So as we are about to embark into 2024 and our year of fabulousness time for a new thread.

I’m going to begin in earnest next week when the gym is back open but I’m not eating as much this week and mucking out every day for fitness . Weirdly I’ve gone off sweet stuff, long may it last

How much have I lost in 2 weeks. Not a single solitary ounce.
best get the fatness pal back out.

I am hoping for a loss this week. Nothing in diary until weigh day on Fri. I do find MFP boring life - I am looking forward to being hopefully on the other side of it soon

Happierwithouthim · 22/04/2024 14:30

Life no gain though and you were on hols from work! Bright side out Smile
Dd's birthday out of the way, weather is good so exercise will be done.

I'd like a loss this week too, because I'm wasting money if I'm not putting full effort in.

Happierwithouthim · 25/04/2024 12:16

I've stopped snacking mindlessly, today is Day 2, but I didn't have a proper dinner yesterday so I'm genuinely hungry this morning, all I brought to work was my porridge, can't wait for 1pm!

Yesterday I stopped at the shop and got a Galaxy Ripple and can of NOCCO, I left the chocolate in the boot of my car & drank the can, which contains 180mg of caffeine. I don't have any caffeine in my diet at all. I was wide awake last night and can still feel it today. Grin

Found a 10k that's happening at top of my road at end of May so I'm going to aim for that next. I'll be doing 5 miles this weekend, will build up to 6 and then aim to get a good time at that run Smile

How's mfp going life
How's your plan going gen sorry I can't remember the name of it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/04/2024 15:49

Mfp is not going.
Been doing gym so feel less bloated. No crisps or choc.

i could not live without caffeine or know I had a choc bar in the car. Kudos to you

Still enjoying Peloton.

Still weight-stable. It's doing to take something drastic to shift this and I don't have the emotional or other resources to do this right now.

I accept being weight-stable as a better position than I was when the year started.

Gensola · 25/04/2024 17:16

@2024Hackathon weight stable is a win especially in times of stress.

I have lost a pound finally so on 131 now - hope it stays off for my official weigh in tomorrow.
I have stuck to plan all week except last night when I had a couple of gin and slim line tonics but still woke up to a loss so hopefully I got away with it 😂
it’s the Human Being Diet happier
I couldn’t leave a bar of chocolate in my car. I was in a colleagues office for 2 hours today for a small group meeting and they had a bag of minstrels on the table and I was staring at it the whole time 😄

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/04/2024 19:42

Weight stable is excellent hack
and well done gen

im going to see if I can get the human being diet book from the library

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/04/2024 05:32

I’ve got up to go to the gym. Feel tired and like I’m a bit stuffy so I’m not

OP posts:
Gensola · 26/04/2024 06:20

My 1 pound is back on today in time for my official weigh in. So annoyed.

hope you feel better soon life

Gym today and hot yoga later. Not sure what the point of it all is if I can’t even lose a single pound and keep it off 🤣

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/04/2024 10:38

sob. Most of my lovely size 8 summer trouser are going to charity —all—
I have some lovely ones too.

Happierwithouthim · 26/04/2024 15:20

No life put them into a vacuum bag up into attic unless you feel that your body shape has changed or they're unrealistic to hold on to.

I had salmon & feta salad for lunch here twice this week and enjoyed, but literally lettuce, tomato, salmon & feta so I must up my game, seeds for crunch, more salad veg/fruit etc.

Happierwithouthim · 30/04/2024 09:55

I could see a loss coming at the weekend so when I went out for dinner I didn't have wine, it still hasn't shown up, maybe taco fries Sun eve and pad thai yesterday are to blame.

But no bloat and clothes fitting well, which is more important than the number on the scales.

2024Hackathon · 30/04/2024 11:56

Still weight-stable.

Happierwithouthim · 30/04/2024 13:44

Bought a multigrain sourdough loaf at the weekend, had two thin slices of it toasted with 3 cherry tomatoes, iceberg lettuce & home made tuna mayo mix with a pear for my lunch and I'm absolutely stuffed.

And bought some prechopped tropical fruit in my grocery shop at the weekend so that's there for snacks if I'm hungry later on.

Gensola · 30/04/2024 15:42

I am down 2 pounds - 130/9 stone 4. Will refrain from booze this eve (out for dinner with an old friend) and on Thurs (opera with DH) in hope that I can break into the 120s this week.
I have been called for a hospital appt on 7 May which could mean surgery to drain fluid from my leg, that would be good as it’s sore but would also mean 2 weeks off work and no gym.

Happierwithouthim · 30/04/2024 15:52

Excellent Gen that's brilliant, release of fluids could add to the weight loss too right?

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/05/2024 05:30

Evxllemt gen. Also do you need to get it done before your move

Apparently my fitness age is 44.5 now. Which considering I’m pushing 49 I’ll take that NSV

Happierwithouthim · 01/05/2024 08:27

Excellent life

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/05/2024 07:19

i ate a whole crackure hazelnut milk bar last night. My god it was heaven and I regret nothing.

sleep in this morning rather than gym. But I’m still going 5 days this week so all good. Missed arm day

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 02/05/2024 08:07

I ate the Galaxy Ripple that was in my boot yesterday, only regret is I ate it in the car & it was like the wrapper was shrink wrapped on to it so when I tried to free the bar it scattered everywhere. And I ate the two remaining squares of my Cadbury mint crisp from the evening before

I did my usual canal walk yesterday 4+ miles in just over an hour.

I would like to run today but it's forecast for heavy rain and I'm a fair weather runner Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/05/2024 05:36

Boo on chocolate car

not the best food wise yesterday. No gym either. Back on it today

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 03/05/2024 06:38

I knew a drop was coming! I'm delighted 11st 9.5lbs it flashed 8.5lbs too so that mightn't be too far away.

I never changed my alarm from two weeks ago when I worked on Fri so going to get out for a run this morning before work. I'm doing a 23k walk on Sun so probably best not to run tomorrow, we'll see.

I'm no longer obese Grin
