Kayzr · 16/02/2010 14:29

Thanks Laughalot. They are very cute most of the time.

I think I might train for a triathlon. I am stonkingly broody and I am hoping that training for a triathlon will take my mind of it, it will help me lose weight and once I have done it, it will be time for us to start ttc.

laughalot · 16/02/2010 14:33

We are sticking at 2 however we do have a ds and dd but im sure if dd had been a boy we still would have stuck at 2 lol. I get broody often but i got pre eclampsia with lauren so dont think i could put myself through it all again. Sorry if you thought i was being nosey i like reading peoples profiles lol.

MABS · 16/02/2010 18:16

Love the name Tabitha

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/02/2010 19:12

BEBE hope your soup is nice

i have just made a huge tin of roasted veg+chocken

so easy to make, literally i chopped bns+carot and roasted for 30mins,then i added peppers, courgette, chopped chicken and tin of toms and cooked for another 20mins

is is yummy, steaming and only 2.5p per serving

pancakes were yummy, well worth 4.5p at lunchtime

GettinTrimmer · 16/02/2010 19:27

Yes, we've had pancakes as well, the dc were all excited then wouldn't eat theirs!

Has anyone seen PBM? She's not been around these last couple of days, hopefully just busy.

Bebe/PBM/Foodfocusers Just out of interest, how many calories per day do you allow yourselves?

Kayzr You would use up an amazing amount of calories training for a triathlon, on foodfocus 60 mins of running at 10 minutes per mile would use up over 700 calories.

bebejones · 16/02/2010 19:35

Blondes - how did you find the betty pancakes? I thought they were disappointing! Very sticky & didn't flip at all well! Was almost in tears (how sad am I?!) Had been looking forward to them all day! DD enjoyed hers though, maybe I built them up too much in my mind lol

Trimmer - Foodfocus says I should be having at around 1600 calories (without exercise) but have to be honest I barely make it over 1200, but I don't feel hungry. Been eating porridge & soup alot, things that fill you up & staying away from 'empty' calories like cake & chocolate & crisps Also making sure I drink loads. Obviously if I do exercise I eat more!

Kayzr · 16/02/2010 19:38

I am going to die!!! I've just done 35 minutes on the wii fit. 10 minutes boxing, 10 running, 10 stepping and then 5 minutes trying to hula hoop.

I am exhausted and think I might die!!

arcticwind · 16/02/2010 21:30

Hi all

We had the Dr Oetker pancake mix and it was very disappointing - did not cook properly. Dh took over and whipped a batch of hte real stuff and they all had pancakes. I resisted thanks to the enormous pizza on Sunday. I plan toturn it into toad in the hole for ds tomorrow if it works!

Ds decided to turn his pancake into a 'pandog' by wrapping it round a sausage (he does not like sweet things); dd used up half a tin of golden syrup
Foot better thanks - twisted it 'falling' out of the front door but managed a long walk yesterday and lots of housework, plus a game of footie with ds today.

On food focus my calorie burn is 1634, and to lose 2lbs a week takes me down to about 635 so lots of exercise needed or very little food!!!

Am currently enjoying the football on my new sky HD box - amazing!

Poohbearsmom · 17/02/2010 00:23

Sorry not been on for a few days dealing with DS stomach upset. All better now though.

Hope everyone are doing well and well done on all the losses.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/02/2010 08:34

BEBE pancakes were yummy, and mr blondes is a tosser

a good one that is - i oiled the frying pan and then poured in batter, my 3 didnt stick and dh tossed well as well

sorry you didnt enjoy them, kwym when you are looking forward to something but it isnt as good as you expect

KAYZR well done on exercise,i went to gym and did my class of body combat (no semi naked men, tho was a 60ish male there)

ARTIC shame your batter wasnt any good either - must be all in the hand movement - it seems you lose a lot of cals/food to lose 2lbs, so would would it be for 1 lb a week on food focus?

PBM fab weight loss of 2lbs well done - i will update the list for you - and im in it till least july, maybe longer if still get get my blonde butt into my trousres - they once fitted so will again (hopefully)

your menu/days food seems fine to meal, lots of veg, protein etc

MUMMYMELS sorry to hear theres a bug in the house, hope ds feels better soon

im off out again for lunch it is very hard work bing a lady wot lunchs

my friend knows im on a diet, so hopefully she will cook something low in fat, doesnt help that she is a size 6/8, eats like a complete pig (like my dh) yet never puts on weight

have a good day all xx

Kayzr · 17/02/2010 08:49

Morning,

I was very naughty yesterday. I had 2 servings of Chilli and Rice. It was bloody gorgeous, my DH shouldn't be such a good cook. It took me 3 points over my allowance but I did get 6 activity points.

Just had crumpets and cheese for breakfast. I has low fat cheddar and it was vile. I had weighed myself 40g of it for 2.5pts and only ate 10g of it. Yuk!!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/02/2010 09:13

low fat cheese is rank,it doesnt melt and is a waste of points

GettinTrimmer · 17/02/2010 10:46

Hi ladies

Blondes Mr Trimmer is more of a flipper than a tosser I had the dregs of the mixture left at the bottom, so only about half a pancake for me.

I was confused by my weigh-in, so checked again today, I think it's more like put 1/2 lb on. No idea what's happening with AF and cycle these days as I have a mirena coil, don't seem to get much in the way of AF anymore, but hormones must still be up and down.

I've also seen threads saying that Mirena Coil may cause weight gain but don't think I can use that excuse. I am sure my weight gain is due partly to not doing exercise for ages and snacking.

PBM Nice to see you! Well done on your 2lb. Your diet sounds OK to me, you haven't cut any food groups out and going low cal.

Mummymels Welcome back! Glad your ds is better.

Kayzr Well done on the exercise, as for cheese, how about trying Edam? I think it would be lower in points than cheddar?

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/02/2010 10:55

edam is 3.5p for 40g where cheddar is 4.5g for 40g - thus saving 1p - low fat cheddar is 2.5p for 40p

but i find edam isnt that cheesey,i LOVE cheese but find its better to have none as the amount you get for the points is silly, and as i said low fat cheese doesnt taste or melt so again a waste of points

Poohbearsmom · 17/02/2010 11:20

Thank you very much for updating me Blondes think i was goin ott & cuttin out too many food groups i doin too many days as a lactose intolorent, ceoliac, vegan... having blood tests tomoro as g.p thinks i might b anemic, always deathly pale but da wierd bruising which is takin way to long to heal is da odd thing... dh went & got loads of meat &spinach, my sis says quorn altho high n protein has no iron i had bn havin it n place of eggs meat or fish or even pulses most days & i thought i was doin good but cud hav bn doin damage Trimmer iv mirena to & hav read a good bit bout weight gain but even if it was responsible for a few lbs i know most certainly im the cause of the rest but il b da 1 who shifts it too

GettinTrimmer · 17/02/2010 13:04

I find eggs are my friend atm PBM - they are quite low in calories, full of protein and iron. I whip myself up an omelette with spray oil and have boiled eggs with soldiers.

Your GP would know, but I seem to remember from somewhere that bruises can appear if you're anemic (check though, maybe I'm wrong). If you are anemic, when I was pregnant I had an iron tonic from Holland & Barret which worked for me better than iron tablets, they upset my stomach. Good luck with blood test tomorrow.

Poohbearsmom · 17/02/2010 13:42

Thanks Trimmer i used to take spatone when preg but it was a bit vile, might hav a look for ur tonic instead. Think ur spot on with the eggs wil hav to hav more & thanks to a tip from another thread my boys now eat omlettes (but called pancakes )

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/02/2010 15:38

PBM does sound as if you could be anemic - hope blood tests at gps rule this out or make gp aware so you can get some iron tablets etc

eat green leafy veg, spinach, curlykale, brocolli and make sure you are having milk/yog etc

my friend , god bless her, made homemade bns/sweet pot+leek soup- it was SCRUMMY and i worked it out about 2p per bowl - had with squidgy bread rolls and butter - but was cant beleive its butter

i was just re reading thread no 1, and thought how many people said, yes yes yes, want to lose weight/join, yet 6weeks later, the list has shrunk big time

just wanted to say i am so proud of us all for keeping up with the diet plan (whatever we are doing)

bebejones · 17/02/2010 19:34

Blondes - Did you roasted BNS & veg this evening! YUM! Really enjoyed it!

PBM - If you have a glass of Orange Juice with iron rich meals it helps ur body absorb he iron better!

Had no time to exercise last 2 days! This is becoming my biggest problem & probably why I'm staying around the same weight! MUST TRY HARDER!!!!!

bebejones · 17/02/2010 19:36

Ooops - Blondes did obviously not roast you! But did do your roasted BNS & veg!!

Kayzr · 18/02/2010 08:15

Morning,

I am exhausted. I didn't sleep well last night and I really fancy some fattening food. So will have to just try to avoid all bad food.

Plus I am at the dentist at 10 and I hate the dentist.

Poohbearsmom · 18/02/2010 08:36

Do not let the stress get to you kay, everytime ya even think about reaching for something you know will make you fat just think of us and how proud we all are of you & everyone else for sticking with it good luck with da dentist

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/02/2010 08:43

BEBE hope you didnt spit roast me - we are not on the sexual threads you know

KAYZR i also slept badley - hence why up and awake at 8.30 on my day off - hope dentist goes well

im seing one of my oldest friends today and my godsons - poor them having blondes as a fairy godmother

i said i would take lunch, so taking ww onion/goats cheese pizza and salad - so will be under points (hopefully) today

at gym later tonight doing body combat, then the dreaded weigh in for me tomorrow

i hope to stay the same, with valentines day 9and the piggy i was) plus eating out lunch every day this week apart from tuesday - but i fear I may have gained

have a good day all
