Just that really, is this usual for anyone else?

2 months this has been happening, sometimes shorter ones sometimes longer.

OP posts:
Choccylips · 12/08/2020 22:11

Its Candida.

fuckingcovid · 12/08/2020 22:11

I think OP needs to go back to the drawing board and restart this thread!

Gazelda · 12/08/2020 22:12

Def looks like loo roll. And def isn't 'normal'

Didkdt · 12/08/2020 22:17

Have you been to the GUM clinic? I'd take one in a plastic container and see if they can help.
But if you are worried about STIs it's worth being checked out anyway.

Tootsey11 · 12/08/2020 22:18

A person does not pass loo roll from their fanjo. I've had 4 tablets for candida and used 3 tubes of cream. Still there.

I'm pretty sure Ovex doesn't kill tapeworms, OP. So if they are worms, they look like the kinds of worms that sneer at OTC medication.

JeSuisPoulet · 12/08/2020 22:21

I think a friend of mine had this same thing years and years ago - I remember her making me look in the loo bowl when we were out. She had BV and thrush IIRC and if it makes you feel any better at all OP her's was about 3x the length! If you've been to a gum clinic though they would hopefully have addressed all of that? Maybe the cream isn't enough for the thrush? Or maybe try BV treatment as well? Hope you get it sorted. My friend is fine btw and has had 2 babies since so no long term damage Smile

Tootsey11 · 12/08/2020 22:22

@Didkdt no, nearest GUM clinic is miles from me. It looks like a day off work and make the trip.

I presumed doctor would have been able to diagnose with swab test, but everything comes back clear.

PrincessForADay · 12/08/2020 22:24

Agree GUM clinic

Tootsey11 · 12/08/2020 22:28

BV test clear done at home and by doctor.
Thrush test clear done by doctor.
Urine tests clear.
Doctor gave me treatment for thrush and BV anyway in case results were wrong.
Still the same.
I've taken more medication and used more creams and I'm still the same, and feel rotten.

Thankyou to the helpful comments.

OP posts:
DuckbilledSplatterPuff · 12/08/2020 22:29

No one here can really help. Tell GP. get a urine test.
just a thought, if you are concerned about discharge and are using llots of loo roll, could that be remains of excess loo roll you've been using to mop up the area?

Viviennemary · 12/08/2020 22:29

Animal vegetable or mineral

backseatcookers · 12/08/2020 22:31

Hard to get an idea from the pic, is it sort of mucusy texture? Rather than rigid?

peanutsandpinenuts · 12/08/2020 22:31
Shock
Viviennemary · 12/08/2020 22:31

Didn't read threadBlush you need to see your GP without delay.

Spinakker · 12/08/2020 22:37

That's gross. Why post on here. You should have contacted a doctor and sent them the pic.

LillianBland · 12/08/2020 22:37

Has your sexual partner been treated at the same time? Many years ago I used to get recurrent thrush and finally my new doctor said that my husband should also take the oral tablet for thrush, as he was possibly asymptotic but giving it back to me. It worked.

Gogogadgetarms · 12/08/2020 22:39

My family do my head in but this is something else.

AbsolutWitch · 12/08/2020 22:40

How long have you had your mirena in for? They can sometimes cause strange issues like this

goingtotown · 12/08/2020 22:44

Go to your GP not here.

jessstan2 · 12/08/2020 22:44

@jessstan2

This from Healthline:

"Why is my discharge clumpy and stringy?
If you're experiencing a thick, white discharge that can be described as clumpy or clotted, you may be experiencing discharge from a yeast infection. Your vagina does a wonderful job of maintaining the pH balance of an entire spectrum of bacteria and fungi that live in it."

You need to make sure your vagina has the correct pH balance. There's a lot you can do to help that.

@Tootsey11 in what other ways do you feel ill? What other symptoms are you having?

MN may not be able to diagnose discharge and medical issues but with a list of symptoms someone’s bound to have experienced similar and able to point you in the right direction?

Wibblewobble99 · 12/08/2020 22:45

When was the last time you took anything or used any cream? Maybe don’t use anything for a couple of weeks - I’m wondering if your family (Wink) has had enough of repeated treatments and this is its way of trying to tell you? You say you’re unwell, what are your other symptoms?

agonyauntie2020 · 12/08/2020 22:45

My bet (I am not a doctor):

(a) I suspect it's over-treatment of thrush, and it's long/stringy bits of the 3 tubes of cream making their way out after "processing" in your fanjo - in what time frame have you used 3 tubes?

(b) About the itching, burning and pain, which is why you keep being diagnosed with thrush and you think it's not going away is this on the outside or inside? Can you google Lichen Sclerosis which is often confused with thrush and BV just in case (this is if the itching/burning is on the outside)? This misdiagnosis is more common than most GPs realize.

If I were you I'd make the round trip for a gynecologist referral because you really want a proper diagnosis so your fanjo is comfortable and this stuff stops coming out.

Sorry OP. I really feel for you but I will also say the first page of comments/responses made me laugh so hard I forgot my shitty day.

Despite all the posters saying STD check I really think it's the thrush-cream coming out, I am not aware of any STD with those symptoms and no-one has posted that?

VeganCow · 12/08/2020 22:51

Why did you need a mirror to apply thrush cream?
