I’m taking my last 1ml dose on Saturday.
My aim when I started was for the jag to help me get into good habits, but the nausea has stopped me from getting into any decent routine with my diet at all.
I also have some weird joint pains that I haven’t experienced before, could be totally unrelated, but I want to come off before I see a GP. I never intended on being on it long term. I don’t take any medication usually unless I absolutely have to.
I have lost 16lb since the end of November which I am glad about, just hoping I manage to keep it off and try to do it on my own again.

Do you mind me asking about your joint pain? I've had shoulder pain that has got much worse over time and have now been referred to a MSK consultant as it's affecting my day-to-day life. But I assumed it was a coincidence as I haven't read any others talking about joint pain.

EC22 · 20/02/2024 22:30

I have never had joint pains before but I’m having pain in my lower back and both hips, and also carpel tunnel type pain in my wrist finger and arm, that is completely new for me.
It isn’t a recognised symptom but it is of other diabetes medication and I’ve found lots of people talking about it online.

Mine started shortly after starting the injections. I am now in a lot of pain. I'll see what the specialist says.

EC22 · 20/02/2024 22:40

Mine only started after going up to 1mg, I am not certain it’s the wegovy but it’s enough to tip the balance for me to stop now.

Hope you get some relief from your pain soon.

I'm on 1mg now (5 weeks in). And the pain is bad now. But could be completely coincidental!

Lovesthebeach · 21/02/2024 06:59

I’m Soooo annoyed! I ordered my next one last week and it was sent on Thursday by Royal Mail tracked 24 and it’s still not here 😩 looking at the tracking it looks like it’s stuck somewhere!
i ordered some needles yesterday from Amazon so I can at least take the 0.5 I have left today,… (was due to inject on Monday). I felt really hungry yesterday but I’m sure it was probably psychological?!
if I take 0.5 today do you think it will be ok to take 1.0 next Monday?

anoldcharter · 21/02/2024 08:35

I've used Chemist 4u for each pen, you have to go through the consultation each time but its literally 2 mins of questions, no uploading of photos etc - pens have arrived in a couple of days and the last order (1mg pen) was only £169 - i would definitely recommend

Chonkymunkey · 21/02/2024 10:19

Hi all, starting 0.5mg today. The last 0.25 week felt like normal, really had to use the willpower.
In the 4 weeks of 0.25 I've lost 15lbs. I feel the horrendous stomach bug from LO played a major role in that.
Going all in with the 0.5mg will report back.

wevegotthepower · 21/02/2024 13:42

I did Bolt Pharmacy as someone recommended on here as £159 per pen

Pushkinini · 21/02/2024 14:15

MedExpress are cheap. You do have to upload a photo and they did call me to run through my consultation. If you add the pen to your basket and leave it a bit, they generally send you a discount code. I bought 0.5 for £132 last month and have just been emailed 15% off for my next order again.

They didn’t have 0.25 in stock or I would have gone with these two. They refunded me within 24 hours unlike the larger pharmacies who seem to take peoples money knowing they don’t have stock for weeks

£132 is a bargain

Habbyhadno · 21/02/2024 17:57

Errrr, so I just placed an order as I have one week left and they're out of stock of 0.25 and 0.5 until March!!! Not sure what to do.

ProfYaffle · 21/02/2024 18:11

Thanks all. Lots to think about. Wish it was all a bit easier! Have to admit I like the idea of stock guarantee after being messed about by Boots so much.

I'm a bit alarmed to read about the joint pain, I've had weird hip pain since taking Wegovy and hadn't made the connection. Confused

wevegotthepower · 19/02/2024 22:29

How many calories are people taking a day compared to before?

Are you tracking?

I'm having 800-1000 usually and yes, tracking. I started out a bit higher.

Lovesthebeach · 21/02/2024 19:53

this is the first issue I’ve had with ordering. I rang pharmacy2u earlier and they said it looks like it’s lost in transit but they have to wait 72 hours for Royal Mail to investigate!!!

They said they may send me a new one in the meantime as obviously it gets sent with ice packs, but then emailed this arvo and said that it’s fine out the fridge…: all very well and good but where the hell is it!!???

I used the remainder of my 1.0 pen today and counted clicks, so have taken a dose of 0.64 instead of 1….
if no news tomorrow I’m going to call again and complain and ask them to send a new one otherwise it won’t be here in time for Monday… 🤦🏼‍♀️

Who did you order with??

Flatleak · 21/02/2024 20:12

Urgh. Have just gone to order 2.4mg through my normal supplier (Superdrug) and they won't let me collect from any London pharmacies any more?!

They also won't (and have never) offered delivery for wegovy, so essentially have just prevented me being able to continue my treatment with them by stealth 😡

Hopthegoodgod · 21/02/2024 21:03

I am 12 weeks in now and still lost nothing. No side effects . Currently on the 1 mg dose. So disappointed.

Lou4564 · 21/02/2024 21:08

Two week weigh in on .25 dose and 2.5 pound down I know it’s not much hit hopefully all the little losses add up!

Well done Lou, the little losses do add up. I have been on 6 weeks and lost 12lbs.
Good luck!

Habbyhadno · 21/02/2024 22:08

@Lovesthebeach it was with Asda, they emailed to say it wasn't available and was due back in stock until March, and I could cancel. So I messaged back to cancel and ordered through Med Express, but I've literally had an email from Asda to say the Royal Mail parcel is on the way for delivery. Not sure what to do now as it was sent after I emailed to cancel - so I've asked for a refund.

Not sure how they go from 'we don't have any stock and your order is on hold' to 'it's in the post'?!

It's the long haul. Plus the effects don't really kick in until you're at about 1.0.

Lovesthebeach · 22/02/2024 06:52

@Habbyhadno that’s so frustrating! I hope they get it sorted and issue a refund asap!

my parcel is still stuck so I’m going to ask them to send a replacement… if it’s not turned up after a week with next day delivery then I doubt it’s turning up at all!
