Right thought I should put up a new thread as we were getting close to filling up the old one!

Useful Notes and Links:

HD = Hairy Dieter's Recipe Book. Circa £7.00 on Amazon and full of yummy low WW point recipes

We share our yummy low point recipes on this thread

We track our losses weekly on this online spread sheet

The spread sheet also has a tab containing all the WW points for every single recipe in the HD book, courtesy of the lovely OhTheConfusion (for working them out) and AddictedtoCrunchies (for having the foresight to paste them in the spread sheet)

Here's to another thread of amazing losses ladies!!

definitely...and if not, it would be medicinalGrin
Have had a sociable weekend and now i reckon i have 1 weekly left until weds...good job it's salad weather and there's loads of lovely fruit around

INeedThatForkOff · 22/07/2013 11:22

Ok so my weekend was 'sociable' too. Think I'll make today my start day. I've tracked everything I plan to eat on my tracker (love the iPhone version of the app, much better than Android). Pilates later.

Ready to go!

INeedThatForkOff · 22/07/2013 11:23

Ps crunchies, I'll definitely be joining you with the running.

Poppylovescheese · 22/07/2013 15:53

Just checking in, I started the last week in May and have lost a stone since then which I am very pleased about. Just a quick question though, I am still eating all my weeklies and some of my activity points and now I have a further stone to go to goal I am worried that I wont lose enough unless I cut back. Any-one have any experience if this? I still feel quite hungry on 26 pp !

flatmouse · 23/07/2013 10:40

WI yesterday - had lost a huge 1/2lb again - but that means that WOOHOOO FANFARE TRUMPETS (41) GUN SALUTE, my weight now starts with an 11 - for the first time in errrr probably > 15 yrs.

I do feel i've been a little lax lately - although i am pointing everything - but with so much going on, activity points have been minimal and Winelies have been maxed out! (That will explain why the last couple of lbs lost have taken so long!).

Really do need to re-focus to zoom down to a low 11. Poppy i've lost just over 2stone since January - i want to loose another stone - i still use most of my weeklies, although i don't usually use my activity points (I do if i need to!). I certainly don't feel hungry though - perhaps you need to be eating more filling low-point foods instead of not-so-filling high point foods? eg for a risotto now i only use 30g rice per person, but with all the veg in there it is still very very filling.

Crunchie you're doing great with your training - especially in this weather!! Make sure you keep your fluids up. Any day now I'm going to stop sulking about my calf, pull up my (compression) socks and get back out there!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 23/07/2013 18:27

Well done Flatmouse Grin Grin

Thanks flatmouse I think you are right, I need to look for some more filling recipes! The rissotto sounds lovely and i probably do need to fill up more on veg x

GoingVerySlowlyMad · 23/07/2013 21:57

Hello everyone, can I join you? I weighed myself on Saturday and came in at 13st 11. I'm so ashamed, I joined WW straight away. I'm now on day 4 and actually enjoying it. My DH is doing it with me for moral support, he has 20lbs to lose, I want to initially get down to 11st 6 and I'll see where I go from there!

pollywollydoodle · 24/07/2013 15:10

sts, at goal plus 2.5lb...can't complain...had 51 weeklies plus was a lazy mareWink

jazzcat28 · 24/07/2013 15:45

Just popping my head in to say hi and offer a big kick up the backside for anyone that needs it Grin

I am now 9+6 and had my first midwife appt today who classed me as.... LOW RISK due to a low BMI! I have never ever EVER been classed as low risk with a 'normal' weight and I know it's down to losing the 2st 1lb earlier in the year via WW and this thread so thank you ladies Smile

I've put on a grand total of 3lb since my BFP on Father's Day, despite completely falling off the healthy eating wagon! I reckon it's all down to good habits developed whilst doing WW. I'm still having porridge and skimmed milk for breakfast and eating a lot of fruit. Not going too heavy on the carbs but I have to say I have a real sweet tooth and am getting through cakes and biscuits like no tomorrow.

I'll keep checking back in and keep you informed - I will definitely be back on WW come Spring 2014 to shed baby weight so in the nicest possible way, I hope I don't see many of you then as you will all be skinny minnies before Christmas I'm sure!

Take care Flowers

Hi jazz, so pleased you popped in and lovely to hear from you. Keep us informed and as soon as you've decided on a name I WANT TO KNOW.

Well done everyone on her

Darkesteyes · 25/07/2013 00:47

Hi. Im thinking of doing WW I lost 10 stone in 2002/03 at Slimming World on the Green plan but what worked when i was 29 wont work at 40 Ive tried. Got about 4 stone to lose this time Tried dieting on my own and went very hungry living on Weetabix fish and veg and apples.
Will WW work for me.
How much will it cost (will it shoot my shopping bill up)
I know it involves cutting portion sizes will i be really hungry.
When i was dieting on my own i was really hungry and got occasional but terrible diarheoa.
I want to start in the next couple of weeks so i look halfway decent at Christmas. Thanks.

Darkesteyes · 25/07/2013 00:49

I was thinking of doing Cambridge and posted on there a couple of weeks ago but i dont think i could cope with that. My mum did it 23 years ago and lost some of her hair.

Darkesteyes · 25/07/2013 00:57

I also want to decide what weight i want to be I dont want somebody else to decide it for me. AT SW another member was constantly telling me what weight i should be. And the target i originally chose i just couldnt reach. Even though i lost ten stone according to SW i was 3 pounds short and i nearly ended up with an eating disorder struggling to meet the fucking target.
I have some resentment towards SW for this and i tried their Extra Easy a couple of years ago and it was anything but easy A lot of faffing about and trial and error.
So ive decided on WW but with a bit of trepidation due to past experiences.

Cappster · 25/07/2013 09:59

Hi I am back I have been terribly bad

I have the Hairy Bikers cookbook out of the library but I also have some Baileys in the fridge

I am a woman at a crossroads

Sad
AddictedtoCrunchies · 25/07/2013 12:22

Cappster you know which way to turn... Grin

Darkest - WW is simply about eating less and making better choices. It shouldn't cost more as you will be buying simpler food ie not as processed. Which should end up cheaper. It's worked for me and many others on here but it doesn't suit everyone. I joined online as my life is pretty crazy and I don't get a chance to get to a class.

I wouldn't and couldn't have got this far without the support of this thread Smile

Darkesteyes · 25/07/2013 14:04

Thankyou Crunchies. my DH is addicted to those too.

pollywollydoodle · 25/07/2013 15:14

hi darkest, the focus is on getting away from mindless eating, making healthy choices (more fruit, veg, lean protein, complex carbs and less crap)concentrating while you eat, learning to identify when you are full enough. ...and doing these in a gradul way ie no starvation diets.

i can honestly say i've never been hungry though i have at times had to think about whether it's worth having something i just fancy

it's been no more expensive- though if you bought loads of ww ready meals porridge etc it could mount up

in the 18 months i've been going i've seen 4 women lose more than 100lbs and one much more than that!

pollywollydoodle · 25/07/2013 15:17

oh and goal weights came from a discussion. mine is the top end of the healthy bmi range hth

pollywollydoodle · 25/07/2013 15:20

oh and increasing activity is the other strand...typical of me to forget that Grin

Darkesteyes · 25/07/2013 22:13

Im about 15 stone 10 im guessing. I want to get down to 12 and a half stone At 12 and a half stone i am a size 12/14.
Its simply being realistic especially as 12 years ago i was 21 stone and a size 28.
Ive just looked at some old photos where i was 12 stone 7 and i have a very small waist and an hourglass figure. Its just at the mo i have too much sand lol. But i dont want people pressurising me to get down to a lower and lower weight. I actually considered sticking my fingers down my throat because of what happened at SW My weight would NOT go below 11 stone 3 no matter what i did and they let me struggle for weeks. I was a size bloody 12 at that point I want to choose my weight and if that leaves me on the cusp of the overweight part of the BMI so be it. As long as im out of the obese category i dont care.

Darkesteyes · 25/07/2013 22:15

IMO considering i have been 21 stone 12 and a half is good IMO for me.
And i would be able to maintain it.

pollywollydoodle · 25/07/2013 22:53

take your photo and talk to the leader but be prepared for them to tell you to focus on small goals instead
as i say my goal is at the top of healthy bmi and all those i know are the same, i don't know how flexible they are...you can of course stop when you like but you have to keep paying until you get to an agreed goal and stay within 5lb of it

pollywollydoodle · 25/07/2013 22:54

but yes,i think it would be fantasticSmile
