Right thought I should put up a new thread as we were getting close to filling up the old one!

Useful Notes and Links:

HD = Hairy Dieter's Recipe Book. Circa £7.00 on Amazon and full of yummy low WW point recipes

We share our yummy low point recipes on this thread

We track our losses weekly on this online spread sheet

The spread sheet also has a tab containing all the WW points for every single recipe in the HD book, courtesy of the lovely OhTheConfusion (for working them out) and AddictedtoCrunchies (for having the foresight to paste them in the spread sheet)

Here's to another thread of amazing losses ladies!!

Hi just checking in am down to 10 stone 1lb (from 11 stone 4 lbs) and am the lightest I have been in years. Still finding it hard on 26pp but accept its mainly through some ridiculous choices! Am exercising four times a week which is definitely helping. Had a couple of weeks where I have sts but mostly losing between 1-2lbs a week. Goal is 9 stone so about half way. Hope every-one is getting on ok x

flatmouse · 06/08/2013 10:20

Yooohoo! I'm still here! Very very slow weight loss at the moment - but it is still a loss :) Total weight loss so far 31lbs. Find it quite amusing how we're all in different sizes at similar weights - for example, v jealous of right's size 12 jeans - i weigh slightly less and a size 14 is still a little snug.
Exercise needs kicking into gear again, have really sloped off that lately. Think i should start shredding again and running again (although nervous of calf). However am off on hols for 2 weeks on Saturday, so will be missing the next 2 weigh ins. Think my aim is to not put on as opposed to loosing more during that period. I shall keep pointing though.

karinmaria · 06/08/2013 10:49

Hearing about successful weight loss is a good motivator - and a big well done too Smile

I'm also on 26pp per day which I've been getting used to. Feeling grateful I can snack on fruit and veg as I'd probably not get through the day otherwise!

Well done right - my third stone is taking forever too!

Poppylovescheese · 07/08/2013 15:41

Thanks! You will get there, it may seems slow at times but 3 stone is amazing!!

pollywollydoodle · 07/08/2013 23:49

slouches onto the thread carrying 2 extra lbs of lard and spoils the joyous losing mood

i need a good week this
week. the fridge is full of fruit n veg and there's no chocolate around

well done losers!

Darkesteyes · 08/08/2013 23:32

Well done all. Not long til i start ww class now Next Weds so 5 days to go. Bit nervous about finding out what i weigh but at least going to class means im doing something about it.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 09/08/2013 11:27

Well done all. I've decided I'm going to change tack and start going to a class from September. Not a stay class but a weigh and go one. Then I'll know I'm being weighed at a certain time each week which will hopefully keep me motivated.

I've lost 20lbs so far and gone from a tight 18 to a comfortable 16. I'm 13st 5 but 5' 11" so looking quite good on it (even if I do say so myself).

First half marathon is two weeks tomorrow so have my last long run this Sunday - 12 miles. Eek!

TheTempest · 14/08/2013 12:33

I lost 1.2kg last week Smile I was on holiday too and didn't point so really chuffed. I was camping with my sister though who has lost about 4 stone in a year with a baby in the middle, so inspiration and good food choices at the same time. Hope everyone is well and having a good weight loss week Grin

Darkesteyes · 14/08/2013 21:24

Well i started WW this evening and i weigh more than i thought 16 stone 8 pounds. I just cant afford to buy deluxe starter packs and loads of paraphernalia but i did buy a pro points calculator and am struggling with it i worked out ribena immunity support is 0 points but i tried to work out a mullerlight yoghurt and because the ingredients are based on 100 grams and the portion is 165 grams i just cant make the adjustment in my head to work out the differences in carbs protein etc. My mathematical ability just isnt up to it It shouudnt have to be this hard surely.

BoffinMum · 14/08/2013 22:04

Hello everyone. I have just signed up to the online thing, at the suggestion of my GP, but one thing that baffles me is that there doesn't seem to be a systematic way of learning about the Pro Points plan from the website. You have to type in random foods and look them up, apparently. Am I doing something wrong?

Poppylovescheese · 15/08/2013 08:24

Hi
You can use the calculator to work out pro points by typing in the amounts of protein/carbs etc. It is on the same page as where you look up foods but lower down. HTH

BoffinMum · 15/08/2013 08:30

Thanks - had a go with that and it seemed to work. My special shakes seem to have 6 points if I make them up with skimmed milk.

BoffinMum · 15/08/2013 08:31

Out of interest, do you actually need to buy the starter packs and so on?

littlewhitebag · 15/08/2013 23:04

Hello folks. Came back my holidays today so starting back on ww tomorrow. Last year I lost 2 st but i suspect almost a stone has crept back on. I need to get back on top of things again. I will hang around here for support and motivation.

pollywollydoodle · 16/08/2013 00:48

boffinmum no you don't need to really. if you are on monthly pass just use e source, it has a tracker, calculator and pointed food list including some eating out values.
i did find the scales useful as i cook a lot from scratch and you can point recipes as you add ingredients/point pasta etc as you put it on your plate. they are expensive though

pollywollydoodle · 16/08/2013 00:52

darkest just fill in the values given per 100g then at the end divide by 100 to get 1g worth then multiply it by the number of grams you had to get your pp for your portion

BoffinMum · 16/08/2013 07:43

I have ordered the scales. My GP said that if you don't get bored weighing things you are not doing it right. (She has been v v supportive).

TheTempest · 16/08/2013 13:46

Ian having a super hungry day today :( have pointed lunch and dinner and have 4 left.. I still have all my weeklies left. So so tempted toward everything in sight! What does everyone else do on days like this?

I have standard scales and weigh everything and input it on the app. I'm doing it online and seems to be working ok, apart from today!

LayMizzRarb · 16/08/2013 18:29

Some people haves allowance of 26 pp per day???
Mine is 42 (doing WW online)
Does the allowance drop with every stone?

STIDW · 16/08/2013 18:39

The heavier you are the more calories you burn moving around and doing exercise so you need to eat more. Once the weight starts dropping of the pps decrease (but not every stone) until eventually they are down to 26. Also the lighter you are the less calories you burn so the activity points decrease too.

It's a long time since I looked in. I'm still losing 2lbs a week so I have no lost a total of 4st 6lbs since the thread began in January. Just another 8lbs and my BMI will be at a healthy level!

STIDW · 16/08/2013 20:15

PS Has anyone seen the new Hairy Bikers' recipe book? The pancake recipe looks amazing!

LayMizzRarb · 16/08/2013 22:02

Thanks for the reply! This is the first time I have tried the WW points system. Have tried every other diet on the planet, and I am actually really into counting points, entering them on my phone and enjoying making sensible choices. I hope it is more than the novelty of a new diet, and I really think I can lose weight this way.
I'm doing WW online, and have lost 9lb so far. Have more than half my body weight to lose , so obs that's why I have a lot of points!
