So as we are about to embark into 2024 and our year of fabulousness time for a new thread.

I’m going to begin in earnest next week when the gym is back open but I’m not eating as much this week and mucking out every day for fitness . Weirdly I’ve gone off sweet stuff, long may it last

Welcome puff sounds like you've a lot going on, I'd agree with life add one new thing in each week.
Today will be the last day you see that number on the scales

Gen enjoy the travel

Did a decent walk yesterday, I had hoped to walk the dog before getting going for the day, I'm still on holidays, but it's raining so I'll leave that until later on.

In airport and have bought a healthy chicken salad and fizzy water to take on plane in case the offering is unhealthy.

had scrambled egg, 1 bacon rasher and 1 slice of rye bread for breakfast. Three coffees so far 😄

I have that hunger you get from not enough sleep so just going to try and drink water and wait it out.

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/01/2024 10:42

Walk to the station 6k steps. Cheese scone from the nice bakers that is usually shut when I’m work travelling.

stupid asod (fully clothed with shoes) 150lb. So my guess of 145 isn’t far out. Will weigh properly tomorrow as was just testing battery change

good idea re pre buy gen.

I'm 1.25lbs heavier than my pre Christmas weight, it was higher a few days ago. Currently eating in a greasy spoon with dc so I got a toasted chicken & cheese wrap which was heavy on chicken & low on cheese luckily!

My friend brought scones the other day, they weren't her best work so I only had one!

Happierwithouthim · 02/01/2024 22:37

Chipper for dinner we're out since 12:30 & still 40 mins from home.
Back to salads tomorrow!!

Byebyefattum · 03/01/2024 00:24

did lots of cooking today and have my meals in the fridge just ready to go. Been the the gym but I’ve twanged my knee so took it easy, reckoned something was better than nothing! No sweet or chocolate today whoop 🙌

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/01/2024 06:11

Starting weight 144.3

Glad I went walking yesterday evening, skies look dark today.

When endocrinologist put me on metformin in Oct, I was to take 500mg once a day for a month, 500mg twice a day for a month & then 850mg twice a day. Metformin didn't agree with me two years ago when I first took it. I took first month as planned, second month I did probably every second day taking two 500mg, I'm now into third month & I've decided to take 850mg in the morning and 500mg in the evening until I finish out 500mg tablets, then I'll move up to 850mg twice a day, so far so good, no ill effects.

Byebyefattum that's great forward planning, hope it helps you stick to your plan.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/01/2024 11:48

My dog disappeared for a while today, she came back absolutely filthy & I don't have time to take her for a wash before she goes to kennels tomorrow eve Blush

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/01/2024 17:25

Oh how worrying. Naughty dog

15k steps. Food ok but still eating left overs and cupboards which makes tracking harder

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/01/2024 07:50

Back to pre Christmas weight this morning what I thought was bloat for Christmas overindulgence was actually pms bloat, after 11 years I've forgotten the signs, sleeping in car on way to Dublin was a bit of a giveaway though!

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/01/2024 17:33

I haven’t asod or tracked but I I know I’m well under calories

don’t envy you that one happier

Walked into Grafton Street from Convention Centre & back so achieved my 10000 steps yesterday and swam in pool for 30mins also before breakfast so I think my weekend was ok.

Had a pastry with breakfast and had dessert on way home also.

HIIT yikes

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/01/2024 11:07

I did 10k steps too yesterday. Food was reasonably ok but salt and vinegar crinkles mmmmm

gym tonight for possibly weights and Zumba

Happierwithouthim · 08/01/2024 11:35

We were in Kingdom of Sweets yesterday and Takis were €8 ShockShockShock

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/01/2024 13:12

Good grief. I’ll see how much they are and send you some

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 08/01/2024 13:49

I showed him and he said he's not bothered about them, but I was shocked, however Pringles were €8 also, and they're like €3.50 full price in supermarket and nearly always on offer somewhere

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/01/2024 17:53

That’s a total tourist price hike.
ok food wise and gym later. Can feel yesterday in my legs. Think I’ll skip weights until next week

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 09/01/2024 07:58

Urgh sore throat and feeling sniffy

2.5 off with not much effort though (bloat)

Happierwithouthim · 09/01/2024 08:05

Great to be shrinking back to preChristmas size life

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/01/2024 20:58

Rubbish day food wise as ended up with a sandwich at work. Triggers a unhealthy day

Happierwithouthim · 09/01/2024 21:05

I'd a hard day at work, came home and made chicken orzo for dinner then Christmas chocolates caught my eye salted caramel butlers had 4, then collected dd from horse riding & stopped at shop for a twirl, it was solid chocolate I wanted the butlers weren't hitting the spot now I'm going to bed before I do more damage.
