Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT!⭐️ Slimmimg September 2025⭐️

⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Where did September go? There is a definite chill in the air some mornings now 🥶 I always feel when October is here it’s the start of the 12 week countdown to Christmas!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m mainly maintaining but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞(I briefly dipped into the 8’s last month but the scale showing 9st 1lb this morning)

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

Oh dear.... despite a well behaved day food wise....I've just come home From an evening out where I had all the sweets and all the wine (feeling a bit woozy 🫣 given I don't really drink much!!)
oh well. Tomorrow is a new day and I had a great evening!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 29/10/2025 05:54

Morning! WoW is 72.7, so I’m starting and ending the month the exact same weight. I have had a very difficult few days though with next to no sleep so I’m happy enough.

biscuitcat · 29/10/2025 06:44

Morning all! As expected I’m up this week - currently 2.5lbs (😳) but I think/hope some of that will disappear fairly rapidly. I’m giving myself until Friday for an October result, but I’m currently 1lb less than I was at the start of the month so the trend is still in the right direction despite the week not being quite so good! In its way this week has been a useful exercise as all the snacking and not balancing higher calorie meals with lighter ones is basically how I was eating when I gained so much weight, and seeing how quickly that can happen is eye opening.

PatienceOfEngels · 29/10/2025 06:46

First wow for weeks ......74.5kg!! 🎉 I've been trying to get under 75kg since the beginning of September. Now just need to hold onto this for the coming week and set a new target. My weight at the beginning of October was 76.8kg (post trip the the UK) and have had another UK trip in the middle with a slew of birthdays. So that's minus 2.3kg this month (although only -1kg on the beginning of September).

CW 74.5kg
SW 77kg (August 2025 and October 2022 which tells you something about the yoyo trajectory I've been on the last 3 years!)
GW 68kg (healthy BMI below 25)

Trying to empty out the freezer a bit as DH is buying a big batch of ribs this weekend. Dinner tonight is beef rendang with rice and peas. Will get some more spiced pumpkin soup out the freezer for lunch.

Trying to get the house tidy and chip away at all the stuff that needs donating and selling. I'm fed up of living surrounded by piles of stuff. Sorted out my bedroom at ;east superficially yesterday. Now need to go through each drawer/cupboard/under the bed etc. Staying on top of the kids clothes is a full time job - they are growing so quickly! DC1 is only just 14 and I had to get them an adult hoodie in XL because they're so tall and their arms are so long (they've been taller than me for a year and a half already!). It's his Dutch dad. Definitely not my genes 😂

LemonDrizzle23 · 29/10/2025 07:25

Morning WOWers. Well done for weighing in. I am also starting and finishing October on the same weight which is kind of annoying. Was so excited to see the 13s and haven’t managed to get into them any further in a month!

Less exercise has been done, but also know I’ve been lazy with calories. Really want to create a bit of a loss before Christmas food descends on us 😬 Hopefully I can find a bit more motivation throughout November.

socks1107 · 29/10/2025 07:49

Morning all. I’ve gone up again this week. I lost my holiday weight now I’m a 1lb heavier than when I went.
I eat the calories I’m told to, I exercise blah blah blah. Ten weeks bouncing around 11.6.
im tearful and fed up and wish I’d just done the injections now. I don’t know what to do anymore.

well done everyone for weighing and loosing and staying the same

frostedshreddie · 29/10/2025 07:52

WOW is a 1.4 lb loss this week, happy with that!

SW: 10st 8.0
CW: 10 st 0.2
GW: 9st 7lbs

I will weigh again on Friday to round up October and take measurements too.

My plan for today is:
30 min low impact workout
B: red pepper roast
L: tiger roll with cheese
D:.carbonara

Not the healthiest day, we have friends over for a play date so I have got an easy lunch to make everyone but the biggest test will be to avoid the sugary treats I know they will bring!

Well done for all the WOWs, whatever the result! ✨

Captainladder · 29/10/2025 08:03

oh @socks1107 that is very disheartening. I don't know how you are trying to drop the weight but wonder if you are very stressed as I know that can have a huge effect on weight loss? For me I find the only way I can stick to a diet long term is by cutting out all carbs basically (but not pulses as I'm veggie and would live on cheese only otherwise, which as much as I would love it, doesn't seem like a healthful ideas!). Is there a reason you wouldn't / can't take the injections? I don't see them as cheating personally - for me I worry about potential side effects and then what happens when you come off them. And I hate needles 🤣

so if I had used my weight from yesterday (before last nights "re feed") I would have been down 1.5 kgs! As it is today's WOW stats are
SW: 100.45
CW: 99.45
mini goal weight (MGW) 95 by the wow before Christmas!
goal weight: 70? I think I'd go more by how I feel around the lower 70s and see!

Marshmellowbunny · 29/10/2025 08:08

So, as expected, I'm a bit up after my weekend away/birthday. But it's not the end of the world I suppose. I'm still in the 9 stone bracket so I'm remaining positive. I don't think I'll be at 9.5 by the NY though.
Going out for a meal tonight and the partner booked me a holiday in Holland leading up to Christmas. So I'm going to eat so much...and then there's Christmas food to consider 🤣🙈
Oh well. I'm doing what @biscuitcat is doing and giving myself until Friday for my official October weight. It's TOTM so that'll be done by then and I can see the proper damage that this weekend/week has done.

SW: 10 stone 9.6
CW: 9 stone 11.6
GW: 9 stone 5

SW: 66.58kg
CW: 63.79kg
GW: 59.4kg

Well done for WOW those that have done it/do it by the end of the day.

Oh @Socks1107 I can really sense your frustration. I'm sorry you seem to be stuck again, I know there's nothing I can say that will make it better but I'm thinking of you. Well done for keeping showing up here though!

socks1107 · 29/10/2025 08:26

@Marshmellowbunnythank you. So fed up and still overweight. Wish I’d never got fat in the first place!

@Captainladder I don’t qualify anymore, by BMI is 27 down from 34. I didn’t use them as I tried without and was doing so well.

1500 calories is clearly just too much for me! Will take the suggestion of no carbs and lower them and see where I end up. I only want to lose another stone, top of a healthy bmi would do me and I should’ve achieved that ages ago but I seem at a stuck weight. Maybe I should try a huel diet replacement for a few weeks and kickstart the last stone? Genuinely at a loss right now

TheRealHousewife · 29/10/2025 08:30

Good Morning Everyone

My WOW last week was up 1lb and this week a further 2lb 😮. I’m putting it down to natural fluctuations as I’ve certainly not been over indulging. I’m sure my weight goes up as the temp outside goes down 😅

Menu
Meal 1 - Roast Vegetable & Bean soup. Pecans
Meal 2 - Home made quiche & baked beans. Greek yoghurt, drizzle of honey.
Drinks - Tea, black coffee & water.

I need to catch up on the thread but hope you’re all ok ❤️

Ignoring my weight, went out to eat yesterday and it’s up due to salt etc.

Marshmellowbunny · 29/10/2025 09:33

@socks1107 You've done amazing so far. I know it can be disheartening but try and focus on what you've already achieved!

It looks like a lot of us are up this week! So we can blame the weather change for making us need to eat more.

Vapeaddict · 29/10/2025 09:43

I'm up slightly today as expected, but only 0.75lb so I'm still down overall for October, I'll take that as a win and try to get back on track for November!

SW: 10st7lbs
CW: 10st3.75lbs

I'm still aiming to be 10 by Christmas which sounds doable but it only seems to take a week or so of overindulgence and I'm back up to where I started. We're going away for a weekend early Dec so it's be nice to be there by then but we'll see. My main reason for joining this thread was to stop gaining more 😳 so at least I'm managing that!

Thanks for the BNS ideas- I like the sound of a warm salad and as I'm the only one that likes it, it would be a nice single serve!

TC2023 · 29/10/2025 11:19

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday.

This weeks weight 72.8kg.

SW: 74kg
TW: 65kg

0.2kg down, happy enough to still be moving in the right direction I guess? But i was hoping for more, i will weigh again on Friday and see what the actual October weight loss is. That was a quick month.

Well done to everyone on weighing today, we will get there!!

WearyAuldWumman · 29/10/2025 12:49

In spite of everything...

Start Weight: 16st 4lbs
Interim Goal: 14st
Current Weight: 14st.

Part of the loss might be water weight? No idea.

Now setting another Interim Goal of 13 st 6lbs. (That was my weight when I married. Yup, I was fat then too.)

Managed half hour Stretch class yesterday and did leg extensions and leg curls only for leg day. I'm skipping the l calf raises for a while and the leg press until I'm more confident that my tendons are settling.

I have Senior Flex and Active for Health this afternoon. Shall avoid doing too much with the legs for the latter.

Poisonwood · 29/10/2025 18:13

@socks1107 when I get disheartened I lift up a big bag of flour and work out how many of them I’ve already lost…numbers on a scale aren’t as “real” if you know what I mean. You really are doing so well, I hope you can find seeing that again.

biscuitcat · 29/10/2025 18:26

I like thinking about it in terms of luggage weight @Poisonwood - when I had lost 10kg that was a very full piece of hand luggage! @socks1107 on that metric the amount you’ve lost is at the allowed weight limit for a hold bag, imagine carrying that around all the time, it’s incredible work you’ve done.

My menu today was:

B - Greek yoghurt with plums
L - pumpkin korroke with rice
D - spinach and garlic gnocchi

TheWayTheLightFalls · 29/10/2025 18:52

@Poisonwood I measure in blocks of butter Grin I visualise all those 250g blocks on my kitchen counter.

frostedshreddie · 30/10/2025 08:56

Good Morning All
Hope you are ok @socks1107I can feel your frustration ☹️

My breakfast has been a concoction of whatever is left in the cupboards: 2 boiled eggs, sourdough, avocado, beetroot and a banana
No idea what will be for lunch and dinner but still just focusing on non processed as much as I can, I feel so better for it.

Today was meant to be the pumpkin patch but my kids aren't that bothered and when I really thought about it, I decided paying to stand in a muddy field for 15 mins is probably ok to miss out on 😅

Hope you are all having good weeks x

Poisonwood · 30/10/2025 09:38

@biscuitcat oh that’s a good idea too!!

Fellsbells · 30/10/2025 12:24

Well done everyone.

Nothing to report here, trying to knock off a couple of lbs as per.

PersistentRain · 30/10/2025 13:46

Holding steady which is good as I have eaten out twice, had a bottle of wine and cake!
Forced myself to the gym this morning, I was not in the mood, did a long session on the cross trainer so hopefully have burned some good calories.

socks1107 · 30/10/2025 16:31

Thanks everyone. Had a few tears this morning, did not expect a plateau to last this long. It’s beyond frustrating - but I tried my size 12 jeans on yesterday and they are a lovely fit so maybe some body recomp is going on? The 14s I panic bought yesterday can go back.
After much research and looking at my data I’ve decided to drop my calories to 1450 and weigh out every little thing - even my grapes and milk. I’ve slipped on my macros so going to get focused between now and Xmas and see where we are. No more moaning !!
Also considering swapping one meal a day either breakfast or lunch for a huel as a temp measure? Any one done this?

Will give it my best shot to get into a healthy bmi! Last stone to go.

your a fab bunch thank you
