Afternoon ladies

bebe hope your dd gets over her cold quickly - Just had my ds off sick yesterday with a sore throat, alot of it about, when I helped in dd's class last week, every other child seemed to have one.

I decided not to have the swine flu jab for dd because she was almost 5 (I understand after 5 it is not offered) and we had to travel to the West Midlands the following week and didn't want to risk any sniffles.

mummymels I had a quick look on the La Senza website, looks like they go up to a GG cup now, also had some offers on.

Blondes Very well done!! I did suspect you'd be OK because of the exercise. I'll be happy with 1lb on Monday. Fingers crossed.

Trimmer - thanks! She is absolutely fine in herself & has had a runny nose for months (teething), she only seems to cough at night. GP looked her over & said she thought it was probably over with & on the way out now. So we went swimming & she was fine. She hasn't coughed since breakfast at all! Maybe she just likes keeping us all awake at night?!

Hello all, only just been able to get on to ssay that after last week's disappointing sts, I lost 5lbs this week! Taking me to 15lbs lost altogether, I am well chuffed! I think the sts must have been time of the month water retention.

It's really spurred me on, I am desperate for the next stone to come off now!

Well done and keep it up everyone, have only skimmed the thread, but it all seems very positive

On my lunch yesterday i thought i would go into debenhams and try a size 14 jeans on, i could have cried i fitted into them yippeeee not been a 14 for ages.

Bebe- Your poor DD sounds in the wars. I hope it?s not related and that it just passes soon. They always seem to get so many colds don?t they. Is DD at daycare or nursery at all because when my DS first started nursery he kept getting colds when he hadn?t really had them before.

Mum2OliNoandJess ? have a lovely birthday and forget the diet until Monday. Sorry, not a very good influence am I.

Mels - no she is at home with me mostly, we go to toddler groups & things but she just seems to be ill all the time. I think it's because she doesn't eat well, she is very fussy! I'm sure she lives on toast, yoghurt & bananas! GP today advised me to get her some multivitamins to try & see if it makes any difference. Just hoping these last teeth hurry up & then maybe she won't be so snotty! Hope your DS is over his sickness soon!

looking at the list some of you are hitting the stone mark now. so well done. Can we get a poll on your diet types i mean is it WW or no carb etc. might give us floundering a bit of inspirations.

I don't know if this is any help, but...

I wrote down 10 tips for losing weight after watching a BBC programme last year, they were all supposed to be scientifically tested. Just in case they are any help to us, here they are:

1 Don'tmissmeals - or you end up being very hungry and eating more.

2 Haveasmallerplate* - then you think you're eating more.

3 Countyourcalories - just in case you eat more than you think.

4 Don'tblameyourmetabolism* - the programme featured a comedienne, don't know her name, but she was convinced she's overweight because of her metabolism. But she just ate very large portions even though it was a healthy diet.

5 Proteinstavesoffhungerpangs - hence the success of Atkins, etc. The presenter on the programme had eggs and beans for breakfast every morning and ate less at lunch time, which helped with weight loss.

6 Soupkeepsyoufeelingfuller for longer* - one group of squaddies had a chicken/rice/veg meal, another had exactly the same liquidised into soup. The soup eaters took longer to digest their meals and were fuller for longer.

7 Thewiderthechoicethemoreyoueat* - typically when faced with a buffet!

8 Lowfatdairyhelpsyougetridofmore fat - can't remember much about this, but there was some experiment they did.

9 Exercisegoesonburningfatevenwhen you'reasleep* - Just makes our bodies more effective at burning calories.

10 Keepmovingandloseweight - not rocket science here, but if we walk up the stairs more often, stand up more often, walk more, etc, etc, without doing any extra exercise this will have an effect. They did this with someone who tried this and she lost weight.

I'm not doing anything specific diet wise, DH was going to start slimming world but hasn't yet! ( so much for losing 10 stone this year) Just calorie counting basically & avoiding eating bread (my biggest downfall.....mmmmmmmm bread ) it appears to be working!

I will not have lost on Monday. My period has arrived 4 days early and I feel really sick. I also feel the weight of a baby rhino.

Bebe its hard when ur other half isnt dieting or doesnt eat particularly healthy it makes it harder on us havin tempting food around & ya dont want them to think they hav2 diet jus cause u r, even tho itd b way better for them if they did too... men r tricky i think ya hav2 keep planting seeds wit them & make them think these were their ideas hope ur dh decides to do sumit soon i know i feel sooooo much better since i did! oh & mum2oli im using foodfocus & these guys to loose the weight & im doin Rosemary Conley dvd too & altho i do sometimes think i see lil red horns poppin outa her lil boppin head she is def doin her job & not only always has da sweat rollin off me but also had it rollin off my fit 18yo lil sis are u findin it a bit tough at da mo mum2oli?

Hi guys

Just popping by to say I'm really nervous, i'm at my SW meeting at 10.30 and it's been 3 weeks since I was weighed there and I know I've put on loads!

I'm so hungover aswell. I went out last night with my Sister, she's gone back to Oz today so had a few bottles of bud. I think, by my scales I've put on 4lbs.

I'll get back on the wagon tomorrow (have an engagement pary tonight) I promise.

didnt get home till 8ish last night and was shattered from work, so ordered a chinese that is meant to be my treat for tonight

I had chicken balls and noodles (normal and within my points) then i stole ate dh shredded duck pancake roll 7.5p per pancake,i also had some dark chocolate and some honey covered nuts

i was weak and now think bollocks why did i do that

im off to the gym in a moment (as normal) and will REALLY work hard

not sure what to have tonight now

i want a nice meal but then dh is taking me out tomorrow as well for valentines day

think today may be o point soup

I am having tomorrow off the diet and I don't care about my diet for that 1 day so we can have a nice and very yummy meal.

Monday I will be back to normal and dieting again.

ActuallyBeOnThePiste very shortly, and we are all very excited indeed. We are going to Austria, loads of snow and lovely nom noms!!

Am weighing in today, then will be back a week on Monday. Good luck everyone for the next weigh in, we are all doing so well.

I will need to regather my momentum after our holidays, because this was my initial target date, to lose a stone plus before we went skiing. My next target will be the Sport Relief mile in March. I don't want to lug too much lard around in public!!

Am delighted to have lost 2lbs this week, which meant ducking under into the next stone, which is always a great feeling.

I'm so ashamed {whispers} I've put on 6lbs I've got to be super good now, I would really like 3 to come off this week (I am on AF ATM)

I need a new goal. I think 1st4lbs by May 9th (going to MIL 70th birthday 'do' at the races) and I've got nothing planned in between now and then... Next holiday is June 5th, going to Austria....

I have just been winging it this week really, no foodfocus but more exercise, but have been avoiding stuff I shouldn't eat apart from a couple of lapses. Everything crossed for Monday, on the week I didn't lose this was what I was doing.

PBM Yes, agree it's hard when other half not dieting, dh munches crisps in the evening, he's a bit put out I am not buying peanut atm.

Blondes At the beginning of your weighing in week imo you can get away with the takeaways etc.

Kayzr I think we are more likely to stick to this if we have days off here and there, so enjoy.

Piste Have a great holiday, my lovely friend who's been ill lately has just texted me to say she's on her way to Heathrow for a surprise trip somewhere (No kids!) doesn't know where she's going - for her and!

PBM my dh is the same, eats complete crap and never puts on weight - so unfair he then offers to make me tea and say makes a shepherds pie,but mash is full of butter, so i cant eat it

so at the moment we tend to cokk/eat what we both want, but eat together iyswim

trimmer true, tho a few weeks ago i ate a huge curry on thursday and had lost weight on friday

no rhymne or reason

saying that valentines day and half term are not good combinations - im off work but meeting a few friends i havent seen for while on different days, so there will be a lot of lunching going on lol

been to sains after gym and have a huge dish of 0 point veg cooking in oven, bns, peppers,onions+carrots, 10mins to end i will empty a tin of chopped toms+herbs and have with a pitta bread so a 2.5p lunch to try and reign some points back in

Well done Piste! Jodie I think you can be let off a slip up like that on account of the poorly arm & holiday! Back on it after the weekend!

Caved and bought a yummy valentines meal deal thingy for 2moro night. Gonna have to be v good today & try and be restrained during the day 2moro. Chocolate tortes for dessert 2moro, can't wait!

Is gonna be a bad week, almost certain I have gained. Feeling very bloated but AF due this week coming. Also pancake day this week & off to my mums Thurs & school reunion in posh restaurant on Sat! Going to try drink loads of water & do as much exercise as I can fit in!
