I'm going to my first WW meeting tonight since before Christmas: I'm dreading it (have lost a bit of my pig out over Christmas weight but not all of it). Wish me luck....

flatmouse · 24/01/2005 16:24

Feeling rather proud of a 3lb loss this week - altho to be fair, most likely due to being sick on thursday, nausea and loss of appetite. But still - 3lbs is 3lbs!

Hope min-cods are feeling better.

crunchie · 24/01/2005 17:06

I'll post tomorrow as I am hoping NOT to have gained on holiday. Been V V good today so far, but hunger is now kicking in so I'd better drink a couple of glasses of water to help get to 6pm.

I have had
1 apple
1 banana (small)
1 buch grapes (large handful)
Box veggie stick
pack tiger prawns with 1/2 tbsp chilli sauce for dipping
1 lt water so far.

Tonight will be a ready meal and LOADS of steamed veggies and a muller yoghurt.

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 24/01/2005 17:19

Well done flatmouse! Marthamoo, good luck for tonight. I've had

2 apples
2 handfuls of grapes
1 pack sesame snaps
50g smoked salmon
half an avocado
150g bowl of peas
5 pistachios
1mm of crackling from the pork (dp handed it to me, all hot from the oven, I wanted to rip the rest off but didn't)
1 bite of dd's rice cake (she offered it, bless her)
mounthful toast and marmite (also offered by dd so with added slobber)
tonight salmon steak with roasted veg, have just chopped carrots, broccoli, onions and put them in to roast. Had to use some olive oil but didn't put much in.

OP posts:

I've been good all day but am cooking roast beef - didn't get round to it yesterday and can't let it go to waste .
I must make sure I eat lots of veg and no roasties

HeyEnidYouveLostWeight · 24/01/2005 19:36

farmer from up the road has just delivered half a lamb - loads of chops, a leg, a fatty breast (mmmm so good casseroled for hours) and loads of other bits - what is he trying to do to me??

emmatmg · 24/01/2005 19:58

still lurking on here girls.....I've still not had any bread, well apart from bits forced upon me by DS3, actually the thought of eating a whole slice of bread and butter now makes me feel quite sick. I'm also still eating loads more friut and veg

But have been really really bad though, it's just as well I resigned as coddy would be after my blood

2 creme eggs and a little tube of cadbury mini eggs.

There is no hope for me........I just can't survive without chocolate. It was creme eggs that broke me last year too........ba$tard things!!!

Confession over from me.

Well done everyone

HeyEnidYouveLostWeight · 24/01/2005 20:06

wwww your food intake makes me pmsl

motherinferior · 24/01/2005 20:10

lurk lurkety lurk - sodding no booze rule may be good for me, but it hasn't done the job.

Not going to tell you what I ate today because I have quite a lot of breakfast and you'll all tell me off

HeyEnidYouveLostWeight · 24/01/2005 20:15

big breakfast is good though MI

motherinferior · 24/01/2005 20:28

Well, then, I had: two pieces of wholemeal organic toast, with a very small amount of melted blue cheese on, and an apple, and some orange juice, and an espresso

[then I walked with the kids two-thirds of a mile to the childminder, and walked quickly back]

More espresso, and a banana

A low-fat Rachel's fruity yogurt

[then I cycled a couple of miles, swam a mile, and cycled home]

Broccoli, green beans and (tinned Alaskan) salmon with ginger, garlic, soy sauce, tabasco and a bit of sesame oil

Five dried apricots and a sprinkling of walnuts

An orange.

[then I walked quickly to get the girls and back with them]

And now I'm going to eat - ahem - a bit of hummus and some pitta bread and olives and possibly some chopped up fennel too. If I can get off MN in my lethargic state.

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 25/01/2005 08:26

MI, you sound like Nigella! It all sounds very healthy to me, esp the exercise. Enid, are you laughing at my obsessive detail?! I also ate a caramel rice cake and some grapes last night

I put a skirt on this morning that I swear was loose last week and isn't now and I'm feeling a bit despondent. I have tried to tell myself that maybe I've lost it from my face or something but it's made me feel disheartened, I want instant results dammit! Although I know that's not the way to do it. I can't bear to weigh myself in case I haven't lost anything. This is day 20 with no booze, surely I will have lost in a couple of weeks. When do you think I should ask for a thyroid test? Or am I being neurotic?

Emma, am extremely envious of the mini choc eggs, they are 15 cals each. I know this because I lingered over them at a service station on Sunday but went for 200cal Quavers instead (only a massive pack of eggs for sale and I knew I'd eat them ALL).

hiya all

I was 11.5 this moring, so have lost 5 lb in 3 weeks - despite going off the rails over the weekend.

So far today I have had one slice of wholemeal bread with low fat soft cheese and 2 x cups of tea. I just couldn't face museli again - struggled to eat it yesterday

marthamoo · 25/01/2005 10:16

Well, I went. I am 3.5 lbs over my goal weight - but as I was 3lbs under my goal weigh before Christmas that means I have put on 6.5lbs. Which isn't so bad!

We went to the pub afterwards and I had a couple of bottles of Bud...but no crisps!

This morning I have had poached egg on toast (no butter). And I am making turkey and cranberry burgers for dinner (it's a WW recipe). And no more booze 'til the weekend!

iota · 25/01/2005 10:21

That's not so bad Marthamoo- I put on around 5 lb at christmas and have manage to lose it in 3 weeks without being totally strict with myself

chocfreeclary · 25/01/2005 10:48

hiya all, been a bit poorly in my house so not online lately.
Monday is weigh in day and I was 10 7 yesterday (same as last week grr)
today have eaten 1 crumpet with tiny bit of butter, one banana and two satsumas.
lunch will be jacket spud and salad.
tea could be bad as we are off to kiddies party post-school and I have made the biscuits...
had a bad weekend - too much snacking when I'm cooking is my worst vice.

weightwatchingwaterwitch · 25/01/2005 15:44

I just lost it and ate lots of crackling from the pork. Oh well, it's been a very bad day. I also had comforting toast and marmite (not butter, olive spread) and a pork sandwich for lunch. I did weigh the pork that time, it was 100g. Plus have had 2 caramel snack a jacks, some grapes and an apple.

OP posts:
HeyEnidYouveLostWeight · 25/01/2005 15:52

wwww, no smoked salmon ?

maybe you'll have shocked your system so much that you will lose

I am not weighing myself now until Friday morning. I was 10 11 AGAIN this am.

So far:
porridge, apple, nectarine
sandwich at lunch - working lunch and someone bought them in so had to eat them, otherwise would have looked obsessive and weird.
lots of cups of tea.
tonight, pork fillet with loads of green veg (again from sunday times GI diet mag).

I must say I don't feel very hungry today so hopefully not too much snacking at kids tea time.

bundle · 25/01/2005 15:53
