@Andrasa thanks for the info, I did my first 0.25 Tuesday just straight out the fridge, I was just confused after reading ??? Comment, I'm going to keep it the fridge so I know where it is

I have now lost 1 1/2 stones and changed stones for the second time . Still no one has noticed though I do wear clothes that hide my figure .

Did you take any photos when you started, in no/tight fitting clothes? I think you’ll be shocked about how much your body will have changed!

I found it wasn’t until I lost more than 2 stone and started wearing for fitted stuff that suddenly everyone was commenting on it, including postman. Mostly to tell me not to lose any more as I would look sickly, despite my bmi at the time being around 25.

AhBiscuits · 16/02/2024 11:33

I've lost 24lbs, no one has noticed mine either. Hmph.
I'm going to a 40th party tomorrow with some people I haven't seen in a while. One of those fuckers better notice.

I've decided to stay on 1mg for the foreseeable, even if my need for exercising a bit of self control and willpower increases. It will be good practice for coming off. I've got 12 weeks of 1mg to use and I might stop after that. I'll have been on it for 6 months, I should be close to my goal by then. I'm going to focus on getting in a really good place with my diet and increasing exercise with a view to just carrying on the same without the drug.

On the noticing issue. I do notice when people lose weight but would never say so. I won't point out when they put on weight so I think it is a similar thing.
Do other people who get their pen online worry that it freezes in the packaging? Aparently freezing is a no no. When I received mine from Pharmacy4U the accompanying freezer pack right next to the pen box was still very hard frozen, how cold must it have been at the start of its journey?

Andrasa · 16/02/2024 12:16

Here’s the difference 11 months on ozempic/wegovy and an 18kg/2.8 stone loss has made. I’ve done some exercise but once a week if that so this is 99% just nutrition. Annoyingly I have thrown this sports bra away so can’t do exact comparison.

my waist size is still 32 inches so I’d like to shave a bit off there, same with boobs at 30g, but overall I am really happy!

really recommend taking starting photos even if they look terrible as it makes the comparison that much better when you see yourself every day and don’t notice how much the gradual changes add up.

What a difference, you must be delighted

I am! Although it’s cost me roughly £2k in pen cost 😬

AhBiscuits · 16/02/2024 13:42

I've been keeping track of my spend. I'm on £1059. That includes the 2 pens I've just ordered, so just over 6 months supply in total.
It's a lot and if I told DH how much I've spent he would consider it a ridiculous waste of money, as eating less is free. Thing is though, I wouldn't have done it. I'm starting to feel fairly comfortable with how I look and without Wegovy I would 100% still be gaining and miserable.

@Andrasa

Well done you and thank you for sharing this wonderful update. So uplifting.

AhBiscuits · 16/02/2024 17:51

Just had an email from Health Express to say Mounjaro is in stock. Tempting!

No I hate how I look so much I avoid like the plague .

i wear a uniform - tunic and A line skirt .so hides a lot - when I told my manager I had put a stone on in a year she said you couldn’t tell . My uniform skirt though is definitely much looser .
i tend to wear leggings and long tops out of work so again no that noticeable . I need to try some of the stuff that hasn’t fit for a while but avoid as I don’t want to be disappointed .

I know health wise has to be much better . So will keep going but only a few work people know so will wait till someone notices .

I had that email too. Then I googled swopping and it doesn’t seem that easy to swop between the two.

AhBiscuits · 16/02/2024 19:14

Yeah I reckon I'd have to start again and probably wouldn't get it as my BMI is only 28 now.

OP posts:
AhBiscuits · 16/02/2024 19:14

It's more expensive too.

Crazymadchickenlady · 16/02/2024 20:32

I read something about having to wait a month or two to let the Weygovy go out of your system and then start again with Mounjaro. My bmi is still high enough to get it though sadly!

Pushkinini · 16/02/2024 20:38

Has anyone got any tips to curb the diarrhoea? The last 3 days have been awful and I can't pin it down to any foods in particular. Is it wise to take Imodium or something?

hellsbells99 · 16/02/2024 21:10

I am more or less following @AhBiscuits progress, although my loss is very slightly less at 22lbs over 12 weeks. I am very happy with this and I can tell the difference - belt tighter by 2 notches on my jeans! 1 friend that I met last week did comment that I was looker trimmer. I started at over 17 stone and to see the scales start with 15 now is a great motivator. I am suffering with some constipation but otherwise doing okay. I am on the 1mg dose as of last week.
I do find it difficult resisting food in the evenings as that was when I always snacked - some habits are hard to break! I allow myself a small kitkat (100 calls) if desperate. I have been out for 2 meals this week (and do most weeks) and managed not to go overboard. I am eating smaller portions.
@Andrasa you are looking great - well done.

🤣

Oh god, I've just realised I've spent £510 so far! Tbf I haven't started my 3rd pen yet, but I've only lost 11lbs. It's an investment, it's an investment...

PanettoneSoprano · 16/02/2024 21:32

Lovesthebeach · 12/02/2024 21:23

@PanettoneSoprano I hope your daughter is ok and that you’re both home now x

Thanks @Lovesthebeach , she is on the mend now 😊

hellsbells99 · 16/02/2024 22:00

I ordered from pharmacy2u yesterday and got 10% off using this code 85FDWW

OhpoorMe · 17/02/2024 08:58

Checking in to report my week 13 progress. I'm staying on 1mg for a second month as I really struggle with the constipation.

Lost another pound even though I've been on holiday. So that's 25pounds in total! Am seeing the scales start with 13 for the first time in years!

hellsbells99 · 17/02/2024 10:05

Well done @OhpoorMe !
I am going to stay on 1mg too for the same reason even though I phased it in by doing a couple of weeks at 0.75

AhBiscuits · 17/02/2024 10:32

Well done @OhpoorMe , that's a big chunk of weight to lose, you must feel great.

As I mentioned upthread, I'm sticking to 1mg. I don't have constipation issues, it just feels strong enough for me.

I’ve just moved up to Wegovy 0.5, I’ve lost 8lbs in total from 181lbs to 173lbs. I’m 5’5 so I’d like to get closer to 130lbs. I definitely felt my appetite come back with a vengeance last week so happy to be on a stronger one. So far a bit of nausea but side effects not too bad. I’ve noticed more peach fuzz on my face and wondering if it’s a weird side effect or I’m just perimenopausal. I’m thinking of trying Mounjaro but I don’t want to take a month off as I am losing. I’ve been taking weekly progress photos and can really see the difference in my belly fat and love handles.
