Oooo I have a couple of packs of apricots in the cupboard.. shall retrive.

Maybe not 3 weeks but at least 5 days. I've always been like this. Dr prescribed movical, and then another liquid stuff, but even they had to be taken in mega doses to have any effect, and as soon as I stopped taking them was back to "normal"

ReshapeWhileDamp · 08/04/2010 20:46

Ooh, poor Humph's DS. Enjoy your wine!

Geordie, I'm looking wistfully at kittens in need of a home, too... Since we've decided to try and put the house on the market in next few months, it's probably not what we need at this juncture...

HumphreyCobbler · 08/04/2010 20:47

sometimes I take psyllium husks for weeks at a time. Capsules though, can't be doing with drinking gloop.

also try a good probiotic (not those crap yoghurt things though)

geordieminx · 08/04/2010 20:52

here are kittens. like the last two skippy and musk

geordieminx · 08/04/2010 20:53

Fuck. Link is not to kittens. Link is to monsters. Although good motivation for staying in zone

here are kittens

dinkystinky · 08/04/2010 20:55

Dear god Geordie - those pics in the first link are terrifying!

ReshapeWhileDamp · 08/04/2010 21:05

I love Skippy! Oh god I miss my cat.

As for the other link - cue perennial MN shouting match debate on whether these are feisty girls enjoying themselves, or raddled trouts who should know better. [girn]

ReshapeWhileDamp · 08/04/2010 21:07

Ahem. I always girn now that my teeth come out at night.

cyb · 08/04/2010 21:14

STOP THE CLOCKS

Dress is bought

So was this bag

cocolepew · 08/04/2010 21:15

Show us the dress not the bag (it's nice though)

cyb · 08/04/2010 21:29

oh there is no linky for dress I have looked, sorry

BUT its bright orange (I'm ALL about the orange ever since corny showed me an orange Marks dress which I've also ordered but will probabkly not keep..pause for breath....anyhoo its Ted Baker, silk mix, sort of straight shift shape but slight stretch with lovely litle shoulder flap things and a v back. Its 80's really, but would look equally nice with little gold flip flops and a cardi

cocolepew · 08/04/2010 21:31

After all that there's not even a picture?

AitchTwoZone · 08/04/2010 22:52

am wondering what will happen tomorrow, am packing for a wedding, immense stress etc cannot find shoes and dd2 yelling AGAIN so have sought comfort in the peanut butter jar.

If anyone is carb-decreasing, I can really recommend Nigella's white bean mash. I think white beans are haricot beans? Anyway, I used those and you just smooosh them in a pan with olive oil and garlic and some lemon zest (sprig of rosemary too if you want). Utterly lovely and easy to use as a better carb version of mash.

Btw I have been BAD over Easter. Getting myself in check to post soon but still no battery for scales. In two minds about getting one - got really really obsessed about what the scales said last time they worked. Not sure its healthy or helpful? Prefer to gauge how my clothes are fitting. I will be thrown out by Su, I think....

that is still v carby though, in the scheme of things. i love bean mash, oh my GOD i do. and fantastic cold the next day, also great made into quick tuna fishcakes with a spike of chili or not.

CrossWords · 08/04/2010 23:06

Aitch are the beans not full of protein? It must be better than straight potato mash?? I thought it was good food

AitchTwoZone · 08/04/2010 23:13

god, yeah, it's good food, and certainly has more protein than potato mash which hasn't any. but from what i understand about beans etc, while veggies get their protein from them, they're still much higher in carbs than in protein iyswim? not something to get one's knickers hugely in a twist about if the only alternative is mash, but you're still better off with more broccoli.

CrossWords · 08/04/2010 23:19

Dandy I am doing that and am definitely losing weight. Have done before, the same way, Its a little bit slowly but surely at first, ime, then whooosh it all comes off. And the best thing, again ime, is that you get to a nice weight and can be a bit naughty for a weekend or a xmas or easter and it makes no difference,

CrossWords · 08/04/2010 23:38

Aitch I have checked the carb count on the beans and it is 15%, as opposed to 85% on the rice in my cupboard and - bloody hell - 79% in the quinoa, wtf???

AitchTwoZone · 08/04/2010 23:43

oh yeah? 15% is pretty cool. which beans? i use cannellini.
