How much has everyone got to lose? I am 10 stone 7 and want to get down to 8 stone 13 as I was between 8 stone 9 and 9 stone at my 12 week MW check with DS. I am 5 foot 3 BTW.

Am at my own target but would like to get down another half a stone to be a comfy size 12. I would be in the 11 stones then

shortandsweet2 · 03/03/2010 14:02

Hi everyone I have just joined SW today and was wondering if anyone could explain the extra easy plan to me?

StrawberriesAndCherries · 03/03/2010 14:47

Hi shortandsweet2 welcome!

Whatever is free on either plan you can combine so for example lean meat is free on red and pasta is free on green so you can have both in a meal and have as much as you want on extra easy.

Then instead of 2 options As and 2 option Bs you only have one of each.

Now i have got into it I have found it "extra easy" and it restarted my weight loss.

Hope you get on ok

shortandsweet2 · 03/03/2010 17:17

Thanks for that strawberries, the book doesn't explain it really well.

I take it you have to do 3 meals per day and snacks would be fruit or veg? is that right?

What happens if one of your meals in the day is either green or red, does it matter when you are doing the extra easy?

StrawberriesAndCherries · 03/03/2010 17:40

You can have a green meal or red if you like but am pretty sure as soon as you combine you have to cut back on the Healthy Extras. I often do a green day then an EE day, seems to suit me.

Snacks of yoghurts, fruit etc and you can still have up to 15 syns a day

shortandsweet2 · 04/03/2010 06:54

Thanks strawberries that explains it very well

That link to the onion soup is fab, thanks nappy.

Can someone tell me if I am using the stns calculator properly please.

Basically I put in the nutrition info per 100g and then put in the portion size I am going to eat at the bottom-is that right?

So if I have a 120g sauce sachet I put in the details per 100g and then put 60g in the per serving/portion box.

Its confusing me so much and I keep getting different results whichever way I do it!

nappyaddict · 04/03/2010 19:15

Found this too

nappyaddict · 04/03/2010 21:10

Does anyone know of any recipes for syn free or low syn steak sauces apart from peppercorn or mushroom?

BethAndHerBrood · 04/03/2010 21:18

Can someone with the password help me please. I've bought some veggie sausages from tesco, cheese and sundried tomato, can anyone find the syn value for me?

Thanks.

I've been to the G.P's today, and registered with the practice nurse about my weight. I can go to the gym for a much reduced rate, and go and get weighed. I think it will be a real help. I hope so anyway.

nappyaddict · 04/03/2010 21:21

BTW if anyone is looking for a low fat cheese I have tried the Morrison's Eat Smart Greek one and it's only 2 syns for 28g and the Eat Smart mature cheese is 3.5 syns.

Are there any free low fat yoghurts, apart from mullers? I've just had a tesco one, it was yummy, but 3.5 syns!! Too much for a yoghurt, I think! The mullers are so expensive unless they're on offer, I'm trying to find something cheaper. I'm trying to start eating breakfast every day, and a yogurt and a banana is all I can face!

tullytwo · 08/03/2010 12:14

The M & S count on us (or something like that) ones are free as far as I know-not sure how they compare on price tho.

Casserole · 08/03/2010 16:27

Hi ladies Just starting out on SW over here.

I just read elsewhere that you can get 12 weeks free if referred by your GP - anyone know if this scheme is running in Herts? You have to wait a week for a GP appt at my surgery and I don't want to waste their time if they don't.... I figured someone here might know!

StrawberriesAndCherries · 08/03/2010 23:12

The shape yoghurts and fatfree activia ones are all free Beth

shortandsweet2 · 09/03/2010 07:17

Sainsburys also do there own verson of mullerlights which are 3 for £1 and are free.

On the EE between meals I take it you can't have something like a bit of ham it has to be something that is free on both green and red days?

Casserole - I think you can get the free 12wks if you haven't been to a slimming class in possibly 6mths and if you have already joined you also wouldn't be able to get it. Make an appointment with your doctor or just call your surgery to see what the criteria is

I made the free rice pudding that was in that link from nappy it was very yummy, I am going to make the chocolate muffins later.

shortandsweet2 · 09/03/2010 08:30

Also can I ask what you have for breakfast, I have been having fruit and yoghurt due to limitations at work. Looking for inspiration
