lulalullabye · 19/03/2010 18:04

Hello, can I join ? I am 10st 9lbs and 5ft3" so need to loose quite a bit. I need to be strict with myself more than anything.

Toots · 19/03/2010 18:05

Good work Coco.

Accidental glass of Rioja. Was lovely but feel seasick now as dinner not ready for 47 mins. Is a lamb tagine. Very easy. Smells brilliant. Is out of Anna Richardson body blitz books. Some good quick recipes in there.

duckyfuzz · 19/03/2010 18:58

god you lot are great, lg&t well done you, hope you feel suitably smug and inspired

I am 36c since we're asking, wedding weight a stone more than now

went for a run this pm, was ready for it and the minute dh got in from school I was off - would love to say like a greyhound from the trap, but more like a lame cat kicked out of the house

today - crispies, juice, oranges, apple, chicken salad, grapes, then post run it went down hill, nuts, wine, sausages, wedges, salad

also celebrating stressful work meeting actuaaly turning out in my favour

duckyfuzz · 19/03/2010 19:03

i'm 5'7 too, I'm hovering above su

YoginiBikini · 19/03/2010 19:21

Wow! Inspiration City!

I unfortunately am going to be held back on this thread and expect to still be here at Christmas too Moodlum.

I am still the same as last week!! Again! Fed up now.

I have masses to lose. I am not really massively massive but if we're talking wedding weights I was miniscule and spent most of my time in those days drinking Complan in addition to meals to help put the pounds on as I was constantly being told I looked too skinny. Skip on several years and masses of children. I would now like to focus on losing two stone. That will make me look healthy, my main goal - apart from looking better in most clothes of course

8lbs down since New Year, not much change lately. Any ideas?

fishie · 19/03/2010 19:22

noddy i'd have to chop a leg off to weigh the same as you.

SuSylvester · 19/03/2010 19:23

i think you need to have a look at

portion size

largeginandtonic · 19/03/2010 19:24

Lullabye we are almost the same then. I am being super strict.

I have a matini in hand though. I put 4 caper berries in it (1 f&v right?)

I feel like i have turned a corner. Not craving sweet stuff and not starving anymore. Will eat but don't feel like i am consumed by the need all the time.

Watching Glee. I LOVE it. Need the new series on America to start.

Fishie smoked scallops sound divine. Very healthy. Shellfish is very low calorie isn't it?

I love a glass of wine. Amnot buying it so i can't drink it. The beer (teeny tiny french beer bottles) in the fridge is leftover. The cocktail cupboard is always there. Well you would too if you had 7 children.

I need more snack ideas. Maybe a super healthy soup recipie too. Anyone have one they use and like?

SuSylvester · 19/03/2010 19:25

this is my soup

chop up one onion
one carrot
one leek
one parsnip
one small potato
soften
add water and two KNorr stock pots( chicken flavour)
simmmer

eat

NO POINTS ( really almsot)

SuSylvester · 19/03/2010 19:26

LGAT oyu will find snakcs go in week two iirc

braeburn apples - half a point

BariatricObama · 19/03/2010 19:27

su your soups sounds rather sad. add some parsley and maybe some pulses.

noddyholder · 19/03/2010 19:31

I sound slim but am thick around the middle from years of being on and off steroids! I have to be v careful as have arms legs and shoulders like alexa chung and a middle like bella emberg!I need to be about 9'3 to be ok in my clothes and not get a rollocking from my docs!

duckyfuzz · 19/03/2010 19:32

LG&T I recommend seeds for snacks - dry fry them for a couple of mins and add a splash of soy sauce, my fave combo is pumpkin, sunflower, a few pine nuts and fennel with chilli flakes to spice it up every now and then

cuttng out bread and booze have been the main factors in my weight loss and the sad fact is that I now know I can tolerate booze better than bread

largeginandtonic · 19/03/2010 19:34

As grim as they are i find eating the WW meals are a good way to 'learn' portion size.

A friend (next door neaighbour, she lurks but rarely posts) told me this. It is true. I just add a load of veg or salad to it.

She is dieting with me. Is 9st 6 and in a size 10. She complains of a spare tyre. I despair. She put on 2 lbs this week. We wii fit together. She eats cheese and bread and cake. Nuff said I see you...

YoginiBikini · 19/03/2010 19:37

You are definitely missing garlic and herbs and/or spices there Su, and maybe a handful or two of lentils or beans - but maybe that's where I go wrong ??

My portion sizes are not big. Seriously!

LGT did you used to be a glass of red??

largeginandtonic · 19/03/2010 19:41

That soup is just what i am going to make on Monday. A vat of it.

The seeds sound nice too. Could take them out with me to. I need easily transportable as am in and out all the time.

Fishie steroids are terrible. Poor you.

I have been on the mini pill since October. Stopped a month ago as i bled every day. In the end i was on 2 a day. I am sure that has affected my weight.

Yogi how many children? >

largeginandtonic · 19/03/2010 19:44

Nope always been lg&t. I want to be Mothersruin but someone has it. They ahve not posted in ages. I want it.

lulalullabye · 19/03/2010 19:53

lg&t, I cannot believe you have 7 children !!
Noddy, if only I could have slim arms and legs. I have been going to the gym to try and get rid of my lovely bingo wings, but have to do so much all the time to stop looking like Fatima Whitbread !!

I can run now, so will up the effort there and have just joined weightwatchers so fingers crossed.

SuSylvester · 19/03/2010 19:54

no id dont add anything else
the knorr stock pots are so chickeny and the end result is a classic chicken broth
