Yay! My parcel has arrived, so back on track come Monday! Am quite relieved!!

@EatingTillIDie love your graph! Looking good!

@Helene2019 glad things are moving again for you! Are you the first one of us to move up to 1.7? Let us know how you go?

@Pushkinini so glad you’re feeling better now. Fingers crossed going up the dose slower helps and you don’t get the nasty side effects.

@AhBiscuits youre smashing it!!! Not long until you’re at your goal!

Tindrum · 23/02/2024 22:45

Loving the graphs, thought I’d share mine. Lost a couple if stone dieting last year then put some back on over summer then started Wegovy in October:

@Tindrum what a graph! Amazing! How much have you lost so far?

PurpleFlower1983 · 24/02/2024 08:05

Can you guess when I started Wegovy? 🤣

21lbs down since 9th December. Slow and steady.

Aw thanks @Lovesthebeach, just over 3st. As you can see it has taken a while but that healthy bmi is getting tantalisingly closer.

alltoowell92 · 24/02/2024 09:01

I’m on my 6th week and only lost a pound or two. I know they say it can be slow to start for some, but I found my first few weeks on 0.25 were a lot better at curbing my appetite. It’s my 2nd week on 0.5 now and I’ve been starving! Has anyone else felt this way? Maybe my body has just adapted very quickly to the medication, I’ve had barely any side effects.

Tindrum · 24/02/2024 09:45

@alltoowell92 I definitely remember finding .5 a resounding disappointment after .25 but 1mg is much better, in fact I’m still on that dose and have been for a while.

mammazitta · 24/02/2024 10:28

I have no appetite suppressant on 0.5mg I'm very disappointed. I lost 6lbs on 0.25mg but nothing in the last 2 weeks on 0.5mg. I'm hoping that 1mg will be much better. If I have no appetite suppressant at 1mg I will have to give up as it's far too expensive for it not to work

MorphandMindy · 25/02/2024 15:27

I have had a hectic couple of weeks... been away for half term and took my first 1mg the day we flew - and despite the All-Inclusive resort and 4-mimosa-a-day diet, managed to actually lose 2lbs/1kg. I was quite expecting to see that the scales had gone up, in fact I was certain I'd be up about half a stone, so that was a shock.

I did have the most awful diarrhoea for most of the week away, mostly overnight/early morning - but I think it was linked to my evening meals. I realised that even at home I normally do not eat fatty or greasy fried food, and the resort was full of it. To the point where I was trying to stay mindful of food choices, by ordering veggie tempura as the lightest thing on the menu, but couldn't finish it because of the oil! Got quite annoyed with DH always booking the a la carte restaurants because the buffet had a nice selection of salads and fruit. It was easy to have fruit for breakfast and skip lunch but we were always eating heavier meals in the evening.

No tummy issues AT ALL since I came back, and I've lost another pound (but I've been out late 4 nights in a row and probably eating all the wrong things).

Start weight was 84.5kgs
Currently 72kgs.

So that's 12.5kgs or 27lbs down. I still have a BMI of 26 but I haven't been this close to "healthy weight" in over a decade.

I also feel I'm reaching the final stages of my journey. My face looks different in my work zoom calls. I am hoping to lose another half a stone, because I will definitely bounce up half a stone as soon as I stop, but that might be enough slippage room to allow me to stabilise and hold it there.

Edited - typo!

Lou4564 · 25/02/2024 18:31

Anyone else find that on week 3 of 0.25 the diarrhoea and nausea only started ..! Not extreme but didn’t have any side effects first two weeks

AhBiscuits · 25/02/2024 19:08

It could be something you've eaten that triggered it. I always feel fine unless I eat either too much, too much fat or have alcohol.

@AhBiscuits thank you! Going up to .05 next week so hoping it’s an easy transition haha

PanettoneSoprano · 25/02/2024 19:37

Well done on the holiday weight loss @MorphandMindy!

I've just done my first week on 0.75. The appetite suppression is complete. I'm moderately hungry in the morning and can manage breakfast but then my stomach just turns off for the rest of the day and I'm having to force food down. I went out with my husband last night and felt like a right killjoy, poking at my dinner and nursing a glass of wine, which was frankly, grotesque. I haven't told him about the injections and I think he's starting to get a bit worried about my sudden weight loss and behaviour around food.

PrimalLass · 25/02/2024 21:47

I keep chickening out with starting but you are all really inspiring. I'll do the jab tomorrow! Or is it best at night?

I have had same. Have followed the dosage advice and now on 1 mg. No weight loss to report really. Drink water all day long and don't eat more than 12 00 calories most days.Have a fairly physical job. Current weight 12.9. Target weight is 10. 6. Nothing happening.

I am going to do the same as you and get down to 7lbs under my target weight so I have some wriggle room. It sounds like a very good idea to me.

2Tired4Anything · 26/02/2024 01:43

just want to say, that after being really good all week someone bought me a cinnabon roll. This thing was huge, and I thought what harm can it do so I decided to eat it. After eating the whole thing I feel terribly sick. im still awake at 1.40am because I cant sleep and my tummy is absolutely doing backflips. The worse part is, I dont even know why I ate it because I certainly didnt enjoy the taste thanks for these pens. Feel so awful right now :(

Has anyone skipped a week for a holiday? I'm going away soon and really conflicted about what to do.

It's a special holiday and although I don't want to eat sometimes if I have slightly too much I can't sleep due to being able to feel the food in my stomach if that makes sense. I don't want any sleepless nights on my hols!

I'm interested to know if this is possible too. DH is 60 at the beginning of April and we're off to a European city for 4 nights, I seem to be the runs 24 to 36 hours after a dose so really don't want to have to cope with that while I'm away.

I normally inject on a Saturday so I'm thinking I could perhaps do 8 days between each jab for the next 4 weeks which would make my injection day Wednesday which should hopefully mean by Saturday, when we go, that the side effects have passed.

AhBiscuits · 26/02/2024 08:14

I skipped a week at Christmas. It was OK but it did feel like it took me some time to get back into it. My first injection after the break seemed to do nothing and it was a few weeks before it built back up again.

A few ppl have said that 0.5 has been a big disappointment after having success on 0.25, I’ve just taken my 3rd pen of 0.5 and the last couple of weeks have been rubbish.
Have put a couple of the lbs id lost in the first 4 weeks back on :(

I am assuming it is because after 0.25 for 4 weeks our body adjusts to the dose and you lose the affects (same as a lot of medication after a while) and then 0.5 just isn’t really enough for the body to kickstart it again, like you’ve nudged the dose but not quite enough - IYSWIM???

I am persevering, I’ve got another 0.5 left for next week but I might just order the 1 and go for it if this week doesn’t go to plan.

I read an interesting article yesterday about the success of wegovy and it’s less about initial loss and more about long term use. So the people who have been very successful are those that continue through the plateau and crappy weeks. Apparently the majority of people don’t even get to 3 months use!!!!

It’s an expensive experiment and I guess that’s the issue, I’ve hit a plateau (And small gain) after 5 weeks, it’s tempting to give up but I’m not going to. I’ll do the 3 mths at least and see what happens!

good luck for a successful week everyone!!!

Jacci63 · 26/02/2024 08:28

I am going on holiday in April and am not going to inject while I am away. My husband has actually told me he would rather I didn't as he does not want me to suffer any side effects whilst we are away and I agree with him.

I have a lot to lose so I think that a couple of breaks for my hols is fine. I will let you know when I do it!

Lovesthebeach · 26/02/2024 08:48

Morning everyone! I’m back on the 1.0 today. I ended up taking 0.63 on Wednesday after the delays to my new pen, so hopefully taking two doses 5 days apart is ok 🤷🏼‍♀️
