Have had a namechange since last time I was here, but think I like this one better than the last.

Didn't lose this week And I wasn't even over eating!

Morning all.

Still feeling ridiculously sad about the death of a man I never met. 22 years of morning radio show makes you an institution I think.

Was so shocked yesterday that I couldn't even focus on what to have for dinner so we ended up ordering a curry. I didn't actually eat much. Did have popadums and some nan and a small amount of rice.

There had been a bake sale at school and I bought DS some chocolate brownies. They were tiny - about an inch square - and came in a pack of 4. On way home was planning a treat of a brownie with a cuppa but have to say thankfully that went out the window.

Cyb - glad rest of your day went well. Enjoy the build up to the partay and the beautifying. I am sure there will be much beautifying! (Not that I am suggesting you need it you understand - just that I think you will anyway!)

Jack - hope head ok this morning. Sorry DH twat. Men. Can't live with them , can't bury them under the patio.

Back in zone today. Planning BBQ for dinner. Will just be meat and salad for me.

Mama, that biscuit tipped me over the edge, was very ill lastnight, dh ok, looks like dd has a possible ear infection + she won't go to anyone but me when she is ill. Been up with her since 5. Luckily started + finished early so don't feel toorough. Can't face food though!

Didn't eat anything at all yesterday. Had a bit of an incident in work with one of our pupils (by incident I mean I got the crap kicked out of me ). I'm badly bruised and think I may have got a couple of broken ribs.

I don't reccommend it as a diet aid though.

I am avoiding cake today. But tomorrow is boot sale day in an effort to get rid of all my fat clothes. I feel that having to deal with the great unwashed and at such an ungodly hour only deserves a bacon buttie or two so will be eating in a v saintly way today to minimise the damage.

Feels a bit ghoulish/mawkish in a way - I know people look a bit at people being sad about public figures dying but he was larger than life and part of broadcasting in Ireland since the early 80s. Having lived out of Ireland for so long one of the things I still loved about going home was getting up in the morning and going downstairs and turning Gerry on in the kitchen.

Buda I know how you feel, DH was in pieces when Joey Dunlop died. He usually has a heart of stone but he'd grew up watching him race and was devastated.
