Right thought I should put up a new thread as we were getting close to filling up the old one!

Useful Notes and Links:

HD = Hairy Dieter's Recipe Book. Circa £7.00 on Amazon and full of yummy low WW point recipes

We share our yummy low point recipes on this thread

We track our losses weekly on this online spread sheet

The spread sheet also has a tab containing all the WW points for every single recipe in the HD book, courtesy of the lovely OhTheConfusion (for working them out) and AddictedtoCrunchies (for having the foresight to paste them in the spread sheet)

Here's to another thread of amazing losses ladies!!

*write off!! Jeez all this chocolate is affecting my brain!

OhTheConfusion · 14/04/2013 10:49

My scales have packed in! I went to serve up dinner last night and they wouldn't work, I tried new batteries and still noting Sad. Salter do a 15yr guarantee... and I can't find the blooming argos receipt!

The weather is horrid so I don't fancy going into town today so I am going to attempt my first filling and healthy day to keep on track until tomorrow. WI is on Tue morning and I still have 20 weeklies and I have not touched any of my activity points so I think it should be fine.

Well done Jazz, I may try the pizza tip Wink.

Poorpaws get on that treadmill! I am about to do the first day of the shread Confused... if I don't return you know it has beaten me!

Well done BigTilly... won't be long until you will need to namechange Wink.

Rudy, it happens to us all. Clean slate and start over... I have treated this week like a new member, I have tracked (even the naughty things), pointed (even the things I thought I knew), weighed and exercised. I saw a dress I liked yesterday and want it in a 12 for summer!

Metro... does the hotel have a pool or gym? I ate indian takeaway last week and felt terrible afterwards Sad. I think we are all fast discovering that it's us who love the naughty treats but our bodies seem to like the WW stuff better!

bigTillyMint · 14/04/2013 10:59

OTC, I chose bigTillyMint as TillyMint was already taken and it was all I could think of at the timeBlush

I am going to try to follow your example and track everything...

OhTheConfusion · 14/04/2013 11:13

You could be littleTillyMint soon!

Really? That's encouraging. DH's favourite meal is lasagne which I make using lean mince but with loads of thick homemade cheese sauce. Have looked at doing the HD one but the layers of leek put me off. Might pluck up the courage to do it next weekend.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 14/04/2013 19:45

Well I'm back from my netball weekend away. Had a great time but ate and drank too much so back on it.
Metro - you and I both weigh on a Saturday so we have five days to pull it back Smile

Very pleased I added the post about my treadmill because there was no way I was going on it today until I thought that someone on here might ask me. I only did 15 mins because I'd done a long (for me) dog walk, so I am exceptionally pleased with myself. I don't think I've ever used it two days running. Made 4 activity points today and for someone with moving difficulties thats fantastic.

Keep up the good work everyone and we'll see if we can all get a weight loss this week. Thank you all for your support. The pedometer is still firmly fixed to my waistband.

OhTheConfusion · 15/04/2013 00:40

Well done Poorpaws!

flatmouse · 15/04/2013 08:27

Morning all! WI this morning has me lost another 2.2lbs, so i've gone past the 10% now and new goal is set (new goal will take me to dead on 2 stone lost - in another 6 and a bit lbs).

I had to buy new jeans last week (similar reason, old ones falling off) but have bought same size as old ones and they are snug. I think previously i had over-stretched the old ones, whereas these still feel "just washed" after a few wears - so i figure i'm not over-stretching them! (Makes sense to me anyway!) Having serious belt issues though - have small belt on newly made hole and it's still too big! (Whoop!)

Tried this WW recipe on Friday night - it was delicious. A few changes i'd make - chop tomatoes smaller and use parma ham instead of bacon. I did add sliced garlic to tomatoes and red onion and squeezed the lemon juice (from zested lemon) over the top.

I'm now starting week 14, and i say again (as i say most weeks), i really must exercise more. I want to get back shredding and start running again. Just can't seem to get out of bed (6am ish is the optimum time for me to shred it seems).

Keep going everyone!

SallyBear · 15/04/2013 10:12

Good morning everyone. I am back, and being positive about losing weight.

The kids are back to school and I woke up this morning and jumped on the scales. I have stayed the same, so I am beginning the summer term on a positive note - the weather is warming up, the sun is shining and I really don't want to be too lardy on the beach this year.

I have a new oven arriving today (quite excited!), so I plan on making some scrumptious but healthy dinners. Back on the Filling & Healthy plan today. Scrambled eggs on Nimble toast. Very nice indeed. Smile

AddictedtoCrunchies · 15/04/2013 11:08

Welcome back Sally we've missed you.

Poorpaws I'm doing wk3 of C25K with my friend tonight before netball training and our total time is 18 mins of run/walk. Match us on your treadmill and let me know how you get on later??

Flatmouse you're doing so well and an inspiration to us all. Keep on going!! I actually wore a size 14 netball dress yesterday and didn't look too bad in it so am very happy.

Need to lose a pound this week to get the first stone. Smile

fledtoscotland · 15/04/2013 13:20

I'm back! School hols over and I'm in the zone Smile

Ran this morning and despite a shaky start I managed to keep going for 10 mins before my breathing and legs collapsed. Not bad since I haven't been out since October! Aiming to run 3 times a week

Food wise I'm feeling focused and generally ready to loose that 1.5lbs to make it to 2st loss.

I'm so sick of being fat Angry

OhTheConfusion · 15/04/2013 16:13

Well done Flatmouse... fab loss and well done Fledto, 10min is a great start!

Welcome back Sally, hope the cooker has arrived.

You can do it Crunchie!!!

I did a 12K walk this morning in the rain. WI tomorrow so only a 6 day week this week (as WI was last Wed). Really hope to see a loss after last weeks gain Blush.

bigTillyMint · 15/04/2013 17:44

Well done all you exercisers!

My legs are still stiff after 2 gym visits (after nothing for 3 weeks) and I'm supposed to be doing circuit training tomorrowShock

jazzcat28 · 15/04/2013 18:21

Welcome back sally Smile

All you lot getting exercise are making me feel like a slacker! must up TTC efforts this month to boost exercise

AddictedtoCrunchies · 15/04/2013 18:50

jazz shag ooonnnn Grin

SallyBear · 15/04/2013 19:18

Well I haven't eaten dinner yet as the cooker wasn't ready to use. You have to run it on hot for 90mins to burn off the factory smells. It's soooooooo quiet! It makes me realise how noisy the old one was. The old range is on eBay -£255 so far with one day left to run.

So my plan tomorrow is to restock on F&H foods and give it a bloody good go! Good job DH likes brown rice!

poorpaws · 15/04/2013 22:26

Well done Flatmouse,

Addicted, I tried but failed. I did 16 minutes on treadmill walking quickly then slowly (cant manage running) and was exhausted. I'm still delighted though cos thats three consecutive days using it, thats a record. Hope you did well.

Having quite a good week but hungry tonight.

Sally I can't do filling and healthy, it doesn't work for me so I hope it goes well for you.

Who's got a wi tomorrow? Good luck.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 16/04/2013 09:32

paws 16 minutes is excellent so well done you. You haven't 'failed'. Just have another go later Smile

jazzcat28 · 16/04/2013 11:15

poorpaws if you did 16minutes of exercise sufficient to get your heart rate up and lose your breath then you are burning calories! I reckon if you did that 5 times a week you'd be surprised how much your stamina increases

Of course I'm not really an expert on fitness but do know that doing exercise little and offen is better than sitting doing nothing!

Had my bacon and butternut squash risotto for dinner last night - great with salad and only 6pp so had some garlic bread at 7pp and felt v satisfied. Tonight I'm having lean rump steak with ratatouille. Might blow some weeklies on some oven chips.

Am giving up booze now that TTC is official so that should allow me more weeklies for puddings which is my major downfall

Would like to get my BMI below 30 before pregnancy so I'm not classed as high risk. I reckon another half a stone should do it but would like to get further if I can.

fledtoscotland · 16/04/2013 11:38

I'm dying Confused. Running again today but its so windy that running into it was near-on impossible. Felt like I had to run at a 45 degree angle. Only managed an 8min run plus a 5 min plus walking (total of 3miles). Rest day tomorrow. Then have a funeral Thursday lunchtime but might try to sneak out after the school run to clear my head.

WI tomorrow morning so I'm hoping to loose 1.5lbs and get to the 2st mark. Everyone else here is so positive it's rubbing off on me Smile

onthemetro · 16/04/2013 12:24

Thanks for the support everyone, that's why I love this thread Grin
The hotel didn't have a pool or a gym, and we didn't really walk much either so the exercise for the long weekend equalled zilch, despite the fact that we should've done the first day of week 3 of C25k... Just couldn't face it with a hangover!

Got back yesterday and ended up with a McDonalds AND a Dominos, I am so ashamed but it was quick n easy and we didn't have anything in Sad

Oh well, back on it today and I'm really trying to sorta detox, though I feel like 'detoxing' is a bit of a con thought up by the dieting industry!

So far today I've had two cups of green tea with lemon, 30g Special K almond & honey and I've just made a huge batch of tomato and basil soup to take to uni with me. My body is still feeling a bit iffy after all I ate over the weekend but on the whole I feel much better. Going to exercise lots too Smile

Crunchie, we'll be fine Grin Saturday seems like a long time away, enough time to do some damage limitation anyway!

Well done on the losses flatmouse

And welcome back sally, so glad to see your name pop up here!
Fled that's a great start considering you haven't been out since Oct, I'm on week 3 of c25k and running for 3 minutes straight seems daunting!

Glad to hear everyone's exercising, that's going to be my goal from now on.

onthemetro · 16/04/2013 12:25

Oops flatmouse that should've been loss not losses!
