oinker · 04/11/2008 18:27

Just seen this advertised in National Press.

Has anyone ever tried it?

Is it pricey?

More to the point, Does it really work?

I'm intrigued..... I had never heard of this programme before...

Hi
I am new to this site and wanted some advice about the allizonne diet - I really want to do this but the cost is a big thing in making my decision. I am also worried about what happens when the diet finishes I have read loads of good things and wondered if anyone has put the weight back on. I did the lighterlife diet about 4 years ago and put the weight back on.
I have read all the threads on here about it and they mostly sound very positive.

ZAK08 · 04/07/2011 14:09

Hi All
Good to read all these snippets of information about the Alizonne Programme. I have an appointment with the consultant in a couple of weeks so hope to get kick started into it then. Is anyone else starting about now in London? How many Phases is the programme set it. I have read about Phase 8 somewhere.

Good luck to everyone

ZAK08 Hello i start next week i am going in to london on saturday for my consultation and my bloods then i should start on tuesday it would be nice to know some one that is starting at the same time as me. So let me know when you start.

ZAK08 · 05/07/2011 11:11

Hi supermummy.

My consultation is not until the 29th July and I have my bloods the same day so will probabaly be starting on the 1st August. Good luck with your consultation and I agree its nice to know someone else who is starting at around the same time. keep in touch and would be nice to hear how you get on

supermummmy · 07/07/2011 18:56

yes it would be i have been wanting to do this for a long time and it took me almost two years to put away extra funds i just keep gaining a lot of weight since i had lipo 2 and a half years ago it totally messed me up what i should have done is this diet first i am tired all the time depressed and i do not go to social functions because i have gained so much weight so fast i am now around 14 stones 5 lbs i refuse to weigh as i think it best when i go to my consultation i find out what the damage is and get busy and focused and sort it out i am only 36 and look 45. So as you can guess i am so looking forward to finding my self again. I know that i had a eating issue and i was in a abusive relationship for ten years on and off where my self esteem was crushed so ton forget it i took up eating as my solution to help me forget the pain that i was put through. i really need this thank. I feel so low at times i hope that there is a therapist there as when i stop eating i have flash back. oh my gosh i am a real mess. my body has been destroyed Sad.

We are in this together :-)

supermummmy · 08/07/2011 08:04

Thanks ZAKO8 i know for a fact that the clinic is getting so busy now and that some are so busy that hey have stop taking on clients and are sending them to other clinics so this diet seems to be very popular. I found out about it on the Internet as it is as not well advertised as the other diets such as weight watchers and the another diets that are out there at the moment , what drew me to it is that you are given a tool to keep the weight off such as the test that tells you your calorie allowance for the day and if you keep with in this allowance you will keep the weight off ,so its like the diet gives you a new start you lose all your weight and your skin will look great and then you start to eat healthy exercise and be the true person that you are meant to be. Also as you have paid your 100 pounds ask them if you can have the pass word to the forum its really great and there is so much info. as i will be starting before you i hope that we may see each other at the clinic i weighed and i am 14 stones so i want to lose and will lose 3 stones 7lbs that should bring me down to 10 stones 7lbs. How much do you have to lose.

ZAK08 · 08/07/2011 08:55

Hi Supermummy. yes I have heard that the waiting list is getting longer and they are making referrals to other clinics. I agree that the incentive is that you get the constant medical guidance and the fact that you you are paying £200 per week it is a major incentive and you cant le it fail. I have about 4-5 stones to lose. i havent weighed myself for a while so I am sure it will not be a shock when I get to the clinic. I will ask for the password for the patient forum.
I actually heard it from a colleague at work and when I saw him weeks later he looked great. he has lost about 2 stone on the diet and will be progressing to Phase II shortly. he has said just follow it and the rest just happens :-)
I have already dreamt about going clothes shopping and not being a planned nightmare!!!

Lindylou2 · 08/07/2011 20:39

Hi summergirl123 did you start the diet at Southampton as I am thinking of going there.

ZAK08 · 09/07/2011 21:36

Hi Supermummy
How was your 1st appointment

supermummmy · 10/07/2011 17:42

well i went to the london clinic and it went well. I took a test that you have to have a clipper on your nose and you have to breath through your mouth into a machine this lasts for ten minutes.then i was given my results which was 1740,then saw the doctor who told me how long it would take to do the diet which is 16 weeks and then decided where i was going to have the ultra sound. i will be having it on my7 inner thighs and my back for the first four weeks then i will move it to my belly and another area after. i will be booking my appointment to start on monday when they get the bloods back.i just hope that they are not booked up and i have to wait forever.i am 14 stones 1 lb and to get down to 10 st 4lbs.

ZAK08 · 14/07/2011 07:20

lulu1010 - Which clinic do you go to?

Gem194 - 9lbs is fantastic well done. How long have you been on the plan.

popsycat · 21/07/2011 20:37

Gem194 · 27/07/2011 09:36

when i lost the 9lb it was week 10, only lost 1lb last week- so very dissapointed with that - i guess it all relative though! only 6 months to go....

supermummmy · 27/07/2011 17:29

I start on friday so happy put it a week forward as i need to start now. Will come on here at first every other day then every week to give you guys a update.

sunnysam1 · 27/07/2011 18:05

Hi all, my hubby and I are both doing the Alizonne diet together...talked about it loads and decided with the reduction in food costs and alcohol and by saving like crazy, it will be a worthwhile investment. We had our doctors consultation yesterday and are starting properly on saturday! cant wait, although he only needs to lose 3stone and will be done in 8weeks, I need to lose 4 stone and need 14 weeks!! wheres the justice lol!
Never mind I have been carrying this weight around for 13 years now since I had my daughter, and feel sure 14 weeks of strict eating will be be sooooo worth it!!!

Ive read a few comments on th thread and have been quite cross at some comments that suggest its an expensive and ? effective, well I am a health professional and have researched this diet thoroughly and it does require full commitment, however the process works if you stick to it.
Sorry for that little rant - needed to get it off my chest ;-)
we are in the wilmslow clinic, and they do seem friendly, so here goes!!

ZAK08 · 28/07/2011 17:39

I have my consultation with the doctor tomorrow so hoping that I can make a start as soon as the blood tests come back and is well.

I am joining the London clinical

I agree with Sunnysam losing the weight will be so worth it. I am exited

Shall be on everyday to review comments and would be great to read any tips the group can provide and also to motivate one another

supermummmy · 29/07/2011 20:22
