Right thought I should put up a new thread as we were getting close to filling up the old one!

Useful Notes and Links:

HD = Hairy Dieter's Recipe Book. Circa £7.00 on Amazon and full of yummy low WW point recipes

We share our yummy low point recipes on this thread

We track our losses weekly on this online spread sheet

The spread sheet also has a tab containing all the WW points for every single recipe in the HD book, courtesy of the lovely OhTheConfusion (for working them out) and AddictedtoCrunchies (for having the foresight to paste them in the spread sheet)

Here's to another thread of amazing losses ladies!!

addicted last night was my first weigh in so 13st7 is my start point. I've done pretty well so far today, I have a big weekend planned with visiting people and travel so goodness knows how it'll pan out. Those celebrations are tricksy buggers aren't they!

PiHigh - hi! I'm new too, 2 stone to lose. I lost a stone and a half a couple of years ago, but put a stone back on, partly due to gallstones and the changes to my digestive system after having my gallbladder out, partly due to polycystic ovary syndrome making me more likely to put on, partly due to a new and very stressful job - and partly due to having very little self control.

Neeko · 01/05/2013 20:20

Do any of you have extra hungry days? I'm ravenous today. I'm trying so hard to be good. Just had an apple with a ww fromage frais on top as want to save my weeklies for the weekend. Might need to resort to an early bed - if I'm sleeping, I'm not eating! Grin Grin

backinaminute · 01/05/2013 20:27

I am just the same tonight. I wet out last night and had huge blow out at th pudding night. It's unleashed something within me as all I've wanted to do is eat all day. I've just had some fruit ryvitas with choc phili and am going to bed to stop before total devastation.

Furball · 01/05/2013 20:29

I had a day like that on Monday

I had 2 bags of S & V snack a jacks, and 2 ww choccie bars - damage = 8 points Grin

Neeko · 01/05/2013 20:36

Oh thank goodness it's not just me! Smile

LondonJax · 01/05/2013 20:48

Mind if I join you (she says, waddling up). I joined WW two weeks ago as I'd had a lot of success with them ten years ago. Then I had IVF to have DS and the weight piled on...and never came off! I found a top, buried deep in the wardrobe, that I'd worn on my honeymoon 8 years ago and I couldn't even get it over my chest! So my aim is to get that on and be able to run upstairs without having to have oxygen at the top... And this time the weight is staying off!

AddictedtoCrunchies · 01/05/2013 20:48

I just ran six miles. Now I'm finishing the Celebrations Blush

AddictedtoCrunchies · 01/05/2013 20:49

Welcome London. We're a nice bunch and very supportive so pile in Wink

TWinklyLittleStar · 01/05/2013 21:11

Well done on the 6 mile run addicted

jazzcat28 · 01/05/2013 21:14

I just worked out a box of miniature Green & Blacks chocolate (6 mini batons) which I bought for a friend but kept for myself Blush are 2pp per baton! So the box is coming to work with me so I have a 2pp real chocolate hit in the afternoons Smile

Am going nuts symptom spotting and trying not to but I really do have a feeling that something is different. Those of you who've had children before - did you get a sort of funny saliva/taste in your mouth early on? Either that or 4 months of porridge for breakfast has done something weird..

Welcome to the newbies! I've been on this thread since it started in January and have almost lost 2st in that time and can honestly say this thread and the ladies who post here have kept me going even when I've gained at WI. So hopefully you too will have success.

What's everyone having for lunch tomorrow?

I'm having a can of soup and Ryvita - bit bored of soup now so thought id canvas you lot for new ideas!

Ooh Jazz I love a good symptom-spot Wink Mine were extreme tiredness and tingly boobs Grin

I'm having and egg salad tomorrow with 2 cracked black pepper ryvita and 2 eggs. 6 pp.

Crunchie Well done on the running. I've just had a mini crunchie Grin Grin

Welcome to the new comers. This is the thread to be on. In a few months we'll all be skinny except for Jazz who'll have a lovely bump Smile

Furball · 01/05/2013 22:01

I'm having salad with big fat juicy prawns and a smear of seaford sauce

and for tea - I'm having pizza!!

rosieposey · 02/05/2013 09:13

Hello :) can i join you?

I got a pro points weight watchers pack and calculator last year but couldnt get the hang of it at all. Im going to try again now because i have a 5 month old DS and i must be the only mum who has put on a stone and a half SINCE having her baby :(

Can anyone give me some advice please? I had a look around on the web (im not going to class as cannot afford the weekly fees and i have all of the stuff already) and some places are saying that the weekly allowance (im not bf'ing anymore) has been reduced by a couple of points say from 29 to 27. I was given a points allowance last year of 33 so does that mean i should reduce mine by a couple of points too - i dont think i weight that much more than i did last year.

Also are you still allowed the free fruit and veg AND the flexible 49 points too? Sorry for all the questions but i am desperate to lose weight and want to give this a go again.

I will read back across your thread now to see if i can get some tips as well - do any of you do it at home without going to class as well?

Ive got type 2 diabetes so ive got to do something as i am 41 and i want to see my DS's grow up. Hopefully i can join you all and have some success this time - the sunny weather is spurring me on!

PiHigh · 02/05/2013 14:18

jazz I'm no help, I'm having soup for lunch too.

rosie I get 26 daily points and 49 weeklies. Then fruit and most veg is 0pp (potatoes and peas are exceptions, can't remember what else)

I'm also going to the gym/swimming but am planning not to use the activity points. Today I've walked into town and back with some shopping and my arms are killing me now.

Dh is planning on pretty much following the plan too as he wants to lose a little weight.

fledtoscotland · 02/05/2013 17:55

Evening all. Properly back in the zone. Just made Thai green curry (aldi's jar is 3pts for 1/3 jar) bulked out with tonnes of veg, chicken breast, a mini naan and 75g of rice. A for only 14pts. I feel full rather than stuffed.

Might use a point or 2 for a choc biscuit at bedtime as a treat Wink

I actually feel better in myself being back on track.

AddictedtoCrunchies · 02/05/2013 19:10

Well done Fled that's great to hear. No size nines needed Wink

Neeko · 02/05/2013 19:35

Welcome Rosie. Sounds like you're mentally in the zone Smile I put on weight after. both my girls were born. People kept visiting and bringing cake!
Well done for getting back into it Fled
Crunchie Are you really a size 9??
We had a tomato and veg chicken recipe tonight that I got off e-source last time. It's delicious and cooks in the slow cooker. You only have to point the chicken and the rice and everyone in this house likes it -bonus! Grin

fledtoscotland · 02/05/2013 19:38

Crunchie- think ur size 9s will be v close to my arse for the foreseeable future Confused

PiHigh · 02/05/2013 20:01

Well I discovered that Dh had assumed meat lasts forever in the fridge Hmm. He hadn't checked the use by dates on anything when he put stuff away so the mince I was planning on using was out of date. We ended up having a chicken casserole thing I made up on Monday but everyone seemed to like it then so I figured I'd repeat it. Anyway if anyone wants the recipe it's basically:
for 4 people
4 chicken breast per person
10 shallots
1/2 red pepper
3-4 carrots
a swede
plus any other veg you fancy adding
Fry it on the hob in a casserole dish iyswim until chicken has browned a little, then add an oxo cube made with 1 pint of boiling water and stick it in the oven for an hour. It's only 4pp per portion Smile

PiHigh · 02/05/2013 20:02

Crap, that should say 4 chicken breasts not per person Blush

Furball · 02/05/2013 21:54

Well I'm feeling very smug - lost 3lbs making it 1/2 stone in 2 weeks Grin
Grin Grin

I'm going away at the weekend though so can't track online. It's self catering so I will have some say but still...........I'm going to pack all my books. It will involve a lot of cycling as well, so hopefully if anything untoward is consumed it will be minimised.

OhTheConfusion · 02/05/2013 22:34

Evening everyone, sorry I vanished for a wee while. I have been sticking to it and have lost 3lb over the past two weeks but we have had a death in the family and I just didn't feel up to very much Sad.

Hope you are all well, I promise to catch up with the thread asap.
