bobbiewickham · 02/05/2010 13:33

Oh Gawd.

(do I lie, do I lie, do I lie?)

Nope.

Right.

Here goes.

Gulp.

Yesterday I ate...

Bowl of branflakes.
Cheese and leek pasty (was in flamingoland, low on healthy options).
Vegetable curry.
Rice.
Half a naan bread.
Some popadums (probably about 3)
A kitkat.
Had two beers.

That's really shit, I know.

Friday I had...

Bowl of branflakes.
Salad with prawns and half an avocado.
About two bites of a chocolate cookie.
A veggieburger in a wholemeal bun with salad, about two potato wedges and about four sweet potato wedges and some sweetcorn salsa.
A kitkat.
Two beers.
A white wine and soda.

cocolepew · 02/05/2010 13:34

I've felt really fat the last couple of days and can't figure out way.

We took the DDs to a Dr Who convention this morning, DD1 declared "I'm now offically a geek aren't I". We were so proud.

cyb · 02/05/2010 13:35

coco head fine thanks, am having an early 2pm slump. Might have a little nap on sofa infront of some politics show.

balls of feet a little sore and I ahve virtually lost my voice! Too much squawking

My mother complained last night that dh hadnt said hello to her and I had hardly spoken to her. I should have chucked her off the balcony into the bloody Thames

bobbiewickham · 02/05/2010 13:36

Actually, carrying on with the age of Aquarius theme, don't you think my diet has an appealing 70s vibe?

Avocado and prawns?
Veggieburgers?
Vegetable curry?

pointydog · 02/05/2010 13:36

lol @ penguin blow out.

I allow myself unrestricted tea and coffee and I take semi skimmed in it. I could't face erbal teas

cocolepew · 02/05/2010 13:37

Yesterday, hmmm [thinks]

2 slices of wheaten bread toasted, banana.

Strawberries and cream
fruit salado

2 cracker things (25 cals each)

chicken tikka masala (about half)
pilau rice (again about half)

That's it.

Friday, nowt after breakfast of 2 slices of toasted wheaten and a banana.

pointydog · 02/05/2010 13:38

wow - did you have fun at flamingoland, bobs?

FairhairedandFrustrated · 02/05/2010 13:38

Cyb - glad you had a good party Can you link to the dress you wore in the end? I was away for a while & missed the final purchase!

I bought a fab dress yesterday, but the small independant shop doesn't have a website! I will try & take a pic for my profile. Love it!

  • those of you who weigh every day - do you be disheartened when you see you may have gained a bit & if so, how do you pull it back to have a loss?

  • those of you who weigh every day - do you think it's healthy?

pointydog · 02/05/2010 13:39

oh, I had wine fri night and sat night. I do not restrict my wine so I have 2 glasses each night, sometimes 3

pointydog · 02/05/2010 13:40

yes, I would like to see your dress, cyb.

No it is not healthy to weight every day! It is an obsession, let's be honest

pointydog · 02/05/2010 13:41

it helps me stay firm, though, to see an unmoving scale. I say 'I will beat you, scale, I WILL TRIUMPH'

pointydog · 02/05/2010 13:41

when I say 'each night' I mean fri and sat. Don;t have any alcohol on other nights.

JackBauerIsZonerrific · 02/05/2010 13:42
  • What do you snack on in the evenings

  • What can I have a bread replacement for lunch as I make sarnies a lot for picnics with girls and soup is not always practical to eat whiel walking round

Oh, and can I have offical thread gold star for being smugarse loser?

bobbiewickham · 02/05/2010 13:43

Erm, kind of, pointydog

Not my idea of a good time (would rather have been reading in a hammock) but the dses enjoyed it and it's nice to see them enjoying themselves.

Was blardy freezing and amazingly no queues for anything, so was all good

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 02/05/2010 13:43

Low fat yoghurt with mango and passion fruit and 25g of low fat granola
1/2 salad nicoise (Pizza Express)
1 slice malt loaf
2 tablespoons chicken biryani, 1 spoon veg curry, half a naan, 2 spoons of dahl
8 celebrations
4 cups tea

JackBauerIsZonerrific · 02/05/2010 13:43

Oh sorry, when is weigh in day or do we do it at start of threads?

FairhairedandFrustrated · 02/05/2010 13:44

Friday I had: Banana, apple & grapes, baked potato, beans & cheese (low fat cheese) am not low carbing. Had about 7 cups of tea.

Saturday: Apple, boiled rice, chicken & black bean sauce, onions & veg & 2 (largeish) glasses of rose wine with a bag of beef flavoured hula hoops

I know, Friday was a disaster.... didn't eat enough fruit or veg & just had one main meal. Had to cover an inquest & it was heart-breaking. Yesterday I was dress shopping all day so was afraid to have a lunch incase my belly stuck out in dresses.

Current weight: 9st 2lb

pointydog · 02/05/2010 13:44

I like the occasional day at a theme park, I must admit

cocolepew · 02/05/2010 13:44

Why no bread Jack? You low carbing?

bobbiewickham · 02/05/2010 13:47

Right, here are my questions.

I am a total carbhead and never feel full without them. Are all carbs bad news for slimming?

I don't eat meat. I need some not too biffing protein ideas. Think nuts have been a bit of a downfall lately.

How do I combat emotional eating? Things have not been all that rosy in Bobworld lately and I turn to the wine bottle (sounds bad) and the biscuit tin. How do I get past that?

Am I on a total hiding to nothing?

pointydog · 02/05/2010 13:47

crikey jingo, some of you aren't eating much.

porrideg, the PE salad nicoise is eNORmous, isn't it? Quite a challenge

bobbiewickham · 02/05/2010 13:48

As long as it's very occasional , pointy, so do I.

In a way...

pointydog · 02/05/2010 13:48

aren't eggs good for protein? omelettes and such and such
