lol at cockadoodle poo Cyb!

Ah cheers Su, thats v informative

dinkystinky · 02/05/2010 16:02

DS2 often has a postprandial poo - tis most amusing. He is like a clockwork baby. Up at 5.45/6am every morning and poo post lunch and dinner - bless. Love the notion of cockadoodle poos - will be using that phrase from hereon in.

My 2 normally eat 5/5.30 and DH and I eat around 8/8.30 - do family breakfast and lunch at the weekends. I think either eating late suits you and your lifestyle or not -mum & dad used to eat really late when we were kids (around 9 most nights) and we used to have family meals with them.

dinkystinky · 02/05/2010 16:07

Su - my eldest is a fussy eater (food is an optional concept in his eyes - he could survive on air and apple juice most days) - DS2 is a hoover. Meal times are a circus. I like having adult meal time without little people talking at me the whole time (DS1) or yelling at me till I give them the food off my plate (DS2) so 2 family mealtimes a day are all my sanity can cope with at the weekends. Will have cup of tea and DH will have a snack with the boys at their tea time.

SuSylvester · 02/05/2010 16:14

thanks ues
and i am a fod snob
i like spices and fish and stuff
and prawns and all that

dinkystinky · 02/05/2010 16:18

me too

cyb · 02/05/2010 16:20

I am the exact opposite of a food snob, I am a food pleb. give me beans on toast every night and I woudl be happy. I break out in a sweat if there is a prawn in the vicinity

dinkystinky · 02/05/2010 16:26

lol cyb

pointydog · 02/05/2010 16:38

we all have meals together and I don't like it if I am eating different stuff to the dds. I have small portions.

I don't have macaroni and chips with them, I sit with my tuna and beetroot salad and they are ok about it.

dd2 is v senstive to the whole dieting thing

pointydog · 02/05/2010 16:39

we are going to the indian buffet night tonight to help the dds branch out into the world of curries. That's the only reason natch

pointydog · 02/05/2010 16:40

I am v regular with poos. Must be first thing in the morning as I do not want to have one at work

pointydog · 02/05/2010 16:41

the dds are not particularly fussy but they like different things to each other and it drives me nuts. So one like tomatoes, one doesn't; one likes mince, one doesn't and so on ad infinitum

bobbiewickham · 02/05/2010 16:44

Oops sorry Su.

Must be hard if they are fussy.

Will vary veg.

But too lazy otherwise.

MamaG · 02/05/2010 16:45

I'm a food pleb as well
i had a pot noodle the other day for lunch at work
boss was horrified

Just sw Nick Clegg in asda nad had to FIGHT my way out of the store, carrying my 6 year old son FGS. I put up my free arm like Adam Ant and PLOUGHED my way out

Am going to watch news tonight to see if I can see myeslf ploughing arf

bobbiewickham · 02/05/2010 16:45

There's always one mawky face at the dinner table.

But am 'ard.

Dealing with disappointment a valid life skill.

pointydog · 02/05/2010 16:47

lolol @ adam ant

pointydog · 02/05/2010 16:48

the dds even vary in which ice lollies they will eat. It must be intentional

MamaG · 02/05/2010 16:48

I had a little crowd following my plough to get out

one woman panted "God, who IS that?"
me -" nick clegg"
her - " who's that?"

arf

MamaG · 02/05/2010 16:51
  • shall i go have swimming lessons? I used to swim qutie well as a kid but have lost all confidence and now, when I can't touch the bottom, I panic. Rang local pool and they were very nice and said yes, wed nights, v quiet, can build confidence. Shall I go? I feel silly!
pointydog · 02/05/2010 16:51

maybe someone was saying that about you, mama. 'who is that masked man?'

pointydog · 02/05/2010 16:52

adult lessons? Yes, I don't think they'd be embarrassing at all

pointydog · 02/05/2010 16:52

I wouldn't want to be in with the 5 yr olds though. Too much splashing

MamaG · 02/05/2010 16:55

pd I don't get the masked man thing

God yes adult lessons - woman said hardly anyone goes, so would prob be 1 to 1

dinkystinky · 02/05/2010 17:17

Do it MamaG - good for your DC to see mum is confident in the pool.

MamaG · 02/05/2010 17:21

but I'm SCARED!

CheeeseOnToast · 02/05/2010 17:32

Do it MamaG!!! It would be ace. (or "acers" as my 'trendy' friends say lol) Get back on that horse.

I am soooooo excited about joining the gym again, it's ridiculous. Am really gonna go for it. Just wish it had a pool, I love swimming. Too expensive round here though, it's like £4 for one go. Pah. Gym is fine for me-heee

Oooh I'm in a really good mood tonight!

DP going away tonight for two days, he leaves at 7pm, which gives me all night to fake tan, do toenails, not eat, and prepare for a day with my two lovely friends tomorrow back in my hometown
