've been experiencing bad stomach cramping since august.

I feel like I'm being fobbed off by the doctors.
No one seems to want to help me.

I'm booked into see a gynaecologist late November.

Is it dangerous to skip this many periods?
What'll happen when I do get a period, will it be even heavier than I normally experience?

Please be kind - I've had a bit of hate on here before & it makes me nervous to write a thread..

This post is originally mine but it's under my old username as I had to change it!

@BreatheFocusRelax thank you so much for the response. I'm so sorry...I was hoping it would have improved. I also regret getting it. Stay strong and don't give up...I'm determined to heal.

@sleeplessonfriday
I am also determined to heal.
If only I knew then what I know now.
Hopefully in time, there will be some more information that becomes available..
Sending you lots of love.

@BreatheFocusRelax I so agree. I should have listened to my gut. Hugs to you.

I know it sounds kind of "woo woo" at first, but if you're interested in the integrative medical route, I've been trying a protocol similar to the one described in this interview:

www.drkarafitzgerald.com/2023/04/15/addressing-long-covid-data-driven-learning-model-for-practitioners-and-patients/

I've also focused on rebuilding my gut with a nutritionist. I had a GI Map done and it's a mess.

I responded early on in the thread. My periods were haywire for about nine months after the jab. They have gone back to normal now though. Very predictable, 28 day cycle.

Great to hear @GiveYourHeadAWobble! That's encouraging!

My hormones are unfortunately also haywire now (menopause level), but I hang on to hope that if it was actually the vaccine, I can surely regulate them and heal whatever damage was done.
