Where did September go? There is a definite chill in the air some mornings now 🥶 I always feel when October is here it’s the start of the 12 week countdown to Christmas!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m mainly maintaining but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞(I briefly dipped into the 8’s last month but the scale showing 9st 1lb this morning)

Pizza and cake sounds like the perfect birthday combo!

Weight down a bit today - 13 st 13.2. I’m hoping to see 13 st 12 by the end of the month.

Next mini-goal is 13 st 8, which will make 2 stone lost in total.

Period has arrived and with it a slight increase in weight. We are also having pizza tonight. I'm not going to weigh again for a few days - no point really!

0.3kg off today which I am very happy about. I’m sure it’s going up in weights, it’s tiring though. Went to an exercise class today too and did a big walk. Flu jab later , hoping for no reaction.

I've tried to eat lightly today as we're having a homemade Indian tonight. I've tracked it all and I'm a whopping 500 over- dinner coming in at 1300 calories! I could skip the naan and save calories... But I really like naan 😭 it's a creamy curry as DC favourite/half term treat meal but it's so shockingly high in calories. I think I'll just enjoy and get back on track tomorrow.

I'm on the way down south and we just stopped at the services and all they had was McDonald's! 😮
I was good though and still came in under calories because I accidentally only had one meal today! Ended up just getting a double cheeseburger and medium fries. But I haven't had junk food in ages, it tasted so good!! I've decided to just relax a bit for HT and birthday times...I hope it's not too disastrous!

Hope you're all doing okay! Weather's not brilliant is it 🥲

@Marshmellowbunny I’ve had McDonald’s today too! We’ve come for a weekend glamping on a farm and stopped off at maccies for dinner after school on the way down - and actually I’ve ended up within calories as it was always the plan so I had a light breakfast and lunch in anticipation.

@Vapeaddict enjoy the naan! If your deficit is to lose 1lb a week, 500 over is basically maintenance calories, which isn’t a problem at all for 1 evening, especially when it’s something you’ve planned and enjoyed! (Not random snacks which are my downfall…)

A positive and peaceful day today. I ate well - yoghurt/berries/almonds, half a bowl of chicken and rice soup (was too salty, in a cafe, annoying) and a slice of plain bread, dinner was beef mince and vegetable bolognese and I just had it without pasta or cheese or garlic bread. Supper will be ryvita and a banana. An hour of yoga. Lots of cups of my new favourite tea…chai rooibos.

Last couple of days have been ok for me calorie wise. I’ve dropped by 100 and tbh am missing the extra but managing.

Off out with a friend tomorrow night so will probably end up over my cals if I don’t drive.

Been AWOL for a few days and I’ve put 2lbs on. Probably partly some carb/salt so should shift it soon.

Just about to go for a run to help the situation.Had a reality check this morning when I saw a photo from 3 years ago, I can not let this weight go back on!

Thanks @biscuitcat that's actually a really sensible way of looking at it. I think a big part of 'dieting' that I'm trying to change this time is removing the guilt around food- clearly I need to work on this a bit more! Having said that, I had the naan and I really enjoyed it 😋

NSV...got the tape measure out and my waist is 4" smaller than when I started and that's after last night's pizza !

Yes doing our best will yield good results ( eventually)
I'm now 1 and half pounds off target after a further 2 and half off this morning which surprised me a little in a way.
Will start to think about maintenance in the near future as my goal is very much in sight.

Thank you. Having a bad week. Tendon on right foot is problematic and I think I have a kidney stone. Have been given antibiotics and instruction to go back in 10 days…but no actual appointment.

Has happened before.

Weight is up a couple of pounds. Getting back on the wagon. :)

Happy Weekend All 🎃

Today has been:
Breakfast: red peppers and ricotta on sourdough
Lunch: eek 🙈 pancakes with Nutella and banana, ended up in a pancake cafe with the kids and ended up joining in! It was delicious though 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻 and I was full all afternoon.
Dinner: Baked Eggs with celeriac and beetroot

No workout but have also been decorating bedrooms today, which counts right? 😆

Weight down another little bit this morning and a busy day taking DS to meet a friend at a museum. Half term has officially started!

Having an Indian tonight, but a Charlie Bigham one which is cheaper and lower in calories than a full on take away.

Need to make sure I keep moving during half term. Monday will involve lugging a wheelbarrow round a pumpkin patch, so hopefully some calorie burn going on then!

I had a night off and had some wine. My first in months. I also had a flu jab and spent most of the day on the sofa recovering from the side effects with too much chocolate.

It’s so hard sometimes not to undo all the hard work you’ve put in m when it’s TOTM. Honestly, I feel ravenous! Yesterday was a little rushed but okay foodwise - I added an options hot chocolate in the morning and a chocolate protein yoghurt in the evening as a rare late snack…but I can already tell today is going to be hard on my willpower.

I find it hard to workout during TOTM, I feel depleted of all energy!!

The trousers I wore yesterday felt strange when I was wearing them, I late realized they are baggier around my thighs, hurrah!

@WearyAuldWumman that sounds rubbish - pain is exhausting! I hope you feel better soon, and your possible kidney stone is sorted out.
dh and I drove 3 hours away yesterday to buy a second hand car, stopped at a pub on the way home and I ordered 2 starters that were low carb veggie to stay on track. Unfortunately one of them (goats cheese pannacotta with pickled veggies and olive tapenade) was inedible - the olives looked like ground coffee and tasted like burnt toast had been scraped on top! So I ended up having half of DH's (delicious) toastie..... worth it! And in the evening we shared a celebratory bottle of wine and ate pasta because I hadn't planned things very well. Scales still on a downward trajectory though this morning. I think we might be having DH's homemade pizza tonight - which also is worth the calories.... but will stay on plan for breakfast and lunch, I figure that if I stick to my plan 80% of the time that will give some space and allow for wiggle room and consistency rather than "well I've had a glass of wine, I may as well give up now and eat ALL THE THINGS!"

I have grazed big time today. Yoghurt/fruit/almonds for breakfast, a packet of Deliciously Ella dipped almonds, a fruit shortcake biscuit, two tomatoes, an apple, a pot of Greek yoghurt, a banana, dinner was haddock, baby potatoes, red peppers and cauliflower.
