Right thought I should put up a new thread as we were getting close to filling up the old one!

Useful Notes and Links:

HD = Hairy Dieter's Recipe Book. Circa £7.00 on Amazon and full of yummy low WW point recipes

We share our yummy low point recipes on this thread

We track our losses weekly on this online spread sheet

The spread sheet also has a tab containing all the WW points for every single recipe in the HD book, courtesy of the lovely OhTheConfusion (for working them out) and AddictedtoCrunchies (for having the foresight to paste them in the spread sheet)

Here's to another thread of amazing losses ladies!!

Is it still no points for fruit. I ate 400g of strawberries lol

jazzcat28 · 06/06/2013 19:29

Yes fruit is still free! But fruit juice isn't, surprisingly.

Thank god for that. Thought it had to be better then reaching for the jelly babies. Lol

Lambzig · 06/06/2013 20:42

I never ever use my weekly points, I am not sure I would lose anything if I added 7points a day, its slow enough already.

I had a sneaky mid week weigh in on Wednesday on day 3 of shredding and despite being very hardcore on the diet, I seem to have gained 3 lbs since Saturday. I am hoping this is a freakish side effect and it will even out by Saturday. Bit horrified. DD and DH ate a picnic tea this afternoon which included sausage rolls sausages, feta parcels, ice cream and Percy pigs. It was torture.

jazzcat28 · 06/06/2013 21:29

Lanbzig the weeklies are there to be eaten - don't ignore them in order to lose weight quicker. My leader says we need a bit of fat to kick start our bodies into shedding the weight (so we don't go into starvation mode where fat is conserved) also psychologically it's better to have a little of something nice within reason (I.e. your weeklies) so you don't have a binge every few weeks.

It works for me - the weeks I've lost the most I've used almost all my weeklies (33) on a mid week medium pizza from pizza hut!

It sounds bonkers but works!

Hello ladies, could I join you?

I've put on two stone in last five years. I have done ww a couple of times and had good success with it, but each time got derailed by some serious health probs. Meds made me gain, lost motivation, was too unwell to move much. Well, I have now ditched last of meds (three weeks ago) and rejoined ww two weeks ago. In two weeks, despite being very good, I only lost half a pound. But I have also started circuits twice a week and and still on track with food. So here's hoping Grin I have also given up meat and am trying to keep carbs to a minimum for health reasons, so hoping all this change might kick my arse into shape a bit!

flatmouse · 07/06/2013 09:12

ooooh Crunchie def need a pic - fabulous!!! That moment when you realise it fits :) Yey!!

Lambzig I tend to use half to 3/4 of my weekies - or winelies (that'll give you a clue what they tend to be used on!). I'd also advise against those sneaky mid-week weigh-ins. They can do more harm than good - if things looking great then proper WI not so good, you are disheartened, if things looking bad, you are disheartened - it's a lose/lose situation.

Welcome Queen and Breathe.

AP not going to be as high this week (no coastal walks. 8 mile walks into Padstow and back, etc) but still should be in the 40s which for me is good. I must extol the virtues of the weighted hula hoop - so much fun - and based on how these jeans now fit - it's doing me good! (Size 14s here i come!!)

Desperately need some new work clothes - i have one pair of trousers left that fit (and are beginning to be loose) and no skirts. Thankfully i work with mainly blokes who for the most part don't notice me wearing the same trousers day after day - but the time has come!

QueenFaeriecakes · 07/06/2013 09:45

Has anyone done 'before' pictures? I want to do one but to see the full extent of the bulge it would have to be an undies shot and I'm feeling embarrassed in myself to even do it even though it is only for my viewing. May put on my most unflattering outfit and do it.

flatmouse · 07/06/2013 10:49

Not as such, but i have plenty of "before" pics - every pic taken of me in the last 15 yrs (getting progressively worse!). None in undies though thank goodness!

jazzcat28 · 07/06/2013 13:43

I did a before pic on my phone of me in the outfit I wore to my first WW meeting at the beginning of January. Front on and side on. It is a good motivator - I looked at them the other day and it reminded me how whale-like i was how much I've achieved

Keeping fingers crossed for a loss tomorrow morning. I'm out to dinner tonight but have planned for it and still have 15 weeklies left just in case. Want to shed that 1/2lb gain from last week and hopefully 1lb more but we shall see.

In TTC news, I'm now in my 2ww (two week wait). Next AF due 18th June so am going to try to hold out for next POAS excitement until Sat 22nd.

OP posts:
Lambzig · 07/06/2013 14:48

Ok, so you are saying if I use my weekly points I will lose more weight. Looking at the weeks I have lost the most, I haven't touched the points. Might try it though.

jazzcat28 · 07/06/2013 16:06

I think it's more that using the weeklies should help maintain a healthy steady loss of say 1-2lb per week, rather than significant losses one week then nothing for a few more.

I think the WW plan is based on an average loss of 2lb per week consistently but I might be wrong..,

OP posts:
PiHigh · 07/06/2013 16:15

Sorry I've not been around much. I had a week of illness (dizzyness mainly) and then half-term & camping which has meant I've not really stuck to the plan at all. OTOH I've only put on 2lbs as a result and am back on track this week.

QueenFaeriecakes · 07/06/2013 17:39

Ooh WW raspberry cheesecake , don't mind if I do!

jazzcat28 · 08/06/2013 23:39

1.5lb down at WI this morning Smile

Sunshine made me do silly things though as had scampi and chips by the seaside with DH for tea

Hope you are all having lovely weekends

NonnoMum · 08/06/2013 23:47

Bumping. Weigh in day tomorrow. Not going well. are the meetings better than the online system??

Lambzig · 09/06/2013 12:06

So impressed with 30 day shred. Lost the 3lb I had put on at sneaky mid week weigh in and a further 2 , so overall 2 lb down on last week. At least it means my plateau is broken.

Trying to be saintly today after having the day off yesterday and drinking several glasses of prosecco.

jazzcat28 · 10/06/2013 08:44

hellooooooo is anyone still there?!

Presume the weekend has been filled with fun and frolics hence lack of posting!

I had a lovely BBQ yesterday but totally blew the diet. Hoping a week of being strict will help me at least maintain.

In an annoying size where I'm too small for my existing work trousers (baggy bum situation) but too big for the next size down.

OP posts:
QueenFaeriecakes · 10/06/2013 11:34

If I haven't lost a couple of lbs ths week I will be very surprised, the healthy eating is playing havoc with ibs Blush will be able to weigh myself when postie brings the scales today.

NoMoreMarbles · 10/06/2013 13:21

Hi everyone :)

well done on the weight losses :)

i have managed to break past my plateau too Lambzig :) i lost 2lb this week after 2 weeks of staying the same so im now down to 14st 6lb which is the lowest weight i have been in 7 years! my BMI is down to 33.4 after it starting off at 42.6 so im well on my way! i got a little thrill seeing my points drop down to 31 this week too! very pleased :)

i have been doing a daily weigh in app on my phone too which i am going to stop aswell (making me too weight-obsessed! )but it has said going by my daily and weekly weight losses i should be at goal within 6 months :) we will see but im aiming for xmas so thats not far off! :)

flatmouse · 10/06/2013 15:09

I'm still here :) Excellent losses people!

WI this morning saw me down about 1.5lbs which means there is < 1lb to go until i hit 2stone! Whoop :) Will probably set my next goal as another half a stone lighter - not entirely sure where my final goal will be.

Have managed to increase hula skills and yesterday managed a whole 20 mins without dropping it! Calf feeling mostly better but still bruised - seeing physio tomorrow so won't try it out until after then - my fashion statement compression socks have arrived ready though. Thinking next exercise activity to try is Skipping (will need to be wearing my shock absorber for that though). Still waiting to get my Shred DVD back to start that again.

Had to do massive Next order yesterday as really struggling on work clothes - obviously i ordered too much as half delivered today and half tomorrow. Ordered both size 14 and 16 in the trousers - i had one pair of 16 arrive today and they are too big - falling off - but i fear the 14 will be too small - will find out tomorrow.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 10/06/2013 15:28

I'm still here too. Just had the mad weekend from hell so didn't have time to do much apart from get through it.

Went to the posh frock awards do on Saturday night and...I won one!!

Was very pleased. Didn't wear slinky frock as it was too hot and I'd been playing netball all day so feet were sore. Wore a nice maxi dress though. And got drunk. And was ill all night. That'll learn me Wink. Had a medicinal McDonalds yesterday.

Back on it today though. Just been in the gym at lunchtime. Got a 10k race on Wednesday. Have a good day all Smile.

Neeko · 10/06/2013 16:18

Hi. I'm still here too. Been reality busy as DH was away and it's a new timetable at work. Got down to lightest weight in 7.5 years last week but had a big blow out on a shopping trip with my mum on Sat but getting back on track now.
Seems you're all doing well I'm particularly impressed by all the exercising going on.

Neeko · 10/06/2013 16:19

reality busy is supposed to say REALLY. Must stop multi-taskingWink

poorpaws · 10/06/2013 23:46

Hi all. I'm back and well done to everyone.

I've been nursing my eye which now looks much better (though still very red). Had my hair roots coloured at a trainee college today and they put a much darker colour on than it should have so now I not only have alien eye but a badger's head.

Had wi last Friday and stayed the same but the previous night was unexpectedly invited for steak and chips (and pud of course) so it totally ruined a week of trying hard to sort this last half stone out. On a more positive note I turned down a fish and chips meal out tonight because I thought it was a bit soon after the steak. (It turns out the fish and chips were very disappointing so I don't feel I've missed out so much). I'm so hoping for some small loss this week, I seem to have stayed the same for ever.

Keep on campers, you are doing so well. (Its a bit late in the evening to go through individual congrats so a communal well done).
