gherkin - the cook yourself thin book has a yummy prawn and pea risotto I think so it cant be that bad...

MamaG - cant you enlist babyG and his amazing powers of snaffling food to help you find your way back to the zone?

Speaking of the zone, Coco how you doing on your less sugar quest?

pointydog · 12/04/2010 17:10

I am not particula\rly hungry, I am just thinking about my food consumption and thinking about how triffic I will look and how I will buy summer clothes. I worry it might aLL wear off very soon.

MarshaBrady · 12/04/2010 17:12

Thanks Dinky. I want a breakfast that kicks starts the metabolism (otherwise I end up eating too much at end of the day) but isn't just pointless carbs.

Have cut out potatoes, pasta and bread (oh and the obvious stuff like sausages and most of the dc's meals) and seems to be really helping.

pointydog · 12/04/2010 17:16

porridege or home made granola if you have no time

noddyholder · 12/04/2010 17:23

Need to stop drinking wine although m and s 10% alcohol one is quite low cal esp with lots of fizzy water.this diet is making me a bit of a lush!

pointydog · 12/04/2010 17:26

I will be relying on lots of diet coke.

noddyholder · 12/04/2010 17:28

Me too pointy I feel like a drug dealer with it in my trolley at sainsburys I keep it hidden from all my natural health freak friends but it stops me eating at about 4pm

SuSylvester · 12/04/2010 17:30

me too with wine
but hey needs must

pointydog · 12/04/2010 17:33

I am not cutting down on alcohol

cocolepew · 12/04/2010 17:40

I AM THE MASTER OF THE ZONE.

Oh yes, bow down at my feet (well done Cyb, v v impressed)

Mid morning snack - an apple and 2 oat cakes (with butter)

Lunch - veg soup, 2 oat cakes, an orange

Dinner - salmon fillet, little bit of rice and lots of veg.

The oat cakes have to go. They have sugar in them and are nearly 50 cals each. I need a repacement, I can only eat corn thins with jam, so they're out.

SuSylvester · 12/04/2010 17:53

whoever condoned oat cakes?

SuSylvester · 12/04/2010 17:54

lol at the dog
i hear you and am with you.

i do sense a beginning of zonedom for us since last fRIDyas disaster

noddyholder · 12/04/2010 17:55

brown pitta is soooooo filling esp if you split it in 2 feels like you are having lots

pointydog · 12/04/2010 17:59

what's wrong with oatcakes? Are you all really hardcore?

SuSylvester · 12/04/2010 18:00

god yes
today
branflaks veg soup
that is IT so far

oh two wedges off ds2s plate

cocolepew · 12/04/2010 18:00

Yep, I'm stopping sugar [weeps]

Themasterandmargaritas · 12/04/2010 18:02

Hold on coco I am the Master.

What not even a sniff of a wotsit?

Am i the only one still doing carbs? Oh the shame.

cocolepew · 12/04/2010 18:03

I'm not off carbs I'm having wholemeal bread with my trademarked smelly eggs in it tomorrow.

Can I be the Queen then?

pointydog · 12/04/2010 18:07

crikey.

today: weetabix and milk, fruit juice, half tin tuna (briney one), 2 jacob's crackers, 2 tangerines, just had 5 oven crinkle chips, will have spiced vegetables and possibly some spinach soup

noddyholder · 12/04/2010 18:10

wedges of what???????????

SuSylvester · 12/04/2010 18:11

spud

ReshapeWhileDamp · 12/04/2010 18:25

Not too bad today:
branflakies with a drop of fullfat milk (ran out of skimmed). Raisins.

Apple. About five corn thins. Small bit of chicken breast. Three bits of DS's breadsticks . Some more raisins. Tiny cube of cheddar.

Tonight - I want to make the curried parsnip soup thing but DH doesn't really do soup. MIght make it anyway and send him out to forage in hedgerows.

Themasterandmargaritas · 12/04/2010 18:25

It suits you much better.

I've just had my Very Low Fat risotto.

See it's very hard to resist a carb.

QueenCoco · 12/04/2010 18:27

Merci.

I am eating an orange.

LadyBlaBlah · 12/04/2010 18:38

I see the zone on the horizon. Reading this thread it seems I have not been the only one to fall into a zone hole.

Just to fully release my zone guilt, last week (well in the space of 2 days) I ate:
A McDonalds deli sandwich,
half a packet of spring onion cheddars in about 7 minutes,
a sausage roll,
a pepperoni pizza
And cheese on toast
Oh and drank copious amounts of lager (why oh why??)

I put on all my loss, but am just this morning back to my 9lb12lb (3lb less than when I started)

I have soup for dinner, and had soup for lunch. And this is hardcore now.....NO alcohol til Friday either !
