I bought non-plastic chocolates in Hotel Chocolat last week, stashed away for easter. Am anticipating a bit of a de-wagonage that weekend, tbh.

dinkystinky · 27/03/2010 09:42

You lot all talk too much! Cant believe there is now a whole new thread on its 4th page already. Loving the clothes and shoes talk - though as saving up to do total house renovations over the summer, am trying not to look at them (have decided am not going to treat myself with clothes when I get to goal, am going to treat myself by spending xmas spa vouchers on a lovely pampering session for new svelte body...)

Lesinge - read your post. Get ye and your carrot cake to the sin bin to do your work today.

Coco, Geordie, Moodlums - sorry you're all still feeling so rubbish. Get better and back in the zone soon.

Totally sleep deprived thanks to DS2 this morning so have had pancakes (but wholegrain ones with a splash of maple syrup and berries - I eschewed the nutella and bananas that were yelling at me) and am now virtuously sitting on the sofa next to DS1 who is trogging an easter egg and am not even tempted to nick some. DH and DSs will be having pasta for lunch - I will be having veg with low fat houmous to get myself out of the sin bin and will aim to do exercise dvd later today if can garner some energy somehow.

I dont have back hamsters - though do appear to have gerbils hanging onto the side of my ribs (rather than love handles) which are starting to diminish in size I think...

dinkystinky · 27/03/2010 09:43

drool at hotel chocolat chocolates MamaGoblin - there's one behind the gym near my work. I have to make myself walk the long way back to work so I dont go near it and accidentally get sucked in...

Thingiebob · 27/03/2010 09:44

I'm fat after having a baby ten weeks ago and spending four years taking steroid medication so having a limitless appetite. No longer on steroid medication for the time being - YAY! So I really want to lose some weight whilst I can. I was always slim before medication so I want to get back there, but there is NO way I can live on vegetables and steamed fish. It would depress me and frankly it tastes crap, plus I have a small baby and so am often too knackered to cook anything more exciting than a pasta dish or unhealthy shit like pizza.

Any advice on healthy tasty snacks? My DH and I have got rid of crisps and chocolate from the cupboard and have started noting the cal content of foods but I suspect I am going to need more motivation!

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 27/03/2010 09:45

merci bien, dinky. i don't have back hamsters either, my back problem is further up. basically i have a Fat Back. but no hips to worry about as am poster girl for the Apple Shape.

LeSingeEstDansLarbre · 27/03/2010 09:46

hmm baby ten weeks ago, no one's going to shout at you, sorry. you just need to do whatever gets you through the day, but yes, not eating so much crap will help for sure.

MamaGoblin · 27/03/2010 09:48

Hotel Chocolat used to be a lot safer when it was just mail-order - wanky expensive catalogues, unlikely to be tempted. Now there's a shop in Reading, it's all too easy to get a quick, cheaper fix.

Thingiebob - congratulations! Wow, you're being very good thinking of weight loss so soon. TBH, I'd leave it a while yet - you must still be in the No Sleep Zone. Or do you hvae a miraculous sleeper?

AuldAlliance · 27/03/2010 09:53

marking thread for later.

prob not necessary, you'll have filled this one by noon.

dinkystinky · 27/03/2010 09:54

Thingiebob - congrats on your baby. Make sure you drink LOTS of fluids (esp if bfing) as will stop you overeating due to exhaustion. Good snacks (which I used after DS2's birth, after DS1's birth was cake and biscuits all the way which was more fun but made losing the weight much harder) - fruit, oat cake with some reduced fat houmous on it (good for energy levels) are good choices. But dont try and restrict your eating too much as you need fuel to get you through this time, and you shouldnt be making yourself miserable/ill from lack of food.

Lesinge - I used to be a classic hourglass, but now find myself tending towards apple. Wanna go back to hourglass asap!

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 27/03/2010 09:57

lesinge -i am hourglass. Trouble is the top and bottom are sooo wide!
Bust 40(and its all mams, bra size 30J)
Waist 29 (since the diet started, was 30+)
Hips 39

Want to maintain the shape but lose 3 inches or so off each measurement.

My back hamsters are retreating - posted on other thread about back dormice. Want them to wake up and clear off too though.

MamaGoblin · 27/03/2010 10:02

I am hourglass after being an apple post-DS, but still have the kangaroo pouch full of stretchmarks. Nothing's going to shift that short of surgery, I fear. (am trying hard not to think of man on Embarrassing Bodies last night whose willy was obscured by similar (much LARGER!) Pouch o'Crepe. Was horrible.)

Boobs 40"
Waist 34"
Hips 40"

At least I'm horizontally symmetrical!

bobbiewickham · 27/03/2010 10:08

What am I in inches, then?

Bust - 92cm

Waist - 78cm

Hips- 98cm

Am a pear, evidently...

MamaGoblin · 27/03/2010 10:09

Actually, I think I prefer to write chest measurement as 'am wearing 36E bra'. Makes me sound a tad less matronly and milch-cow.

bobbiewickham · 27/03/2010 10:12

Right, am 36 bust
30 waist
38 hips.

Never known that about myself before...

MamaGoblin · 27/03/2010 10:13

Bobbie, according to my tape measure, flicked over, you are 36, 31, 38.5!

MamaGoblin · 27/03/2010 10:13

oops!

bobbiewickham · 27/03/2010 10:18

That's okay, I did one of those dodgy converter things on t'interweb.

We'll go with yours...

BariatricObama · 27/03/2010 10:18

my back is definitely smaller, bras fit better. sadly the barrel is clinging on for dear life.

dinkystinky · 27/03/2010 10:24

See that;s why I dont do measurements Bobbie - just work off scales and how clothes fit.

MamaGoblin · 27/03/2010 10:27

FWIW, since I started losing weight on WW from last november, I haven't noticed an appreciable loss of inches as my boobs and hips have remained the same (am still breastfeeding though, but only just - one a day if that) and have only lost an inch from waist. Total weight loss since Nov - 10 lb. Where is it coming off??

bobbiewickham · 27/03/2010 10:32

Maybe you have very skinny innards, Mama G

bobbiewickham · 27/03/2010 10:34

I mean MamaGoblin

MamaGoblin · 27/03/2010 10:42

I clearly have a sort of reverse TARDIS body - smaller on the inside.

MmeLindt · 27/03/2010 10:47

I DID IT

5km for the very first time in my life. I was Running for MacMillan.

Have you all donated?

bobbiewickham · 27/03/2010 10:53

WELL DONE!!!
