You know you will wkae up at 3am when all the lights blink o, and the telly powers up!

cyb · 19/05/2010 20:59

where is Bobbie today/ ahve seen her elsewhere but not on here

make yourself known, woman

BudaisintheZONE · 19/05/2010 21:00

I want to go to bed but the sodding dog won't go in her cage! Since she had her op and has this silly collar thing on she hates being in her cage. Can't leave her if she is not in cage as house open plan. I feel like chucking her out the door to sleep in the garden.

bobbiewickham · 19/05/2010 23:54

Have had a day of biffing, so haven't dared show my fat face.

Have been to ballet and those women on the stage are a different species. Inspired me but not to eat tissues

Back in the zone tomorrow!

BudaisintheZONE · 20/05/2010 07:40

Morning all.

bobbie - hope you are back in zone today!

Well finally got dog in cage. Little sod. Since she was a pup we have routine of saying 'bedtime' and she jumps up ready to go outside, then comes back in and runs into utility room waiting for me to get her treats which I throw into her cage, she shoots into cage and we shut door. She hates it now - I think the collar makes it harder for her to stretch out and get comfy. So I put treats in as normal and she wouldn't go in. Tried everything to get at them though! I put them right at the back and she even tried pulling the mat towards her so that she could get them without having to go into the cage! Ended up putting her outside again and we did he routine again with extra treats and it finally worked.

Then went up to bed - DH away, DS in my bed. Grumpy because he has a cold. Put Vick on chest and he moaned because I woke him up doing it. Then he was awake and grumpy for ages. I don't have any cold medicine but tried to give him Clarityn as thought it might dry his nose up a bit. Put on spoon and he refused it so it dripped on bed. Whinging and moaning and crying. The crying was unusual so I think he did feel shit. Finally got him to blow his nose a few times and take the Clarityn and he went asleep. He is such a drama queen when he is sick.

So. He is off school today. Will pop to pharmacy and get some cold medicine for him. He will moan as I will have to take him with me.

Anyway!

Serious zoning for me today. Really want to get under that 100kg mark tomorrow. Actually just hitting 100 would be ok - it will also mean I have lost a full stone.

cyb · 20/05/2010 07:44

I appear to be STILL losing weight despite trifle, ginger nuts yesterday (following a mouses salado though) LOTS OF CIDER

scales said 10 8 this morning

BudaisintheZONE · 20/05/2010 08:00

Are and you know who still fighting? Or have we a truce?

Trifle, ginger nuts and cider? That is not zonelike. That is biffing. (Am just jealous)

cocolepew · 20/05/2010 08:02

Buda I want to ask you about dog cages, I'm open plan as wll, don't have time atm though (bloody work, it just gets in the way)

cocolepew · 20/05/2010 08:03

Diet pill ladies not happy. Don't they realise if any actually worked we'd all be a size 6?

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 20/05/2010 08:09

Morning losers. wtg cyb, very good, maybe cider is noew superfood?

Go on buda, I totally understand the 'dropping below a certin weight' milestone, for the last 3 days the scales have read variations of 16st 1/4 lb to 16st 3/4lb. They just won't slip that little bit down.
Yesterday I do admit to having a small glass of full fat coke (was trying to get DD2 to drink it as she was dehydrated and did the 'ooh, it's lovely........gulpgulpgulp...oh sorry, i'll get soe more
2 days until my birthday though...

Legs killing me after dvd yesterday, think I will do abs workout today seeing as how I am stuck in the house with both dd's, dd1 has started hacking her guts up as well, so no school. I am so frigging bored.

BudaisintheZONE · 20/05/2010 08:10

Will answer your qs later then coco from my VAST experience of dogs and dog cages.

Not surprised diet pill ladies not happy really. There was rudeness from some people. Those diet pill ladies are not used to the straight talking around here. It would have been kinder to invite them to join us. I feel disappointed at the rudeness displayed and those who were part of it should think and reflect on how they would feel if the situation were reversed. (All to be read in tone of Ms Jean Brodie type headmistress.) I have a pack of Alli sitting on my desk! Always been afraid to take it though.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 20/05/2010 08:18

It was a bit blunt but I do get so cross with people thinking that these pills are anything more than a ploy by health companies to steal all your money, it's just slimfast in pill form ffs, it is not sustainable. And I didn't start it
I am staying off there now as it does make me agnry

Oh, and spoke to my mum, she is on dukan dietatm, has been plateauing for months and is super fit so needed a push. She has lost nearly a stone in 3 weeks. It's ONLY protein one day and then protein plus veg the next. She says it's okay but bloody expensive.

BudaisintheZONE · 20/05/2010 08:34

I did diet pills years ago when I lived in Bangkok. There was about 4 of us who used to troop off to a clinic miles away and see a doctor. He would give us 2 weeks supply and then off we would go. I was food combining as well. Got down to thinnest I had been for years. Have no idea what they were but am sure it wasn't good!

Have bought Zotrim and never gotten around to taking it. Have Alli sitting looking at me. The appeal of Alli is that I AM dieting. I AM losing. But it's slow. I like the Alli claim that for every 2 pounds you lose without Alli you can lose an extra one WITH Alli.

BudaisintheZONE · 20/05/2010 08:38

Oh - sorry DD still ill Jack. How is her temp today?

DS is watching TV - sulking because I won't let him play Playstation! Have told him he is off sick so can watch tv quietly or read. Or do homework. No Playstation or I will take him to school.

I am going to do a bit more sorting in basement. It's full of crap. Bags of stuff ready to go to charity - I just need to label them and deliver them to a mum at school. Then I want to rearrange furniture so that I can use cross trainer and watch DVDs. That involves moving a load of pictures and stuff. I think that is going to be my project for the day.

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 20/05/2010 08:43

Morning biffers - am rofling at coke story, Jack. Same would happen here!

As for pill thread, sometimes it is hard to hear the truth. Losing weight is hard work because you have to control ingrained eating habits and make the changes to your diet/life permanently. The pills might help you lose on a temporary basis but surely no one wants to be on them forever? Once you come off them, it all goes back on.

The reason why people are losing and continuing to lose on this thread is because they WANT to do it and have realised that nobody else or a magic pill can do it for us. Oh, for will power in a pill form!

There endeth the lesson.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 20/05/2010 08:47

WIll Pill Power?

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 20/05/2010 09:03

Lets market it and make a fortune - could combine it with SuSoup.

dinkystinky · 20/05/2010 09:59

Morning all - got back in the zone after being yelled at by Porridge (thanks again for that) and did not do toast or g&ts - DH surprised me with taking me to a veggie restaurant for meal pre-gig so had one glass of prosecco and a virtous veggie kebab and then bopped away at the gig. Was Scouting for Girls gig - v good in a cheesy way but my, there were a lot of back hamsters on display. That pushed me back into the zone again so did my pilates of pain class this morning. Tonight will do a Billy Blanks Tae bo dvd, inspired by Jack.

Gherkin- aargh re the PTA outfits being foisted on you (though the slutty cowgirl one sounds marginally better than the stripper pocohonkers one).

Sorry about all the ill kids on the thread - not good. Hope they get bettter soon.

Bobs - LOVE going to watch ballet/modern dance things. I sit there lusting after the lovely fit menfolk.

Dukes - I do exercise a lot but fortunately (or not) am also a greedy pig, so there is no danger whatsoever of my going all scary veiny armed like Madge.

Aitch · 20/05/2010 09:59

weird, dinks, my post to you thank ing for dress recommendations doesnt seem to have shown up, apologies. i think i'm going to head for pattern... basically i wish that i liked my upper arms more, ffs why do all summer dresses have to be sleeveless?

dinkystinky · 20/05/2010 10:01

Fair enough Aitch. Good luck with the pattern search. Sleeveless dresses - must be some cunning ploy by the fashion industry to charge us more money for less material or something...

Aitch · 20/05/2010 10:08

it's just ridiculous, tbh, they MUST know that upper arms are a problem area ffs. thing is, i don't want to wear a shrug... i think a shrug kinda broadcasts your body discomfort to the congregation, iykwim? plus it's going to be HOT.

dinkystinky · 20/05/2010 10:18

Know what you mean Aitch. Though FWIW I wore a shrug with my wedding dress (fitted one over bodice top) in 30 degrees heat back when we had a lovely sizzling summer and was fine - material and cut is everything.

Re upper arms - you cant spot reduce but can tone them if you're really unhappy with them. Press ups, tricep dips and shoulder raises - 3 x 12 lots of each - couple of times a day will soon show results.

BariatricObama · 20/05/2010 10:23

aitch just go with the sleeveless look. slap on some false tan and you will look thinner.

i have gone from having loads of time to lose weight before my holiday to not having much time at all!

can't believe i am back at 11 4 why does my body long to be 11 4?

Aitch · 20/05/2010 10:24

but in a wedding dress it's a style thing, all grace kellyish in a sheer material... lush.

Aitch · 20/05/2010 10:25

my body longs to be 11 2, bar, i am STUCK on it.
