Enid, hope you don't mind but I need help! Will be good tomorrow, posted my disastrous day on the other thread so this one is full of shiny good intentions...welcome fellow fatties

yay fio thats fantastic

I did snack at tea: quarter of a fishcake, five chips and lots of broccoli that I put soy sauce on. Broccoli doesnt count though.

dh just rung to inform me that he is taking some clients out 'for a drink' - so he won't be home for supper I expect. THAT MEANS I CAN EAT THE LAMBS LIVER IN MY FRIDGE - he hates it, I love it, especially fried with a bit of bacon...stop me now...

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 25/01/2005 19:05

Enid Put down the bacon and WALK AWAY! Suspect I'm too late though.

HeyEnidYouveLostWeight · 25/01/2005 19:55

No, I am making the pork fillets, they are simmering away on the hob now so I can feel all virtous when dh gets home.

I need savoury snacks! Actually I probably need to eat earlier - we eat quite late but I am at my most hungry at 7-ish.

lowcalCOD · 25/01/2005 20:44

fio go to the top of the class

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 25/01/2005 21:52

Dp reckons I'm not doing enough exercise and he's probably right. so the plan tomorrow is that he looks at the scales when I weigh myself (I don't as it will demotivate me if I haven't lost anything) and then I walk ds to school and pick him up the rest of this week. Dp will then weigh me on Monday and tell me if I've lost anything. Sounds stupid I know but if I find I haven't lost anything I will just go and buy a bar of chocolate.

OP posts:
FineFigureFio · 26/01/2005 06:41

hehehe never been top of the class before

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 26/01/2005 09:28

Yay! I have lost weight! Another 4lbs in the last 2 weeks, so 10lb in total since Jan 5th. I am so pleased. Dp wasn't going to tell me but I made him, ooh, I feel newly incentivised Had a poussin last night in front of celeb fit club.

OP posts:
iota · 26/01/2005 09:42

wwww that's really good - you seem to lose in big drops - I lose slowly - probably because I'm not strict enough.

lowcalCOD · 26/01/2005 10:49

www 10 lbs in great! still no booze? current withgt is?

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 26/01/2005 10:50

Not ginving weight (nice try!) but yep, still no booze since Jan 5th.

OP posts:
HeyEnidYouveLostWeight · 26/01/2005 10:51

I did weigh myself but in my clothes and after breakfast (why???) and I STILL weighed 10 11 so presume I have lost.

Will do it properly tomorrow

HeyEnidYouveLostWeight · 26/01/2005 10:52

oh cool wwww thats fantastic!

More of your eating diary please, I love it

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 26/01/2005 12:23

Enid, ha ha at your liking my eating diary, I'm glad it amuses you! It is massively helping me to be obsessive and report on this thread so I will continue!

Today
1 piece toast, olive spread, marmite
1 apple
half an avocado
50g smoked salmon ()
4 of those small pomodoro tomatoes
Don't know what we're having tonight but I have red green and yellow peppers that need using. Any ideas? Or I might do a veg biryani and sling them in that, as I also need to use up some sweet potatoes.

OP posts:
HeyEnidYouveLostWeight · 26/01/2005 12:38

I'm doing a big veg minestrone tonight with some crusty bread for dh, you could do that.

Have just made the muffins from Sunday Times GI diet and....well I have made more successful cakes in my time. The mixture tasted great but the muffins cooked for 20 mins, came out looking good, I let them cool (slightly) and tipped them out onto a rack - they collapsed and poured molten blueberries everywhere

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 26/01/2005 12:39

Oh no! So you'd better eat them then?

OP posts:
HeyEnidYouveLostWeight · 26/01/2005 12:42

have eaten practically all of the bottoms, that was all that was left

iota · 26/01/2005 12:58

I've just been to Tescos for the weekly shop - it's torture when you're trying to diet.

I've bought some lemon 'infusion' to try and cut down on my tea and coffe intake - am sipping it now and it's rather pleasant.

iota · 26/01/2005 13:00

and Enid , dh made some banana muffins from teh GI recipe, unfortunately didn't have the low cal substitutes, so used sugar etc. They were a bit flat - not much top over the paper case, but tasted good.

FineFigureFio · 26/01/2005 14:16

well done wwww !

I will go and look in my ww book see if there are any good recipes for you

lowcalCOD · 26/01/2005 17:33

have had a lovely day
all boys out all day so I cleaned then decided I deserved a facial afetr all the ill boys here so had one of those was just "coming around" when dh rang ans ( shock horror) propsed lunch! ( quick das hinto debenhams to sneak make up on from lancome counter)Very unusual. so we went out to lunch then went to a kitchen show room where we indulged in kitchen porn. have seen one we like.

iota · 26/01/2005 17:39

hello lowcal - was lunch low cal?

HeyEnidYouveLostWeight · 26/01/2005 17:52

what a lovely day cod

Have had good day but bad diet day. After losing a battle with the blueberry muffins it has gone downhill.

porridge
liver casserole, salad, new potatoes
the equivalent of three or four blueberry muffins (in bits so can't be sure )
bite of sausage, five pieces of penne mixed with peas (dds supper)
tonight dh is cooking () penne with sausage, basil and cream and mustard - from the Nigel 'heavy on the cream and butter' Slater cookbook.

oh dear.

lowcalCOD · 26/01/2005 17:53

ahem sorry iota?

HeyEnidYouveLostWeight · 26/01/2005 17:53

am hoping as each muffin is designated 'one snack' (you are allowed three a day) on the Times GI diet that they won't be toooooo calorific...

lowcalCOD · 26/01/2005 17:54

fat bloater
