Following on from ☀️LOSE IT! May 2025☀️

⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Here comes summer!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body.

To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost just around 45lbs. After having been on the wrong side of 12st, the last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

Closing the kitchen at about 1500 calories today. Higher than I would have liked but the beef stroganoff pasta I’d scheduled for dinner was rather calorific and although I shoved in a load of spinach in to bulk it out it was still a more calorie dense meal than I usually have.

socks1107 · 10/06/2025 22:52

I bought a size 10 top today! I’m stunned it fits and I can’t wait to wear it to work in a few weeks when I go back to my office role following secondment.
closed at 1500 calories today as I’m pushing hard now for the last 5lb to my first goal and first holiday.
hi to everyone love seeing what you’ve all been eating

TheWayTheLightFalls · 11/06/2025 06:17

WOW here is 74.5kg, or 23.1 on the BMI calculator. It’s been an OK week with maintenance - I was expecting to be a little higher given a day of bad weekend eating, but overall it looks to have evened out and I am still under goal. And I had a lovely compliment on how much I have lost from a work colleague I haven’t seen for a while.

Plan today is nothing until noon then a healthy ready meal, plus dinner with the kids later. But I am about to go into work where 500 doughnuts and an on-site chef are waiting so let’s see!

@socks1107 that is an excellent milestone!

2in2022twoyearson · 11/06/2025 06:22

Sw 72.3
CW 71.9 (3 day average)
GW 65.
Target was 0.5kg a week, and been going for a week so not far off, but gotta keep at it!

frostedshreddie · 11/06/2025 07:44

I'm going to skip WOW this week. I know I am up, a few too many snacksidents have occurred and I've been super tired and grumpy with my totm due. I lost my 22 day streak of MFP boo!!!

I'm going to take a few days to reset.
Back to 1500-1600 calories today, lots of water and a lunch time walk.

Well done everyone!!

socks1107 · 11/06/2025 07:51

Wow for me was a 1lb - thrilled with that again. A 1lb a week is a good steady manageable loss. I’m 4lb away now from the goal for my first holiday in 4 weeks 🙏🏼

SW 13.13
CW 12
GW 11.8

mermadeincornwall · 11/06/2025 08:07

Same weight as last week.
Hopefully the exercise will help kick start me losing weight.
I'll keep to 1500 or less calories as well.

Good luck everyone with your WOWs.
I love reading how you're all doing🌟

EasternEcho · 11/06/2025 08:40

Great to read how everyone is doing!

Weigh in today: 168.1 lbs
Last week: 171.2
Starting weight 173.6

Still sticking with the routine of pretty repetitious preplanned meals with mostly protein during the day. Small amount of carbs at night. 10,000 steps, and weights 3 times a week. 1200 calories. Trying to be meticulous about weighting food and counting calories. Every single time I've convinced myself that I can guess at calories I've gained weight. Have also started meditating of sorts to control stress and cortisol.

biscuitcat · 11/06/2025 08:49

2lb down this week which I’m really pleased with, so my aim is to keep up with what I’ve been doing - whole, unprocessed food and increasing my fruit and veg intake. I’m exclusively breastfeeding my youngest at the moment which gives me more calories to play with - it’s a way away yet but it does make me a little nervous for when he’s weaned as I’m using most of my calories each day!

LemonDrizzle23 · 11/06/2025 09:21

Great non scale victory @socks1107!
@TheRealHousewife I hope you’re ok after your latest tumble!

Well done to everyone WOW-ing today. A good week for me - my body is clearly recovering from half term and I’m 1.6lbs down.

SW: 15 st 8
CW: 14 st 5.8

This is my lowest weight since I’ve been tracking for the last 16 or so months. The last lower weight I can remember was being 13 st 13 in Feb 2019, which was a year or so post-partum. So that’s my next mini goal.

Marshmellowbunny · 11/06/2025 09:42

What does the O stand for in WOW? Sorry if that's a silly question.

Scales were down a little today but not as much as I'd hoped. Expected it to be higher tbh as I went out with my parents for food last night and helped my dad eat his lasagne and chips. 😂

SW: 10st 7.2lb
TW: 10st 6.8lb
GW: 10st 6.5lb

Well done everyone. This is really hard.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 11/06/2025 10:02

@Marshmellowbunny - “on”!

Marshmellowbunny · 11/06/2025 10:16

TheWayTheLightFalls · 11/06/2025 10:02

@Marshmellowbunny - “on”!

Oh yeah! Duhhh. Silly me 😂

NothingTraLaLa · 11/06/2025 12:07

Lots of losses this week - well done WOWers!

Very slight loss for me this week:

CW 122.6 lbs
TW 112 lbs

TealSloth · 11/06/2025 12:44

In total for now I have loss a half a pound not alot but it's something. Need to keep up with fitness and eating right.
Good luck everyone.

2in2022twoyearson · 11/06/2025 16:13

Had a better day today, seed and nut filled breakfast. Boiled egg, lettuce and peanut butter toast lunch (healthy fridge grazing), following by some chocolate. Allthough I'm not calorie counting I did check the portion size (6 so had 8) which worked out to be about 250 calories worth. Just had an ice pop to get me through to dinner giving children smacks and they're offering me leftovers but I've resisted. Will be making spaghetti Bolognese, then stop eating, hopefully about 6pm or not much later.

socks1107 · 11/06/2025 21:39

I’ve kept to calories today ( I hardly go over now tbh five months of this had embedded some god habits) and did 24k steps.
am absolutely dreading going back to my office job in two weeks and what it may do to my health journey but fingers crossed it’ll all be ok just by lowering calories and picking up more at home routines

Fellsbells · 11/06/2025 22:44

Well done WoWers.

I’m stable at 10st (again)
Wins for this week include consistently going for a run every other day. Mostly sensible eating. Even though I’m on my period I’m not bloated.

Last week wasn’t great. I ate a lot of white bread which doesn’t do me any favours. I’ve got a few short term goals. Three weeks to do a mini glow up. And 6 weeks to improve my running for a race.

If anyone has been thinking about trying couch to 5km, do it. It’s got so many benefits. It’s improved my habits, made me consistent, fitter, more toned (slightly) improved mood, glowing skin.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 12/06/2025 06:58

Well done @Fellsbells !

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 12/06/2025 13:04

Just checking in! Work, travel and weekends have been crazy busy which has made regular exercise impossible and a bit tough to eat as well as I’d like. But I’m holding steady at 10st 8-ish. Not sure I’ll make my holiday goal off 10st 4lbs in 2 weeks, but will do my best to lose another lb or two before I go!

ReallyNeedToLoseWeightNow · 12/06/2025 15:52

I’ve lost another 2 pounds!! I’m actually so proud of myself!! I must have been eating so much extra food before 😬😬

WearyAuldWumman · 12/06/2025 19:56

The scale keeps oscillating for me. Might have gone down half a pound, but not sure.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 13/06/2025 06:57

Similar here @WearyAuldWumman . I was ravenous yesterday and just ate and ate - an extra meal, chocolate. Braced myself this morning, scales down a bit. Earlier in the week they were (apparently randomly ) higher. Definitely not a fault with the scales. I wonder if it’s my cycle because I am baffled otherwise.

PatienceOfEngels · 13/06/2025 08:15

Plodding along. Weight hasn't gone up or down more than 100g each way.
Feeling a bit more in control with food (minimised snacking) and getting outside a bit more is helping. Went for a forest walk before work yesterday.

Still struggling with tech use/doom scrolling and not drinking enough water.

Focusing on spring cleaning main areas of house today as it's really getting me down.

Going to be 32 degrees here so dinner mostly made (pasta salad, so pasta cooked and eggs boiled...no hob/oven needed tonight).

Not sure what's for lunch - may make myself a salad bowl.

Going to be hot again tomorrow - not a fan of the heat!

Will journal today and start making more of a plan for myself.

rainbow616 · 13/06/2025 08:21
