Evening all. Glad you like the zonehunt Ducky and good on you for trying to stay in the zone in the face of adversity...

Yogini - have posted on your other thread.

Cornie - if you've posted all you've eaten today, no wonder you're starving Missus! You need some more protein in that diet to fill you up.

BO - love Nigel Slater cookbooks. They actually inspire me to cook. Speaking of cooking, Aitch I made that salad you linked to - was delicioso!

Dotty well done on dropping a dress size - keep up the excellent work.

dinkystinky · 25/05/2010 20:41

dress looks lovely Fishie!

Undertone · 25/05/2010 21:09

Oo - that does look nice.

Gus - you remember I have uber hips (and small-in-comparison waist)? Would this dress be too outrageous?

dinkystinky · 25/05/2010 21:12

Think you'd have to try it on Undertone- the stripes could go either way in working for you (and make you look taller and thinner than you are) or against you (and make you look wider than you are).

The brown stripy skirt on that page might be an option too if you like that kind of thing - I suspect the lines on that might be flattering in a slimming kind of way.

WilfShelf · 25/05/2010 21:15

I love that stripy Phase 8 dress: looks like it will be very flattering...

Undertone · 25/05/2010 21:16

It's such an arse getting to Oxford Street - where the map says my nearest one is - but you're right. Could be a triumph or disaster. It's a knife-edge balance...

The brown stripy skirt wasn't there when I went back. Bum.

pointydog · 25/05/2010 21:47

fornicating with armfuls of dill and asparagus? I am intrigued.

JackBauer · 25/05/2010 22:29

Well done dotty, I am size 18 too, is so nice to be in the teens!
Total, that's so nearly half way though, awesomo

Corn, eat more protein, poached egg is fast, meat, grilled chicken, something, I'd be starving on that, and starving is not good, it's counterproductive as your body won't like it and you wil end up miserable and biffing.

I've just been out on DH's new bike to the puuuub as I am svelte enough to get on it without cruching it to tiny flattened bits of steel. Forfgot how much fun it is
FIl babysitting, lovely.

cornsilkcottagecheese · 25/05/2010 23:13

I had some chicken Jack - still hungry. Am just a greedy biffer. I'm gonna have horlicks and bed I think. Living it large.

BudaisintheZONE · 26/05/2010 05:49

Morning all.

Up at 5.10 this morning! DH up to fly to London, dog heard him and that was it, she was up. Sigh.

DS off on 2 night school trip today too.

I will be home alone tonight. Not used to that.

Planning on making soup today and eating lots of that over next few days.

Jack - yay to trip on bike! (Not that you would get me on one!)

DottyDot - well done on size 18 jeans! Am dying to get to that. Still in 22s.

CheeeseOnToast · 26/05/2010 07:49

morning everyone

I walked home from work yesterday (didn't quite make it to the gym ) so I walked SIX miles in total yesterday. At quite a fast pace too. This site is brilliant if no one's seen it before: www.walkit.com - it tells you how long a walk will take, how many calories it burns off. And what Co2 you've saved by not driving.

Dinner last night was omelette (cheese and ham) which was delicious. Was talking to DP last night about how we take the simple things for granted (in reference to the omelette), and it sparked a conversation during which he told me that people asked him at work yesterday what his favourite thing is in his flat (he's a designer) and he said 'the wonderful woman I live in it with' Ahh!/vom - whichever is your preference! hehe.

I had a small bowl of cereal about 9pm, but all in all yesterday was good. And with the walking I have def come under calories.

Weetabix to start today, and I'll also be walking into work again. It only takes about ten minutes longer than the tube and is so much more pleasant.

Buda - don't worry about being on your own. I bet you even start to enjoy it. And at least you can zone away without any distractions. Enjoy the peace and quiet!

Oh and nice one Jack - I have never been on a motorbike but I think I'd love it! Must be great.

Well done all zoners, and those that aren't in the zone - STEP AWAY FROM THE FRIDGE! WILL IT MAKE YOU HAPPY? NON!!!!

DukesOfTripHazard · 26/05/2010 08:54

Be careful out there.

Just that really.

I had chicken breast with ratatat and beans in a cafe yesterday. It was swimming in tasty oil. I burped and gurgled all afternoon which wasn't good as I was in the live area of a recording studio and sure I will show up as background noise.

Cheese I'm with the Aws, not the voms.

Going to see someone today I last saw ten years ago when I was F-A-T from giving up smoking and losing my dad. I am expecting a dropped jaw. Pride before a fall though, eh.

Wish it was colder. Bought a second hand Comptoir de Cotonnier trench. So Beautifully cut and flattering.

FoghornLeghorn · 26/05/2010 09:03

Cheese - What a sweet DH you have
TotalChaos - Amazing weight loss, well done you - don't lose motivation !
Dotty - Well done on dropping a dress size - what a great feeling eh ?
Buda - I hate being home alone too

Was 11st 2.5lb - now 10st 12.5 = 4lb dropped
SOOOOO pleased ! IN THE ZONE !!!

dinkystinky · 26/05/2010 10:37

I'm in the aah camp too Cheese.

Jack - glad you enjoyed the ride on the bike and that having FIL come to stay has its upsides.

Buda - look on your alone time as a great opportunity to do those things you never get to do when your menfolk are around - watch the tv you want, do your nails, exercise, eat your zone food with no complaints etc. It will pass in a jiffy. I was up at 5.10 too thanks to DS2.

Dukes - enjoy the jaw drop effect

Today's menu is

  • porridge and low fat yoghurt, green tea
  • mini pack cadburys fingers and cherries for snack
  • Count on us tuna salad thingy for lunch after body pump
  • satsumas and a babybel light for snack
  • last of the beetroot feta and walnut salad for dinner with prawns after PT session.
dinkystinky · 26/05/2010 10:38

And well done Foghorn - you are zoning it for sure.

Themasterandmargaritas · 26/05/2010 11:44

Good zoning y'all.

at the Wispa. Did you eat it MamaG?

So I have just bought these beasts. I know they are hideous before you all yell at me, but I think they are secretly going to look fabulous on and that the photo doesn't do them justice.

Now, I hear a lot of ICE LOLLY talk going on. Surely that's against the rules?

dinkystinky · 26/05/2010 11:52

Ice lollies are allowed - provided you chose wisely TMAM. Mind you tis not the weather for them any more. I'm sorry but the word macrame sprang to mind when I looked that link Hope they look much better on.

Aitch · 26/05/2010 12:37

they look like gran shoes, tmam, hope they are better irl.

BudaisintheZONE · 26/05/2010 13:00

Hi all.

Took DS to school and waved him off on the coach on their trip. Very excited children. Pity the teachers!

Came back to discover that our basement had flooded yet again! Not through garage this time. Tis a mystery. Landlord has a man coming later to figure it out. And mop up cos I sure as hell ain't doing it.

Took dog for walk and got 3 mins from house and heavens opened. Came home, got changed and went to Ikea instead!

Food so far today was granola with blueberries for breakfast, apple for snack and have just had left over salads from the other night for lunch. Snack will be yoghurt and a kiwi fruit later. Making soup for dinner.

TMAM - have to agree that those sandals are a bit like my mother would wear.

Themasterandmargaritas · 26/05/2010 13:14

you are all right, I don't know what I was thinking of. I'm going to cancel them now.

cocolepew · 26/05/2010 14:21

I've just got the new olay to try for MN, you probably won't recognise me soon, I'll look so young

dinkystinky · 26/05/2010 15:06

Are you namechanging to Cocolaypew?

My mum used to use olay - that and facepowder and lipstick were her only make up/skin care regime. Sort of explains why I'm so cackhanded with make up I guess and stick to just lipstick and powder and nail polish...

Buda - cant believe your basement is flooded again. What a pain in the arse!

TMAM - maybe once you reach a certain age a switch goes on in your brain to make you be attracted to gimmer footware

Themasterandmargaritas · 26/05/2010 16:15

OMG I use Olay too. That's it I've turned into a gimmer.

Su posted RIGHT earlier, where'd it go?

DottyDot · 26/05/2010 18:14

OH GOOD GOD - I've also just discovered that eating no crap = no PMT...! My period has just completely surprised me - usually I'm a miserable bitch troll from hell for a week before, but I've been all sweetness and light!

DottyDot · 26/05/2010 18:16

ooh and thanks all for your encouragement - although must confess I haven't exactly dropped a dress size - norks are still bobbing around being a good size 20....
