that's it. it reminds me of the 'classy' dress that richard gere, millionaire procurer of prostitutes, bought for streetwalkin' julia roberts in that fillum...

Themasterandmargaritas · 30/04/2010 11:31

I quite fancy having a hint of hooker about me.

Nice round-up by the way.

dinkystinky · 30/04/2010 11:39

Ah yes, I agree LK Bennett shoes are crap - you pay £££s for them then have to go and get them resoled anyway before you wear them and keep resoling them. Yes dress was v expensive (but came down to £180 with discount) - will get second opinion on it tonight from DH and if gets thumbs up keep it, if gets a meh will return it and get the moolah back. On plus side, I rarely buy new stuff (maybe once every couple of months) so could probably just about justify the expense...

Noddy- that dress looked meh on the hangers but v nice on a lady I saw trying it on.

TMAM - well done on your humongous run. Biff on good foods (like protein stuff) to feed those muscles missus.

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 30/04/2010 11:45

Aitch - round up link please or tell me where i can find it because I've lost it.

dinkystinky · 30/04/2010 11:49

Yes,I'd like to know where I can I find the round up too please. I used to get emails of them but then they disappeared for some reason

dinkystinky · 30/04/2010 12:09

Hmm, its very quiet on the boards this morning following the hormonal handbags-at-dusk shenanigans last night...

Maybe everyone is off getting ready for Cybs partay

cyb · 30/04/2010 12:21

Gorgeous dress dinky. Beautiful. And calorie free! Much better to biff on that then on canapes!

Belated birthday greetings Themasterandmargaritas!

I have two pairs of LK Bennett boots - dark red ankle high heeled ones bought in sale about 7 years ago and a purple dressy suede ones bought not in sale for Xmas 6 years ago. Still going strong. They are evening wear only though really. For me anyway.

Noddy - have to say not overly keen on that dress you linked to but have a couple of friends that I can see looking fab in that.

Went to British women's coffee morning this morning at British Embassy here. I never remember to go - it is a monthly thing. Resisted pastries. Had one coffee and 2 glasses of water. Came home starving and was able to quickly tuck in to salads I had left in fridge from yesterday. Tuna one and a lentil one. Let myself get too hungry though. Still hungry. Need something else. All bloated from getting too hungry too. Does that happen to anyone else?

Themasterandmargaritas · 30/04/2010 12:32

how lovely.

JackBauerIsZonerrific · 30/04/2010 12:38

I never get emails anymmore, I did everything BigTech tol dme but alas, I am not worthy

Well done ZA, goal weight, is AWESOME!

Buda, I am 5ft 9 so it's spreads out a bit easier on me, that's why my goal is only 13 atm. I get there I should be a 12-14 and would be happy! How about a bifftastic fruit salad for the winner
I think the £70 is because it's the new financial year and I haven't had a renewal pack to tell them how much we earnt, so they have just made it up. Fuck all I can do until I get the pack, which could be 2 months. Not happy. I know it's only £70 but that's a weeks food ffs.
Look on the bright side, can't afford biffer food now even if I wanted to! haha!

Our big girl's night out tonight is down to 2 of us now so might be a bit cheaper than i was expecting, can't be last one to pull out so am goign to have to go out or I'll feel guilty for ever!

JackBauerIsZonerrific · 30/04/2010 12:50

Oh cyb, how sweet!

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 30/04/2010 12:51

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CYB!!!

I am now 10st12 -yay. Another lb gone, exactly halfway to goal. Great stuff all those looooosers

dinkystinky · 30/04/2010 13:06

Cyb - that is soooooo sweet! Have a lovely lunch.

Brilliant stuff Gherkin.

Jack - missed that about your tax credits (were aLOT of posts to scan through). What an arse! When you get the pack and appeal will you be able to get backpay on the money they're wrongfully withholding?

Buda - drink some water quick and then see if you're hungry. If you are - go crudites (esp celery/carrots) - should fill you up.

EricPicklesFatNeck · 30/04/2010 13:08

happy birthday cyb! i am the same about presents i always think 'how can you know me for so long and yet buy me a box set of sex and city for christmas' and sulk and then feel guilty.

anyway break out the trumpets i was not 11 4 this morning i was 11 3 (.4)

well done jack you big loser!

AitchTwoZone · 30/04/2010 14:03

talk round up link thingoid on rhs of this page, i see...

and oh what a lovely day you are having, cyb, lol at milestone but aaaw at flowers and singing.

who's reached target weight, i missed that, congrats in any case.

and dinky for some reason i find 180 much more palatable as a number, i think the dress is lovely and you should keep it.

justallovertheplace · 30/04/2010 14:06

Ooo I would love to be a regular if I am not too late
Lurked a bit at the beginning but had lost most of my weight already. Maintaining/trying to lose 2 or 3 pounds now.
Basically I put on a LOT of weight when I was pg with ds, who was born June 2008. I did nothing about it, had a shitty year with PND and got up to 15 stone Decided to kick myself up the arse last October and am now 9 stone 12 ish. Am 5'7. And finally have my mojo back
I don't like my name though. Can't go back to my original one really. May change to something similarish. Am deffo not all over the place now.

smallishsheep · 30/04/2010 14:10

Ta Da

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 30/04/2010 14:19

purty name

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 30/04/2010 14:22

Roundup appeareth - nice one Aitch.

chibi · 30/04/2010 14:34

Ok

weighed myself am 11st3 up a pound on last week

have been zoning, low carbing and running
WTF

is this a plateau? How do I get off it?

Also i tried on those halternek dresses at h+m and am too voluptuous to carry it off

here's another thing

every day i see people larger than myself, all of whom are wearing clothes, many quite stylishly. WTF am I struggling to find stuff that fits and looks ok on me? How are they doing it?

Well done ZA on goal weight!

Have a happy birthday cyb

smallishsheep · 30/04/2010 14:38

chibi, they way I've managed plateaus (have had 2 big ones) is to actually eat more for a few days. For some reason it kickstarts things, though it may be a week or more before you see the result.
Shopping is very difficult when you have lost weight though. I have gone from an 18 to a 10 and still have fat girl mentality. Am slowly getting used to dressing my smaller self though
How old are you? It may be that H and M isn't the best place. Hell, I'm 26 and I sneer at a lot of it as being too young [old gimmer emoticon]

dinkystinky · 30/04/2010 14:49

welcome smallishsheep - and brilliant loss there!

Chibi - try something new to get off the plateau. Drink LOTS of water to flush system out. Do new exercises. Mix up your diet - and see what happens.

The important thing with clothes I think is getting clothes that suit your figure and are a good material and good cut so they hang right - that must be what those people are doing. And good underwear is in my opinion essential - difference between vavavoom and vavavulger. That's why I'm so not-a-follower-of-trends as the vast majority dont suit me or my body - when I see something I do like and I know it would suit me I will act on it though (cheers for the approval Aitch).

Where did that round up link appear from? Wasnt there earlier I swear. Off to read it now.
