So as we are about to embark into 2024 and our year of fabulousness time for a new thread.

I’m going to begin in earnest next week when the gym is back open but I’m not eating as much this week and mucking out every day for fitness . Weirdly I’ve gone off sweet stuff, long may it last

Consistently 162.25lbs when I came back from my run so I'm owning that now!

Gensola · 03/05/2024 08:11

yay, congrats Happier!!
we went to theatre in London (tickets from Xmas time!) and had a massive dinner and far too much wine. I feel rather delicate today and not inclined to get on the scales 😂

Happierwithouthim · 03/05/2024 08:42

Ha ha gen completely understandable
Was it a great night out?

Happierwithouthim · 03/05/2024 08:42

Using Christmas presents in May is a brilliant feeling

Gensola · 03/05/2024 09:08

It was such a great night, we had a brilliant time. But right now I never want to drink again 😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/05/2024 09:14

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/05/2024 10:24

23km hike done on Sun and skinned two of my little toes so didn't exercise yesterday, actually didn't do a lot at all, not even much eating. Had american style pancakes with strawberries, maple syrup and american style bacon for breakfast, chicken and coleslaw sandwich for lunch and a split pot yogurt for dinner.

I think I'll have to give my toes toes tonight off as well, walking tomorrow eve with bf and back to running then on Thurs.

I did a fairly healthy shop yesterday so I'm prepared for salads this week for lunches and chicken based dinners also. Went to Lidl for a change and was pleased eith what I got.

2024Hackathon · 07/05/2024 16:19

NSV: my resting pulse rate is back down to the low 50s.

And my resting BP is 90s/50s

So, weight stable and some of the major health indicators are good so I shall continue to be grateful for what I can manage just now. (Yes, I'd do more Peloton if I had more time in the day but that's a pipe dream. As it is, I do more than I realise.)

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/05/2024 17:56

Sounds like you are going fab hack.
well done happier but ouch toesies.

so
many carbs today

I did a chronological fitness test and was a little surprised to see that calculator estimates that my fitness age is 18 years younger than my actual age.

I have to admit that I don't feel that but I'm content with racking up NSVs and waiting patiently for SVs to follow.

Gensola · 07/05/2024 20:26

Ouch for your poor toes happier - hope they feel better soon! 23k would take me all day 😂

@2024Hackathon that’s an amazing NSV, my resting heart rate is really high, not sure why - maybe because I drink too much coffee? I am a healthy BMI now and I exercise 3-4 times a week but it is still high.

life carbs are fuel… 😄

I have a rotten cold that has affected my taste buds so on the plus side I’ve only had 850 cals today. Downside I missed the gym as I felt like death. I’ve been called for surgery to remove some benign growth on my leg, which is minor but won’t be able to exercise for 2-4 weeks so need to watch the food even more.

Happierwithouthim · 07/05/2024 21:35

It took from 10am to 3:30pm including one break.
I love doing things like this out of my comfort zone

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/05/2024 06:56

I didn’t gym today as tired after a long work day yesterday. Of carb bloat so lots of water today

hope the cold does one gen and the surgery goes well.
defo some good results there hack. Keep it up.
amazing happier

I really wanted to walk the dog but if I did, my littlest toe would've been sore and then I might have had to cancel my longer walk with bf this evening. I watched Emmerdale instead, poor ddog Sad

Summer colds are the worst.

Chronological fitness test sounds intriguing

2024Hackathon · 08/05/2024 08:10

Chronological fitness test sounds intriguing

It's just one of those biological age/fitness age calculators. I don't recall what it involved but it was things like height, age, weight, how many hours a week you exercise at a particular intensity etc. I don't know recall if it asked for heart rate at rest or BP.

It's based on population metrics rather than your individual ones, IYSWIM.

Happierwithouthim · 09/05/2024 22:57

If I'm 11st10 night time weigh in what's it going to say in the morning Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/05/2024 08:22

I e been sooooo off it this week feeling grotty and sickly. Back to gym today

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 11/05/2024 08:57

The answer was 11st 10 Confused
I'm so tired this week. Got up for darkness into light at 4:30am this morning. Planned a run but I'm still tired & bf rightly suggested I wait until tomorrow, I'm out walking with the dog now.

Hope you get out of the funk life

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/05/2024 12:20

I feel better for goi g to barre. I’m super fat so eating measured start today. Again :)

2024Hackathon · 11/05/2024 14:10

The answer was 11st 10

Happier, much empathy as I'm bouncing up and down with the same pound which is why I'm ignoring the numbers until there's something consistently below 130.

NB: I ended up measuring this on 2 devices to check, but you can tell the weather has an impact because my systolic BP (top number) has been dipping into the high 80s (not even the 90s).

Happierwithouthim · 11/05/2024 15:45

It's stuck on it day & night! I know I'm lighter, I was 11st 8.25lbs last week

Happierwithouthim · 11/05/2024 15:47

I did a short darkness into light walk this morn, then walked with ddog about 9am
Had a nana nap this afternoon 3 hours in bed virgin river playing on Netflix saw all of one episode listened to most of a second one. I needed that.

Gensola · 11/05/2024 16:56

I’m also bouncing around 130-132 😩 so boring.
life well done for going to the gym!
