Right thought I should put up a new thread as we were getting close to filling up the old one!

Useful Notes and Links:

HD = Hairy Dieter's Recipe Book. Circa £7.00 on Amazon and full of yummy low WW point recipes

We share our yummy low point recipes on this thread

We track our losses weekly on this online spread sheet

The spread sheet also has a tab containing all the WW points for every single recipe in the HD book, courtesy of the lovely OhTheConfusion (for working them out) and AddictedtoCrunchies (for having the foresight to paste them in the spread sheet)

Here's to another thread of amazing losses ladies!!

WOW!
So i come on here all excited about having lost 1lb this week to make me bang on the nose 2 stone loss, and my thunder is well and truly stolen by Jazzcats amazing news :) SO pleased for you!

Crunchie - disappointing gain for you, but do you know why? (Always helps when you know why!) - time of month/bloated/big increase in exercise/lots of naughty food/alcohol? Glad you're back on track - and a speedy track at that! Well done on the PB for your 10km - you keep knocking them out the bag! :)

Had a bit of a Next disaster - needed some new work clothes desperately so put a big order in. Size 12 tops fit fine now, size 16 tailored trousers fall off, but size 14 tailored trousers are too tight :( I'm an inbetweener!

Tried HD Sweet and Sour Chicken on Friday - not something i'd normally go for - but it was delicious, really tasty with proper gloopy sauce (but not one that makes you dehydrated!) Definitely would recommend. Made a few adjustments - used fresh pineapple instead of tinned and reduced amount of oil used to bring it in at 6pp per portion - however the 4 portions were huge, so i would adjust the recipe to say it served 5 or 6 (bringing the pp per portion down further!).

So the app thinks i've lost 1stone 14lb (not 2stone!), have reset my goal now to 11 stone 8 (Don't like my goals to be too unrealistic). Thinking i'll have at least one more goal after that one.

Not started running again - after physio i did try a walk/run, but leg still cramping - so i'm giving it a longer break - still hula'ing though :) Must get Shred dvd back to start back on that.

Welcome newbies, and keep going everyone - we're doing great!

jazzcat28 · 17/06/2013 14:16

flatmouse don't do yourself down - 2 STONE is amazing! I remember how fantastic I felt when I hit that milestone - keep at it!

Hello, I've just read the thread and I am hoping to join?

I need help. I've been using ww for about 8 years (having kids in between). I've gained, lost and stayed the same for EVER! And I am properly fed up. I set my self up a spreadsheet of targets, inspiration and future 'looks' I'd like to pull off but I just don't believe in myself enough!!!! Angry

I am so cross and frustrated at myself. I hate being like this, I don't deserve this daily and hourly abuse I give myself.

What should I do?

I go to the gym, yoga, fruit, brown spagetti (all measured) veggies, water... you know, all things right!!! I like a drink, but I point everything... and if I forget, I work a little harder in the gym/yoga/cycling. I've got about 4st to loose and have lost about 12lbs on this last attempt.

I want to be healthy. In my mind and body, but sometimes it just goes to shit. Today, I had one of those Naked Antioxidant smoothies - believing the packaging blindly... one google and a check on the points showed me the error of my ways! GAH!

Sorry to come crashing in; I really am. I just need a bit of support and hand holding...

Sad x 100 what should I do??

AddictedtoCrunchies · 17/06/2013 21:33

Flatmouse two stone is fab and I'm exactly like you. Well almost. Work trousers in a 16 are too loose but the 14s are a bit snug especially round my bits so it's very uncomfortable by lunchtime Blush I bought some 'cigarette' pants in a 16 and they look surprisingly ok. Arse looks a bit like a couple of badgers fighting in a bin bag but not too bad. Better than a few months ago anyway.

Reason why I gained is because I got complacent. I thought the running would see me through. But I need to sort my intake too.

Running is going well. Have a half marathon on 24 August which is nine weeks on Saturday. Need to get my mileage up now.

The lovely Fled (the one with my size nine imprint on her behind) is posting me some trousers that she's grown out of now she's a slinky 14. So I'm excited about that as I only have a couple of pairs that fit.

Jazz have a biscuit or six for me. And make it a McVities plain chocolate digestive with a large Brew

Paws I'm glad you're back. I thought about you a lot over the weekend (in a concerned yet non stalkery way) hoping you'd managed to pick yourself up after your disappointing weigh in. Thanks Thanks

Welcome to the new ladies too. Remember the tortoise won the race. Move more and count points and you will get there. I highly recommend running to aid toning and weight loss. The NHS couch 2 5k plan is fab for beginners Grin

Sending thin vibes to all. And Thanks. to Jazz and mini-Jazz.

Welcome Peg, just stick with us and you'll get loads of motivation and good advice. (Not that much from me as I'm not doing too well but I WILL NOT GIVE IN). If you want a moan or a kick up the backside this is the place to be.

Slight change of plan on the lunches out but I should still be OK. Going to Nandos tomorrow and I WILL NOT EAT THEIR CARROT CAKE, I will NOT. (Will report back tomorrow night cos I love their carrot cake). Not sure where my friend and I are going on Wednesday but they had better serve salads where ever we choose.

Paws pause for thought ~ if you skip exercise today, it will be even easier to skip it tomorrow.

Lambzig · 18/06/2013 09:56

Jazz, I only just joined, but congratulations, that's so lovely for you.

Feeling desperately unmotivated today and fed up. I should focus on the fact that I have lost 16lbs in ten weeks, but all I can think about is how my post 2DC and 2CS stomach is still so flabby (I foolishly tried on a bikini this morning). I have about 10lbs to lose to hit my goal weight, but I really want to lose 2 lbs this week as I know I will be a weight that I feel okay at and I just can't see it happening.

Dragged myself through 30 day shred today and am contemplating taking DS to the cafe for a latte and a scone.

Woodenpeg · 18/06/2013 10:01

woke up feeling better this morning. I put too much pressure on myself, it's not healthy!

I am healthier, and I am making the right choices. I do drink too much. Exercise choice and not will power, that will be my focus...

I made a smoothie for breakfast, after my epic fail: small banana, small handful of raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. Coco Vita, Ice and a handful spinach. Good start. Grin

Feeling better knowing this thread is here. Onwards n downwards eh?

flatmouse · 18/06/2013 10:56

Lambzig - flabby belly? Don't we all Wink - how about trying Hula Hooping! I'm loving it (weighted hula).

Woodenpeg smoothie sounds divine - apart from the spinach! Really? how does that affect the flavour!

Woodenpeg · 18/06/2013 14:10

It really doesn't change the flavor ONE BIT. Promise. Honest. It's far to subtle for that. I put it in for the nutirents part only Grin the overiding flavor is the banana... try it. YUM.

Just had the fuller for longer chicken katsu curry (M&S) it was really nice. 11pts, but because of the 0 point smoothie I'm doing pretty well! About 40 minutes walking too.

Dinner though, whole other story. Will. Try. Not. To. Have. Wine.

Poppylovescheese · 18/06/2013 15:58

Hi guys can I join? I have been on WW for nearly four weeks and have lost half a stone and got my silver star! I have found it very hard going on 26pp but have taken up exercise too so am gaining activity points too. I have two stone to lose and am currently 10st 10lbs. I find I have to eat all of my weeklies to stop me being starving but have cut out alcohol so that should help!

Poppy

Neeko · 18/06/2013 20:47

Evening all. Had my wi today after missing last week due to dentist. Was pleasantly surprised to have lost 1.5lbs. Fingers crossed I won't put it on next week.

Welcome to the newbies. This thread is fab.

Jazz How are you feeling?

poorpaws · 18/06/2013 21:10

Well done Neeko that's a good loss.

So I went to Nando's today ... I had diet coke, chicken burger (10ppts) and chips (9ppts) and that was it, NO CAKE. I have to admit to a weak moment when I would have gobbled all the cake in the place but my daughter was full and didn't want cake so I relucantly told the waitress NO. I'm delighted now and feel very pleased with myself.

Unfortunately or fortunately whichever way you look at it, I have another meal out tomorrow (going to a place with loads of lovely tea shops which are my favourite eating places) so another problem day ppoint wise. Going out with a WW friend so at least we'll be watching the ppoints together.

Welcome newbies, we're getting quite a few new people at the mo, stick with us.
Good luck with the weight ins everyone.

Neeko · 18/06/2013 21:59

Congrats Poorpaws. Excellent self-esteem (though I want a chicken burger now lol). Fingers crossed for a healthy weight . Loss for you this week.

Woodenpeg · 19/06/2013 11:46

well done paws

I drank wine last night Sad it's my downfall everytime, I didn't drinks lots, but it's just the empty points that frustrate me... WHY???

flatmouse · 19/06/2013 13:56

Woodenpeg I personally don't think you should berate yourself for drinking wine - drink wine and ENJOY it - and point it. No point using points and not enjoying them! (The wine is where i use most of my weeklies!)

AddictedtoCrunchies · 19/06/2013 15:32

Well done Paws Thanks

I'm celebrating a small victory today. DS gone on a school trip and DS has gone too. Plan is to have fish cakes, chips and beans for tea. But I'm having fish cakes and salad. Still 14 pp but the salad is 0. And I'm running five miles tonight.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 19/06/2013 15:33

DH has gone too. Not DS twice Wink

Neeko · 19/06/2013 17:44

Excellent work Crunchie

Poorpaws I typed self-restraint, but auto-correct thought it knew better!

fledtoscotland · 19/06/2013 21:17

Go crunchie!!!!!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 19/06/2013 22:29

Managed five miles tonight and MAN was it hot! Got home to a lovely big fat parcel from the gorgeous Fled with lots of new clothes in so had a fashion parade for DH. Thank you so much Thanks Thanks I will post your parcel Friday with some bits I picked up for your DS.

The parcel went to my mum's and apparently she and the postman had a real giggle this morning as it was addressed to Addicted to Crunchies Grin She was very impressed when I said who it was from and said it was a "lovely thing to do". Bloody nest of vipers Wink

Night Jim Bob x

fledtoscotland · 19/06/2013 22:48

Glad you like them Smile crunchie.

Neeko · 20/06/2013 07:34

Aww! Love to hear of mnetters helping each other out. Well done you two!

Woodenpeg · 20/06/2013 15:59

Went out for a lovely long walk after work with the DCs and DH, rode my bike to work, then to the dentists, then back to work! I love it when I'm active. Makes everything feel so much more doable...

Out for lunch today. Good choices. No bread either! Not sure about tea. Usually a fatal error! However, I only have healthy things to choose from. YIPPEEEE.

poorpaws · 20/06/2013 23:31

So... after my last post I've had another two meals out. What a week!
One at my favourite Tea Shop where I wisely chose ham sandwiches but ruined it by following this with a Devon cream tea, I did point it (and it was divine).

Today I went to a new deli which my daughter found. Had warmed chicken, bacon and melted brie meditteranean salad (delicious) and followed it with coconut ice cream. Three fabulous lunches in three days. I won't be too happy tomorrow when I have salad which has been sitting in the fridge for days whilst I've been out.

I've tried to point everything fairly and I THINK I am within my weekly ppts so all should be well tomorrow at wi (fingers crossed). I've also been walking the dogs a lot.

Watch out Crunchie, you know what happens when you polish a halo here ~ put the Pledge away. Smile

Well done to everyone, doin great.
