Just that really, is this usual for anyone else?

2 months this has been happening, sometimes shorter ones sometimes longer.

Could round worm be it Op?

Dianetheartist · 13/08/2020 00:15

how come its got a shadow? What have you got it in?

Monday55 · 13/08/2020 00:39

I was going to suggest if was your husbands foreskin that's shedding inside you Grin then I read your last update.

Marmaladesandwiches27 · 13/08/2020 00:46

For anyone thinking worm, it's definitely not a worm, roundworms are smooth and even all along, tapeworms are flat and segmented.

OP, the trip to the GUM clinic is definitely worth it as the staff there know a lot more about women's gynae health than the average GP. They'll want to repeat previous investigations but should get you the answers you're looking for.

@Dianetheartist

It's on a glass surface, so the shadow is on the bottom surface of the glass.
AlmostAJillSandwich · 13/08/2020 00:57

I second getting a little sample pot and taking it for show and tell with the doc.

manicinsomniac · 13/08/2020 01:19

Allergy from the thrush cream maybe?? My sensible head says definitely put it in a pot and take it to the doctor if you can get a face to face appt. But I'd also find it really hard to do that - I can almost see why it was less awkward to post it here! Doctors have seen everything though, they won't be embarrassed even if you are.

Why. Why would you post a picture of vaginal discharge on to Mumsnet. What on earth would go through your mind to think “I’ve got mucus leaking from intimate areas. You know what, I won’t go to a doctor, instead, I’ll remove some, wipe it on to a glass table, take a photo and post it on to a chat forum with almost zero explanation of what it is”
Grin Grin Grin
I agree personally but some people really don't see intimate areas as any different or more embarrassing than any other part of the body. Maybe that's liberating!

MyShinyWhiteTeeth · 13/08/2020 01:42

It looks exactly like the stringy stuff I get midway thru my menstrual cycle combined with thrush medication.

Broken down parts of decidual casts can be similar looking but a different colour.

1forAll74 · 13/08/2020 01:45

Have you been to a hot tropical country lately ?

sweetieno · 13/08/2020 01:46

Fucking Christ. Some of you are really horrible, the OP asks for help and you treat her like this.

OP, I'm sorry if I missed it - have you been losing any weight at all?

Iwouldrathernot · 13/08/2020 01:56

Looks like discharge post ovulation. It can stick together, especially if there was a lot of it. I get that sometimes. If it doesn't itch etc I wouldn't worry

Iwouldrathernot · 13/08/2020 01:57

Some people here are so dramatic. It's just a discharge

Iwouldrathernot · 13/08/2020 02:00

Is it around the same time in your cycle? I'm sure it's just peri ovulation discharge, dont worry OP

TinkersTailor · 13/08/2020 02:10

Some right nasty bastards on here tonight, OP is clearly concerned and you're either taking the piss out of or berating her.
Sorry to say it but those crying about 'Levitating albino twiglet' are about as funny as the posters who quip 'snapped and farted?!' at any opportunity. Give it a rest.

OP, is it a stretchy, snot-type consistency? Does it smell? I have discharge like this throughout my cycle but it might only appear once or twice. Is it possible that your mirena is fucking with your cycle and causing the discharge?

InTropicalTrumpsLand · 13/08/2020 02:27

OP, I second putting it in a jar and taking it to a doctor. You can use alcohol to preserve it, 70% will be enough. I'm pretty sure saying "this came out of my vagina" will get you some swift investigation.

I hate to ask it, but has it ever moved?

BadTattoosAndSmellLikeBooze · 13/08/2020 02:44

Is it just normal discharge but in larger amounts and so is forming this shape? Have they checked your cervix for a cervical ectropion, that can cause huge amounts of discharge. Easily treated and nothing to worry about.

Hope you get it sorted.

TooTTootY · 13/08/2020 03:51

Gosh, what's the matter with some of you? Feeling sick? We've all seen a bit of discharge before I'm sure, hardly the end of the world. I thought us MNetters were made of tougher stuff than to cry over some vagina snot.

Anyway OP, I second take a sample to the GP.

hollyjolly1 · 13/08/2020 05:08

Maybe a crazy suggestion but can you get tested/treated for lyme disease? Can do all sorts to your body (wouldn't be surprised if discharge is related) and would explain the awful tiredness, nausea you have been experiencing. Also can be unlikely to be picked up by doctors. Hope you feel better soon.

Yeahnahmum · 13/08/2020 05:21

You want pickle it?
Pinklynx · 13/08/2020 08:20

I agree some people on here are pathetic. It's very worrying when you've repeatedly gone back to the GP, had loads of tests and they can't work out what's wrong.

I agree with a PP to check out systemic candida. If you eat a lot of sugar and yeast-based foods including alcohol and high carb foods like bread and potatoes you can get recurrent thrush and it won't be treated by standard thrush treatments. They can even make it worse (for example, antibiotics strip out the good bacteria in your gut).

I suggest you go on an anti-candida diet for a couple of weeks - basically no sugar, yeast (bread, cakes etc) and no mushrooms . Eat probiotics like keffir and probiotic yogurt. Start it gradually though as it can be a shock to your body to do it all at wants (candida die off).

Also as PP said your partner may be giving it back to you too, if he's got it as it can be symptomless in men.

Yes, sorry for taking the piss OP. Tbf it could have been anything but obviously you're worried. Soz
nicky7654 · 13/08/2020 10:05

Your GP needs to have the sample sent away for testing. Put it in a urine pot and insist it's analysed . Hope you get it sorted x

Tootsey11 · 13/08/2020 13:44

Well, managed to see Gp this morning, showed him the picture and said that it was normal for every woman to have discharge like that.

I feel truly sick and rotten. My stomach is killing me. I left surgery with nothing when Gp said I must be spraying perfume or using nasty soap to cause the burning and stinging. I'm only using water. I give up.
